Ren may be a young adult, but really, to everyone who knows him well enough, he's still 12. Lazy, and childish is how he is most commonly known. However, should he be in the company of a handsome boy, Ren will turn a bit more active and actually sort of clingy, but admires from far off when he spots a guy, often blabbing on to whoever will listen about said person. He usually stays inside cities or town areas, often to scout out for guys, unless his mission requires him to.
Ren is definitely one to talk, it always seemed to him he never runs out of things to talk about, which was useful when he wants to stall going somewhere. Ren isn’t a missions kind of guy, he joined his guild for all the rumors of heroic and brave (and also handsome) men that could be found. Ren does missions to earn money to buy himself hats (he loves his hats) and other required stuff, but usually so he can gain a reputation amongst the guild.
He never really cared about what people thought about his sexuality, I mean he hasn’t come out yet, but he plans do it sometime, but he’s incredibly forgetful so he normally just claims he’ll do it and never does. However if someone insults his sexuality, he gets a really bad temper and often challenges the offender to a fight. And mostly loses. He has had his fair share of near death experiences because of this.
Romantically, he is pretty bad. I mean he has the most cheese ball fantasies you can think up and is always freaking out about every detail. He also gets really paranoid when something doesn’t go with what he planned. He believes following instructions directly result in no failure. While this isn’t always the case, he still does it. One again, running him into more near death experiences. He really doesn’t think first, much because of the pressure he always feels around others, so he often blurts out pretty embarrassing or weird stuff, much to his dismay.
Ren has a strange attraction to bracelets and hats, he thinks they make him look taller, he is incredibly conscious about his height or what others think about it. Being called short will also cause the same reaction, challenge to a fight and almost die. He isn’t a super great fighter.
In battle, Ren is panicked. He usually just shoots his magic until he can't anymore or he doesn't hear them. When he is with a guy, he tries his best to impress the guy with actually aiming and using tactics, but otherwise he would be the one to paralyze and let the others finish the job. Alone by himself, a very rare occurrence, Ren begins to yell, which is why he isn’t really welcomed to stealth missions. Ren still tries hard to do missions, even though his missions mostly consist of things you would never get in a fight doing. Of course he ends up getting in fights anyways. He isn’t an incredibly popular partner choice either, but that doesn’t really bother him that much.
Likes:
- Being able to help the innocent, it makes him feel more accomplished.
- Hats, they are just so stylish, whats not to like? Plus he thinks they make him look taller.
- Bracelets, again, really stylish, makes a nice noise when he walks
- Nail polish, having regular nails is pretty boring.
- Jewelry in general, seriously, jewelry is great, its so sparkly...
- Poetry, Its a secretive hobby of Ren's, its his secondary way to make money besides taking jobs as a mage.
Dislikes:
- Enemies, he really dislikes the idea of fighting, but he does pull through... sometimes.
- Blood, Ren could never stand the sight of blood, it really unnerves him.
- Being called short, he really hates when you call him short.
- Having his sexuality made fun of, it makes him furious.
Motivations:
- Compliments, Ren really likes being told he did good, it motivates him to do better so he can get complimented more
- Being in the presence of a really attractive guy, it really gives him a make it or break it kind of thing, he has to really impress them, and give it his best.
- Completing a job, Ren feels like every time he completes a job, his reputation with the guild increases, and that just makes him want to take on more jobs.
Fears:
- Snakes. Definitely, Ren fears snakes over anything else, he screams if he wasn't sure if it was a snake.
- Never becoming taller than 5'4", he has to get taller someday, right?!
- Dying. Ren really would not like to die. ever.
