    Job Description:

    ICEEMPRESS

Another day at the Sabertooth guild hall where members talk to each other and enjoy themselves while some go on jobs and help other. Riley walked through the front gate and headed straight towards the request board, greeting a few people along the way. The request board, as usual was filled with colorful flyers, each holding text requesting help from the guild wizards. People all over Fiore send these to the legal guilds when they need assistance. The pair of purple eyes scanned through the board, not finding a single request that aided her boredom. She let out a sigh.

The young slayer wanted to do a job that would challenge her strength. She was tired of doing ordinary jobs, she wanted to do something more adventurous and more dangerous. Her eyes traveled to her pet who leisurely and without a care in the world, played with his fellow animal friends. Riley's eyes drifted back to the board where she spotted a particular piece of paper that stood out from the rest. Her hand lifted and seized the flyer. She scanned it through and after she had finished reading, she unconsciously bit her bottom lip. This job was exactly what she wanted to do but it was also too dangerous. If she rushed into it, she would be sure to die. She had to choose another job but her will refused that. She wanted to go on this job. She wanted to visit the haunted village. The only way to do that would be to go with someone who is much stronger than herself.

At the cue, her purple eyes landed upon a hooded man whom she had disliked and had never before been this excited to see. Her eyes twinkled as she made her way towards him, standing facing his back. She hesitantly lifted her finger and nudged the man. Before she could see his face, she held up the flyer, and being the foolish girl she is, spoke, "I want you to go on this job with me." She sheepishly grinned, hoping that he would accept it. After a short pause, she spoke up again; "Please" She had to be nice. He was the great Lord Frederick after all. At the thought, she had urge to roll her eyes but resisted.

'Hmm maybe I'll go pester Blondie..'

While walking through the hallway at the residential area, Frederick came upon a small group picture on the wall. Containing some of the younger girl of the guild, it was then that Frederick came on the actual idea to bother a fellow guild member.
Why he would do that, was simply because he was utterly bored. Being stuck for days now at the guild, just because he thought it was a smart idea to take a small break from doing jobs. He did however came quickly to the conclusion that it a 'break' wasn't his thing. Sitting here in his room, strolling through the guild and observing those who engaged in idle chitchat. It made him bored, and being bored eventually made him irksome.

So now with a new goal set for today, Frederick strolled over to the main hall. Only to be greeted by the loud noise of a large group of people talking and laughing with each other. As well as some small animal thing that ran passed him chasing some other annoying little critter. However, the very person he was thinking of bullying a bit wasn't there.

It was then that he felt a small nudge in his lower back. As someone trying to grab his attention, so instinctively Frederick turned around. Asking himself who would be so foolish enough to bother him.
    'You better have a...'

Being cut off in his own sentence, Frederick came eye to eye with a job request. That was boldly being held in front of his face.

'Wait.. what?' he said while looking past the sheet of paper. Having a rather surprised tone in his voice. 'You want me to go on a job... together with you?'
For a moment Frederick couldn't believe what he was hearing, were his ears and eyes playing tricks on him. Was there seriously someone asking him to go on a job with them, him? The very person most mages around the guild tried to avoid, mostly because of his own accord of being angry all the time.

His eyes quickly shifted back to the piece of paper, allowing him to scan the contents for a moment. Which by the looks of it was rather intriguing, an abandoned school building, strange voices, missing children. The perfect kind of entertainment to break on self free from this mundane slumber.

    'You know what.. sure.'

An expression of shock and astonishment painted Riley's face as she tried to believe her ears. She certainly was not expecting the man who's anger almost all the time to agree to go on a job with her. She did not even bother to hide her shock. A grin broke out on her face as she looked at him. For the first time, she did not feel like hating on him or harming him in any way. "Wait, seriously? You're agreeing to go with me?" Her grin widened if that were possible.

She was happy that she would go on this job and that there was a chance that she would return alive. She was still not completely sure to his acceptance but decided not to question in case he changes his mind. The great Lord Frederick is known for his callous behavior and him not saying anything impolite to her gave her hope that he may not be the one to kill her in case she gets too annoying.

"Well then, Let's get going." She looked behind the tall figure standing before her to take a look at her blithe pet who was playing ever so happily. Deciding to let him sit this one out she turned back towards Frederick and nodded before turning and walking, "So the haunted village it is." She read the job flyer as they walked. The job seemed to light a spark of excitement into her. She couldn't help but wonder the whereabouts of this haunted village. She has sure enough heard of the place but she has never been there, "Hey Fred-" She stopped mid-way of her sentence. The man still sort of scared her, "Mister Frederick," And she sure as hell knew that he would not appreciate someone calling her by his name when they don't even know him, "Do you know where the haunted village is located?"

