Along side the room was a curving staircase, carved out of mahogany wood, that lead to an overhanging balcony. Which in comparison to the room was small, yet gave access to the large book cases all imbedded into the wall. Surely functioning as a personal library.
It was more then clear, that the currents guild masters tastes were a bit more, extravagant. Then the former one, who's office was significantly smaller which usually was cluttered with scrolls, scribbles and ancient books and was only illuminated by the soft light of candles along side the wall.
Harrigan himself, was seated directly in front of the large window. Sitting in a large chair that faced directly to the door. With in front of it, a large wooden desk. The chair itself had a backrest that even towered above Harrigan. While the desk had nothing else in particular, except the carvings of some strange creature. There wasn't even a single book or scroll laying on it. Which someone would mostly expect when walking into a guild masters office.
The reason for that was off course the power Harrigan possessed, besides having a vast arsenal of offensive magic. He also possessed a magic that was quite rare and had more utility purposes then it could do harm. A magic that let him to have four wide screens, floating just several inches above his desk. Screens that were transparent that they would reveal what he was reading from the other side. Only then in opposite off course. This was called Archive, a magic that could be the best described as some sort of advanced database. And with its layout it almost had something futuristic, so much even that if Harrigan would want to separate an image or a text from what he was reading, he just had to think about it and use his hand to slide over it and direct it somewhere else. Which would automatically result in a new screen with that very content on it.
