'Monster Dice' :

He said good-bye to all of the villagers and set out for the guild hall with Earnest.  He learned on the way back that he hadn't quite defeated all of the demons, atleast not the corn ones.  Five corn demons jumped out at him on the way back  to th guild hall, and he pulled his weapon out.  He sliced up two of them and earnest corn streamed one.  The other two looked at each other and grew to  twice Shulk's size.  He did his usual thing and jumped on ones back and let the other one punch his ride.  When the one he was riding fell, he jumped off and stabbed it.  He proceeded to slice off the other corn demons feet and it fell down.  He then stabbed it and sliced it until it disintegrated.  After that little run in he kept walking along side Earnest, and hoped that the rest of the way was just a peaceful walk to the beautiful port town.  Knowing his luck something bad would happen at the town or on the way, but he was just happy that he was mostly done, and hey, he also got a new pet, so life is good.

By the time Shulk got back to Hargeon it was around dinner, and he was starved.  He walked back to the guild hall after stopping to pick up some machine parts again, being he used his other ones to have Earnest be his pet. When he walked in to the under re-contrustion slightly open-air guild hall he saw that some people were eating dinner.  He walked up to the bar and asked what they were serving for dinner.  "Corn on the cob.  Want some, it's nice and hot." the bar tender told him.  "N-no thank you...I'm not really in the mood for corn...thanks though..." and he walked back to his room with Earnest.  At least he was finally done with the job, even though he had to skip dinner for tonight.  He wondered if people would let him keep Earnest.  He shrugged, that was something for another day, tonight he wanted to sleep.  Sounded like a good enough for a reward for everything he had done.  Slaying about fourty-five corn demons, ten tomato demons, and ten broccoli demons.  Oh and find out a helper of the magic counsel was a dark wizard.  Life was good, as long as he never has to eat corn again.
