It was a gloomy day. There were many dark clouds scattered across the sky, it was raining lightly, and the sun could not be seen. Days like this made Kocho want to stay at home the entire day. Days like that made her feel more comfortable. Days like that helped her sleep, but she would not be able to sleep that day, for she promised her good friend Kitteh that she would go meet him for a day of fun. She couldn't help but wonder why he chose that day of all days.
Kocho could barely drag herself out of bed, even though she got plenty of rest the night before. When she got up, she showered and brushed her teeth. She then looked in her closet to see what she would wear. Since she had recently washed her clothes, she had a lot to choose from, but it didn't take her long to decide what she would wear. She wore orange rain boots, yellow thigh high socks, an orange and yellow striped dress, and a clear rain coat. She predicted that the rain coat would not be enough to shield her from the rain, so she also brought a yellow umbrella.
When she left the house, she splashed in the puddles that the rain had left. She had hoped that Kitteh would have playing in the rain included in their day of fun. She skipped and trotted until she had finally arrived at the meeting point that they had agreed to, but it looked as if Kitteh was not there yet. She looked down at the ground, umbrella in hand, and waited for Kitteh to arrive.
