Outside of battle, Aryn is a surprisingly shy girl who constantly worries about her appearance, which would come as a surprise, considering her choice of battle attire. She is kind of tomboyish in the way she acts around those she is comfortable with, but in public has an overall feminine aura about her. Most would describe her behaviour as "innocent" as she reeks of the typical "little sister". Shown through her childish protests, impulsive behaviour but, serious and dependable when necessary. Aryn has a strong sense of moral justice, a trait obtained from the stories about heroes and monsters she read as a child. Though she is capable of sympathizing with a variety of people due to the variety of characters she has read about. These stories are what gave her the ideals that she wished to live by and uphold throughout her life. Which is also the reason she enjoys literature. Although she tries, Aryn finds it difficult to sit in one spot for long periods of time. Thus resulting in her falling asleep, having to study and train harder by herself to cover the necessary knowledge. Aryn is slightly naïve, as although she doesn't enjoy being the center of attention, becoming a mage has effectively put her in the spotlight. In addition to her dislike of attention, Aryn prefers to be alone with a book as it allows her to be in a place more suited to her liking. She can become very open when meeting someone new. However, depending on their initial reaction, she may close herself off due to her nervous state.
When Aryn allows her power to consume her, the parasite's personality overruns her body. Additionally, she enjoys having fun and dislikes being bored, complaining when Aryn dragged her to some "stupid town." She is eager to take part in recreational acts, such as food fights and playing Strategy Games. She is also very sociable, and enjoys having conversations and making new friends.
Ryan is extremely nurturing, particularly towards her host, Aryn. Despite leaving her to go spend time with some friends upon arriving in Magnolia, Ryan pushes Aryn into talking with other people and encourages her when she feels down about not knowing anyone in the town. Ryan also seems to enjoy making puns, although herpartner doesn't think they are funny. However, Ryan herself has somewhat of little tolerance to other people's puns.

She also frequently attempts to cheer up her partner, Aryn, when she appears distant or worried.
