Move back to Summoning Energy Empty Move back to Summoning Energy

Lets get something straight, Summoning Energy was poorly defined and easily abused simply because there were no defined rules for it. At the same time, that's what made it good, but was also why it was removed. Let's get another thing straight. When I say it was poorly defined I meant it was not defined at all. So let's move back to that and actually define it this time, so people can't abuse it.

It will work exactly as Summoning works right now, except on a percentage scale simply because it makes it more customizable and usable. The actual percentages should be discussed with mods and admins and should work like they used to, but let's also say right now that it does exactly what the current rules for Summoning state the current summoning system does. You can have a summon out, and it will OCCUPY a percentage of your Summoning Energy. It does not regenerate until the summon is GONE, as in its duration is expired and the summon must return from whence it came. If necessary, for balancing purposes, say it does not regenerate the exact post that the summon disappears (only if someone starts abusing it again should someone have to implement this nerf).

Now why do I want percentages? Everything else uses percentages anyways, percentage MP, HP in PVP cases, and in percent buffs. It's a familiar mathmatic that everyone already uses that will need no real explanation except in the amount that is taken up per summon. Of course the amount of SE available and SE taken will change per character rank and summon rank but that's to be discussed elsewhere.

Not only are percentages familiar, but they're easier to use math-wise and allow for some interesting deviations from the norm. While still being forced to respect and follow the SE rules. For instance. The durations for C-Rank spell, on average (last I checked), were about 4 posts. During those 4 posts, a single summon would take up about 25% of a person's SE while costing the usual amount of MP. A person could make the passive of a summon "Uses up the normal cost of SE per post instead of occupying it for the entirety of the duration. It lasts as long as the user has SE left." so that the duration of that C-Rank summon would increase with rank as the user's max SE also increased.

Please take this into consideration, as the current system is currently actually somewhat restricting and lowers the amount of customization a user can implement into their summons.
