When the two stopped at the library, Ayato gestured Alyia to walk inside with him. "We can go wherever you want to go after this." Ayato added. He looked around while he was inside the library, and saw that it was much more massive than any other library he had seen before. Every possible genre of books possible to read could be seen in labels hanging from the ceiling upon large signs. The library, itself, looked luxurious with all of its expensive furniture and decorations. Ayato searched the library for his favourite genre of books: manga (assuming Alyia is with him already). He wandered towards the respective aisle in the library, and searched for the best manga he could find: C.
When he found the manga, Ayato began to read through it. This manga was about an ultimate dimension known as the Financial District that controls all of Earth's economic value, combined, though none of the Earth's citizens understand or even know about the Financial District, itself- only a select few. The Financial District is also the godly force that controls the balance of the world, itself, literally making one's future collateral. In this universe, should the Financial District shutdown, the future on Earth will cease to exist, hence why only the greatest victims of economics were hired to serve under this glorious establishment. Those who worked for the Financial District received an extraordinary amount of yen each day. However, with such an incredible amount of credit earned in one's account came a new mindset. Everyone in the Financial District became dangerous, extremely eager to collect more money, and so warfare began. Their assets became their guardians, while their liabilities became the guardian's soul. Everyone literally fought with their assets, and those who lost a fight became bankrupt on Earth, ceasing to exist in the Financial District. Under such circumstances, the rulers of the Financial District gave up, and released a black card known as Control: the almighty power to determine what happens on Earth.
Ayato closed the book shortly after reading a few pages, looking around as the manga really had an impact on his soul. Something in this world was controlling humanity, whether it'd be a god or science. Despite what a person thought, the world operated based on how science functioned or what a god determined. Should these functions or determinations ever come to an end, there would eventually be no future, and this world would cease to exist. Since Ayato had read this book, he held much more fortunate about living in this world, yet much more aware of his surroundings, as well. Fate truly existed, and this book explained it well; despite being fictional. While Ayato had the jewels to pay for the entire series, he did. In fact, he used the library to order the entire series- every issue and volume from a nearby book store. Ayato wanted to know how the mind's of others worked, and how a single action would affect life, itself. This is why the purchase of this series seemed worthwhile to him.
"Oh...I forgot about her..." Ayato thought aloud after being stuck in his own world for what seemed like hours in his mind, but only a minute, realistically. He walked back towards Alyia with a warm smile on his face, wondering what she wanted to do in the library. He was done with his routine, after all, so nothing was stopping him from dividing his attention towards Alyia and her desires.