The mayor seemed troubled by the activities in the school. The black-haired female slipped on a beanie and continued walking in silence, thinking to herself. After a short train ride and the young slayer trying not to barf, they finally made it to the oh-so-scary haunted village.

A small grunt escaped Fredericks lips, the moment Riley carelessly tried to speak out his name as if he was some mere commoner you can shout to. However if she had noticed his gun or not, she already corrected herself. And instead addressed him properly, which to Frederick was basically stroking his own ego. In return to this, Frederick didn't felt the need to shut the girl down for her question.

'At the other side of the Phoenix Mountains, which thanks to the railway system we don't have to cross to get there...'

The rest of their journey went on in utter silence, as Frederick barely tried to engage in any conversation. And when he did, it was only to give a short and crude answer to any question Riley might have. However it was more then clear that Frederick wasn't very fond of this kind of transportation as he clearly grunted at the large groups of other people, who traversed the kingdom this way.

Before long the train stopped at its final location, which was a small an empty station. That immediately gave the impression of abandonment. And as Frederick suspected he and Riley were the only one who stepped out of the train and onto the platform outside.

Without even asking if Riley felt okay, as she seemed she was ready to throw the entire ride. Frederick treaded forwards into the town. Which revealed to be looking as normal as any other town one could encounter. It had carefully paved streets, and building at either side of it. There were stores, homes and Frederick could even distinguish a bell tower above all the other buildings. Everything a town was supposed to have, except one thing.
For the last ten minutes or so walking through the streets of the Haunted Village, Frederick had yet to see a single soul besides himself and his partner.

Eventually the small streets brought him and her, to a building that was significantly larger the rest. It even had its own courtyard. And as Frederick stood before the entrance gate, he gazed down on a couple of rundown letters. Overgrown with vegetation, and barely holding on to the gate itself. But even thought it was barely visible, it didn't take a genius to make out what the remainders of the letters spelled. Oshjima High school.

The female would have noticed that she and her partner were the only ones exited on the stop if she weren't too busy trying to keep her food in. After a few minutes of deep breathing, she ran to Frederick who seemed to be walking ahead. "He could've at least asked if I was fine, but no, he just has to be a stuck up man, doesn't he?" She glared at him as she walked behind him. But then again, the oversight was hers to have assumed that he would be nice to her.

The black-haired female silently snickered before taking a look around the vacant village. Her gazed upon the buildings and the structure and wondered why this village was haunted. She mentally smacked herself for being so dense, it was because of the lack of life in this place.

Her trail of thoughts was interrupted when her nose smacked into something hard. She quickly jumped back and realize that she had bumped into the angry man. She grinned sheepishly and let out a nervous laugh, "Hehe....sorry." Her eyes trailed to the board that stood before the giant building. The wordings were somewhat covered with vegetation but the text was clearly visible. "This is it." Riley stated the most obvious thing in the world.

She moved beside Frederick and lifted her finger. With a light nudge to the gate, the closed door slightly moved, creaking as it did. The female winced at the sound but nonetheless, held up her hand and forcefully pushed the giant door open, creating quite a bit of a commotion in the abandoned area.

Without glancing at her partner, she moved forward towards the building, slightly glancing back to see if her fellow guild mate was coming. With him, she was sure that no ghosts would want to come near them, he's too scary for them. She stifled a laugh at her lame commentary but continued forward nevertheless. The space between the building and the gate was fairly large. The pathway was set out in the middle and the parallel sides were covered with wilted grass. The female walked to the doors of the school building and traced the lock with her hands, "It's locked"

Capture the Dark Principal! [Job l Lord Frederick & Riley] Empty Re: Capture the Dark Principal! [Job l Lord Frederick & Riley]

Post by Godlike Frederik 26th June 2015, 3:50 am

Unknown and unseen, Frederick rolled his eyes at Riley's obvious observation. Off course this place was it. This was after the only school building in the entire town, if not region.
Sometimes it really bothered Frederick, that people needed to state to thing that was right in front of them. It was as if one couldn't believe what they saw if not saying out loud.

He watched as Riley carefully tried out the gate, slight nudging it with her finger. Which in response gave her a squeaking answer as the gate slowly wiggled in its hinges. Then with new found determination it seems, she pushed the entire gate open. Increasing the slight squeaking from before to a screeching sound that would send shivers down anybodies back.

Now with the gate fully swung open, Riley stepped forwards onto the courtyard. Which had the perfect ambiance for a haunted building. From the rundown benches were students got sit on, to the few trees that were left. Even the ground fit the vibe of abandonment perfectly, as weeds and other vegetation grew from between the tiles.
Yet even though it was abandoned and empty, Frederick couldn't shake the feeling something was watching them while he followed Riley. Looking at them from the dark shadowy corners, or from behind the smudged windows. Frederick was even convinced he saw a vague silhouette, or movement the moment his eyes glanced towards one of those windows.

