there used to be a likeness, used to be a spark. but communication let it go to far. come closer, deep down, you might like what i've found. i am not what i've done, what i've become. can't fight these bad intentions. i thought i was the victim, i played it well. sifted through the wreckage, couldn't find myself. i tried to be salvation, tried to make it change. oh, i've gone to far, please look the other way.
The cushioned seat was a luxury, jittering through shakes of machine like movement as a pair of flaring gold beheld that familiar whirling scenery. Trees. Mountains. Water. Roots of life stemmed from the natural, alluring, yet dull to the point one could flourish into an eternal slumber. Only to erupt into reality by the unseemly trail of drool and sudden shaking of stumbling into destination. It was an evident case that coiled around the many unfamiliars situated onto the bounding train, and, in this case, he was not one of them. The mound of blue stood out amoungst everything dully toned, oblivious to the compelling glances that barely beheld a glimpse of what he geniunely looked like.

"U-Um, Enola?" a voice resonated from within his throat, hesitant along his hardly statue like tongue as he peered at the woman before him. Like any other fleeting day, she was clothed in that formal maid uniform, expressing some sort of abnormality, yet, nobility in the way she percieved herself to be. Because of this, the two were evidently opposites in both wear, and persona. A male who urged to be left invisible, but, regardless, dressed in flashy wear. And a woman, who was never seen out of some odd maid get-up persistently remarked she were the real deal. It was utmost bewildering to him that he had some how been guided into this direction to meet the most bizarre people yet.

"About.. the job.." a timid pause, "A-Are you sure that I'm r-really needed? ..I mean last time, I just caused trouble for.. y-you and Hakumi." the crown of blue tilted down, source of sighting observing the clenched hands on his lap, "Wherever I go.. somebody always gets hurt.. I-I would understanding if you're fine doing this on your own.." as usual, the youth was emitting a display of uncertainty, vieling his abashed expression with the locks of hair that so oddly he comprehended as sensitive. Colorless lips pursed together, fluctating like the serene waves of a silent ocean as he seemed almost afraid for answer, one that would be purely blunt with the exposure of negativity. And in confrontation, that was truly what the fearful youth did not urge to hear - but, it wasn't like he could influence the replies of another.

A blink. The train stopped? that was the only additionally piece that elbowed his attention into an entirely diverse place, fluttering lashes of raven observing the people who casually liberated off of the train. Should he go? Should he stay? He steered toward the one who was labeled as "team-mate", almost questioning her through silence as if she could comprehend what he was mentally spanning to grasp onto, each passing second on the ticking clock of time assembling the agitation that strained to his very being. If another at accompanied, his figure would pursue behind them in merely visualization of the way they handled things. But, this time, it was just him. Desolated with the woman known as maid, a responsibility he couldn't afford to advance onto her without being overwhelmed by a horrible and consuming guilt.

Enola hummed blissfully with the train’s cycle of engines. She had grown sympathetic to the noise that annoyed most people. The trains were the bloodstream of the nation, carrying people to their destinations to meet loved ones and fulfil their duties. It would be an injury toward humility to hate what the trains brought. Others, however, seemed annoyed; they despised the crowdedness and the smell as well as the occasional lateness brought on by human imperfection. As the maid turned her head, she found her companion in some discomfort too. Sinon had always seemed to be in distress from the first day they met. She could still recall, with precision, how the boy looked when he curled up in that bench with his little suitcase right next to him. Not much had changed since then. He was still so fragile, at least in Enola’s eyes. It only made her want to mother him even more.

The gentle woman turned her soft gaze and smiled at him. “Sinon.” She forgo referring to him by his surname, as she almost always did. She didn’t know why; it just seemed odd to call a close member of the “family” by his last name. “You did just fine on that last job. Don’t worry about anything that happened.” She looked down to his lap and frowned for just a moment as she caught those clenched hands in her sight. Her smile rebounded and she placed a gloved hand on his shoulder. “Besides, I need you for this. I can’t do it alone.” Her hand retracted, if only so she wouldn’t agitate his anxiety with more physical touch than was necessary. It was difficult to get the young man to open up to her. He always seemed to be an enemy of the world and the world usually agreed by spooking him.

The train slowed down and gradually came to a stop as it reached its destination. Trails of steam bellow out above and hovered over the train station. Like worker bees, the train’s inhabitants scurried off the train, Enola too. As she was leaving, however, she looked back to see her dear friend in his seat, anxiously flustered. Dodging the swarm of men and woman attempting to get through the train’s narrow hallway, she did something quite unordinary for her: she slipped the glove off her left hand, tucked it into one of her pockets, and held out her soft, naked hand for him. “Coming?” Her smile looked down on him with compassion and her tone was infused with an infinite patience. Those pair of hazel eyes gleamed at him, though the beams of light going through the train windows caused her glasses to glare.

Perplexed, the timid youth commenced a gaze that disembarked onto an outstretched hand, bare of the ivory glove that was regularly there, but, suddenly gone like a subtle legend. Breathless was the word to define how he felt, hesitant to span toward the hand that had just reassured the troubles nearly a few minutes ago, geniunely true in all the right ways. For a brief moment, it was as if a divine light had coiled around the maid, a tender smile alifting onto her lips as the fleeting gleam of wonder bounded along seperate golden optics. A hand of shuddering hesitation gradually clamped onto her own as he urged himself upward, flooding into the current of civilization, boisterous chatter, and alien-like noises as the woman was seemingly leading the way through strangers of normality.

It was almost remarkable the two had the endurance to not rest after taking five lengthy train rides to the grand town of Clover, converse with their distressed clients, spend the night at some worn down tavern - and then head all the way back to the place he called home early the next morning. Wait, scratch that, it was remarkable she had the endurance, he on the other hand wouldn't mind swooning into sudden slumber back at the mansion of peculiarity. But, there was no counter for rejection as of now, no such words could be huddled to liberate from his mouth no matter how much he comprehended the possible idea. Enola said she needed me.. I can't let her down now! panicking was an evident opition, and something he could not dismiss, regardless of the fear the drowned him away.

"S-So, we just have to find an Urchin..." a barely audible voice perceived, content they were pursuing through the streets now, rather than wedged away in that crowded and suffocating train. As usual, shops were blooming with business, outside stands transferring goods for the trade of jewels. Not one person was the same, not physically, not mentally. He was enthralled by the way so many vass kinds of indiviuals could be gifted the selection of life. Despite his immense fear to even consider impending firstly into the natural chatter that so many took place in, it was always fulfilling to observe those from afar. The unknown flocking of blue lived a rather solitary life to begin with anyway.