When they reached the entrance of the building, Riley traced the door with her hand, until she reached the lock. Which surprisingly enough was locked, for some reason Frederick assumed the doors of the school would flew open as they ominously would stare into the darkness behind it.

    'No it isn't'

Already agitated by the idea of searching the entire complex for a way in, Frederick engulfed his right fist with a black mass. Just before he would drive a blow with it into the door. That off course came broke apart as it flew and crashed into a wall somewhere inside. Leaving nothing more then a gaping hole with a shrouded room behind it.

Reckless. That was the first word that popped into the females head when the her hot-headed partner decided to break through the door. Then again, who was she to judge? She would probably have done the same thing. She bend down and peeked through the giant hole where the door knob once was, "That's one way to enter." She stood back up and muttered to herself. "It's not like there are demon possessed people, especially hormonal and annoying teenagers in there, waiting to eat our brains."   The female then walked inside slowly and cautiously, "Well, this place is freakier that I had imagined." She was again talking to herself, completely forgetting that she wasn't alone.

Her eyes wandered through the giant hall which was barely lit by the moonlight that tried to peer through the covered windows. She slowly turned around to take a better look at the place. She spotted a old reception area and the lobby seemed to be very dusty. The silence was alluring to a point where Riley could hear her own breaths which in all honesty, was scary. Not a soul in sight, yet the eerie feeling of being watched swept through the females body. She involuntarily shuddered when a gush of cold air swept through the area. The wind seemed suspiciously strong inside the building that it was outside. The sudden creaking sound caught the slayers attention.

She flipped around to see the door slowly closing and taking away whatever little light the moon provided through the entrance. Luckily, the hole provided enough to get a rough idea of things. The silence swept through the place and that's when the female realized that she had kept a pocket sized torchlight with her earlier that morning. She ruffled her her jeans pocket and took it out. She pressed the small button on the object and it radiated enough light for them to clearly see the object in shone upon. "We should take a look around." She hesitantly said. If she had to be honest, she was scared. This place gave her an uneasy feeling but as a mage, she had to move forward.

If ti wasn't for the macabre and eerie silence, the hall they'd entered was as typically cliche as you could expect from a school. There was your standard reception area, only gathered with more dust then Frederick ever thought humanly possible. And along the sides there were to famed lockers, a small space that functioned as the private space of a student. Only they were similar to the reception. Their doors gather so much dust, that one could vividly write their own names on it. Just by tracing your finger through the grime. Some of them had loose doors, just barely hanging onto their rusted hinges.

Then with a gust of wind, the door behind them slowly shut, but because of the silence around the school. It felt as if a gunshot was being fired. An ominous sign, in an even more ominous place. And Frederick couldn't help to let a single thought render through his mind 'off course...'

Luckily for the strange duo, Riley had a small magical torchlight. That by the press of a button emitted enough light to vividly distinguish the objects closest to them. It did however played with the shadows the moment she started to walk further into the school.

Silently Frederick would follow her, constantly trying to keep an eye on their surroundings. Every dark corner, every oddity inside the dancing shadows could hide an enemy, a potential danger that could hinder their job.

Then, after walking barely a hundred meter, Fredericks gut feeling of being watched got confirmed. As
strange and abrupt sounds were to be heard. Noises Frederick could only depict as someone scratching at the walls around him.
Quickly he glanced over there, his hand formed into a fist engulfed with the very dark mass he used so often. Only to see nothing, but a flurry movement hiding away. The scuffling of footsteps that ran, along with the childish laughter of kids.

Frederick hated this kind of moments, normally he was the one that determined the playing field. So dealing with enemies, that managed to elude him. Annoyed him. It meant that he wasn't in control of the playing field.

The silence that lingered in the atmosphere was nerve-wrecking. It was as if someone wound emerge from the darkness and swallow the mages whole. The place itself, radiated a feeling of fear and intimidation. Riley could feel her heart racing at an unhealthy rate as she hesitantly moved forward. The constant feeling of being watched agitated the female. A tiny whimper caused by fear escaped her mouth as precipitate sounds filled the air, sounding a lot like scratching. The female clutched the torchlight in her hand and slowly moved it towards the direction where she believed the sound came from. As she was doing that, the sounds of running footsteps and childish laughter echoed through the eerie building. The female took in deep breaths. She knew she was frightened, but that doesn't mean that her enemies have to know that too.

Riley's purple gaze landed on two figures who slowly approached the Sabertooth mages. In the dark, it was difficult to make out who or what those two figures were. She lifted her hand and the light that emitted from the torchlight disembarked on the mysterious figures, revealing two teenage boys, a little younger than the female mage herself. These two looked like trouble and as soon as they divulged the small pocket knife each carried, the suspicion became a fact. The two mages were facing two opponents, giving the female surety of their victory.

Frederick might be a discourteous individual but two things that the female trusted was his ego and power. She knew he couldn't handle losing and with his immense power, that would not happen. The female was proved wrong as she thought that these two were the only adversary they would be facing. Another figured walked towards them. This was looked older and his face was expressionless. A small smirk made it's way onto his lips which truly freaked the female out, "Children, let us welcome our guests."

The female lightly gulped as the two teenagers launched themselves towards her. The older man seemed to go after her partner, probably sensing that he was the stronger one from the two. Riley jumped back to avoid getting slashed by the small blade that seemed to be held by the boys. The female moved back, as they approached and created a distance between herself, the two kids and her partner. When she figured that the two was far enough from herself and her partner, she used her spell, "Encasing Ice-Prison." Around the two boys, five ice pillars rose and surrounding them, circling around them and coming together to seal them off until they can't handle the cold temperature anymore.

The light faded slowly away, as Riley backed up from Frederick taking with her the two students. While Frederick was being left alone with the remaining and more significantly figure. Who by the looks of it was of a more authoritative nature then the other two.

Judging by the mans appearance, Frederick quickly concluded that this has to be one of the teachers. Clad in a suit with a small rectangle shaped glasses sitting on his nose. His hair, was combed backwards and hold together with a thick layer of gel, or wax. Giving the general impression that this man was some mundane teacher. But more that of a sleaze bag. One that preferred to manipulate the young minds of students, mold it into his own perfection. Only to flunk them regardless in the end. Just for the fun of it.

His kaki shoes made out of perfectly bound leather, clacked against the school floor as he slowly approached Frederick. 'My my, aren't you a peculi-'

As expected the teacher decided to look down on his opponent, which resulted in his immediate end. As Frederick rudely decided to interrupt the man's conceited little speech, even before he could utter a single sentence.
With full force Frederick had launched himself from his own spot, and almost instantly placed himself in front of his enemy. Which he pushed crashing down into the floor, by using the created force of his speed and grabbing the man right in the face. Clenching it so hard, that Frederick shattered the small glasses, as the teacher came head down into the floor.

Once crashed into the floor, and with no way to escape. The teacher was now at point blank range for Frederick, who still had a firm grasp around the mans face. And without any hesitation, he created a large black mass that normally would form into an orb or beam. But now since it was immediately launched into his opponents face. Came to an direct explosion before it could fully take form.

Dust flew up, and Frederick could feel his cloak pulling at him, as it slightly fluttered from the sheer force of the explosion. And as it al settled to a standstill again, Frederick could see his opponent. Laying beneath him, in utter defeat and shambles.

That moment of serenity and silence was short lived though, as Frederick suddenly realized the rustling sound of feet coming from his left. And as he glanced towards it he saw that he was standing in front of an open door, leading to a classroom. With within it, three more students who threw themselves upon Frederick.

    ICEEMPRESS

A visible gulp rested down Riley's throat as she looked at her partner's way of defeating an opponent, "Well, that was scary." She thought to herslef as she gazed upon the tall hooded figure in utter silence. The young slayer mentally shut herself up for judging. She had expected this from Frederick, hence why she brought him along. His cold demeanor and immense power could help them in this mission so to survive, she would simply have to accept his ruthless tactics.

Before she thought any further, two students emerged from the open doors of the classroom that lay to their right and instantly launched themselves at Fred, since Riley stood at the back. From the looks of it, it seemed as though the two had not seen the black ahired female as they tried to tackle the large figure.

The female decided to take advantage of that fact and get rid of these annoying brats, "Ice Dragon Wing Attack" Sharp, pointy ice shards formed in the air as the female lifted her hands horizontally, parallel to the floor. Once the ice shards were in the air, she clasped her hands together, sending them flying with great speed and force towards the two teens. It was then that the two possessed youngsters looked in her direction' a mistake on their part.

The female had planned to stab them in the shoulder and knock them out after that but sadly, the shard pierced through ones chest and stabbed the other in torso. The rest of the shards flew through them and attached themselves to whatever they met, it being the floor, walls or the furniture. Moments later, all ice shards shattered to pieces, including the ones dipped in blood.

Riley's heart was beating even faster than it did before as regret filled her heart. She did what she thought was right at the spur of the moment but she didn't mean to kill them. The female mentally shook this thought out of her ehad as she gazed at their lifeless bodies. It was either them or the two mages. "We should get going now, before any more of them appear."
