Mythal Ragnos wrote:Guild: Rune Knights
Position Wanted: Wizard Saint
Title: Saint of Might
Rank: X (Will B Y once 100Y is graded)
Activity: On every day, post every day, if not every other day. I’m pretty consistent.
Why Should Your Character Should Be....: Mythal Ragnos' journey has been a treacherous one, a journey that could have resulted in him failing and becoming a villain rather than a hero. His hatred for humanity, his lonely nature and his resistance to friendliness were all bred into him; genetically handed down from his angelic father. He was meant to be a vessel for a god and nothing else and when he was a teenager, his possessed form allegedly murdered his father. But in spite of all of this, he has never stopped moving forward nor has he fallen to the darkness that he controls. He’s risen above situations that would have felled greater wizards than he by sheer determination and willpower. He’s also become far more open to working with others, expanding his nature to incorporate friends and comrades. And he has pushed back against the forces of evil that had threatened people, villages, countries -- even the world. He is unwavering in his allegiance to protect the innocent and stop those that cause harm; a trait that brought him to becoming a General in the Rune Knights and aiding the Knights when they were put under siege. With this newfound position and lot in life, Mythal has never before felt like he must help those in need.
He’s also proven to the Magic Council that he’s more than capable as a wizard, having been nominated as a Rising Star. (Rising Star)

Together they fight bout after bout, proving victorious until the championship round. In the last round, Mythal sacrifices his body to injure Argus, the champion, so that Serilda would have an opening and a chance to defeat him.

They seem to reach a place of understanding, with Mythal finally coming to terms with his feelings and understanding that he would do anything for Serilda. In the end, he is saved by Archimedes and dragged into Kingdom Darkness to be sacrificed for Faera.
- Light in the Darkness; Part 3 (100 Year Job): Mythal awakens in Kingdom Darkness, discovering that Archimedes had tricked him into coming there. When Gren’s life is threatened by the toxicity of the world, Mythal breaks free and sacrifices a portion of his god slaying power to save the Star Wolf. With no other choice but to fight, the duo fight their way through Kingdom Darkness in an attempt to weaken the realm’s forces and attempt an escape. Near the door, they find themselves trapped, only for Serilda to appear. It’s during the fight that Mythal finally connects to the Kingdom Darkness magic within him and releases it, helping Serilda to defeat Archimedes so that they can escape back to their world.
- Never Too Late To Learn (Second Magic Training Thread): Mythal returns to the Midian monastery that he originally trained at, discovering that Vriko had assaulted it recently in her search for him. - Thy Enemy Has a Face (D Rank Job): Mythal is told that the plague is sapping energy from the land and there is a focal point deep in the jungles. Mythal journeys there to find a cloaked, dark wizard guarding a pillar. The dark wizard attempts to stop him but Mythal stops him instead, finding evidence that the man was part of a larger death cult. It seemed that they had been testing methods to wipe out existence for some unknown but certainly dark reason.
- Rise from the Ashes; City of Era (Guild Scale Ongoing): Mythal and Serilda journey to Era to turn in some criminals they had apprehended. While there, the City of Era is attacked by a dark guild, along with several compounds run by the Rune Knights. - Welcome to Panderia (B Rank Job): Mythal and Serilda are stranded on an island after a strange fog causes their ship to run aground. After helping several of the other passengers to get to land, they meet Raiji Kameyama, another wizard, and a group of Panda-people that offer them aid. The trio of wizards are discussing investigating the island when a group of rockmen appeared, looking to extort the pandas for ‘protection’. The three wizards fight them off, capturing one of the enemies so they can learn more about the state of the island’s people.
- Too Many Surprises (100Y Job): Mythal and Serilda are asked to come help with the repairs to a town in Vintermyr by an anonymous source and make the trek up to the frozen land. Upon arriving, they discover the entire town is made up of dark wizards who have assembled to kill them. Mythal and Serilda split up to fight the forces, with Mythal going off to evacuate the younglings in the town. Lux makes his presence known finally, revealing himself as the Seal of Light and a part of Mythal’s soul. Mythal races back to Serilda to find she has been overtaken by her own Seal, Victoria. The Seal of Conquest chides him into battle, with Mythal intent on freeing Serilda and keeping Victoria from killing anyone else.
- Go Beyond! PLUS! ULTRA! (100Y Job): Mythal and Serilda are teamed with Akeya and Luceam to journey to another planet, in hopes of checking to see how viable it is as a colony planet. Upon arriving on the planet, Luceam begins to have a meltdown while Mythal and Akeya investigate the planet’s odd environment. Each of them discover that there are vicious creatures living beneath the surface, with Mythal realizing that the planet, itself, is made up a dark substance. As Luceam continues to encounter issues, Mythal states that if she cannot find a way to control herself, he will send her home via portal, for her own safety as well as the crew of the exploratory team.

Rank: X (Probably about to be Y once the thread I have up for grading is graded)
Activity: Daily
Why Should Your Character Should Be....: In this essay, I shall provide to you the reasons why I feel that Serilda has earned more than enough of a reputation for herself in regard to strength, morality, and popularity to be deemed a wizard saint. In everything, her actions clearly show how hard she works to protect citizens of Fiore (and beyond), to use her power for what’s right, and that many of her actions have been done in such a public enough setting that her name would be widely known within the country.
- Click for a ton of threads:
- One of her very first jobs as a new member of Sabertooth was to save a number of people that had been captured in Desierto to be slaves. These people were going to be killed as a sacrifice to a demon, but she and Mythal Ragnos both worked together to free them -- despite the two wizard’s differences at the time. She did not only put her life on the line for these strangers, she also faced one of her biggest fears when the demon appeared to fight them. She fought past the crippling fear long enough to help kill the demon and ensure it never hurt anyone else. One of the slaves she wound up saving is now a member of Dies Irae (Kessicia).
- That job wound up being the catalyst for Mythal and Serilda becoming partners, as the Magic Council took note of their deeds and how well they’d worked together. Because of this, the MC kept putting them on more jobs and specifically requesting them. The next such job was another involving slaves, but this one was within Fiore itself. A group of women were being boarded up like cargo on a ship to be sold, but together the two of them managed to track down the missing women and liberate them without any of the victims being killed or even hurt.
- Following that, Serilda was assigned a solitary mission based in Minstrel. The MC had received word that a dark wizard had kidnapped the family of a noble in the neighboring country, and the dark wizard in question was actually a Fiore citizen. As a show of good faith, they sent Serilda to handle the matter. The reason for this was two fold. One because the dark wizard was Fiore’s responsibility, and thus a Fiore wizard should rightfully be a part of apprehending the criminal. But secondly since Minstrel nobility was involved, the MC wanted to show their seriousness over the situation by sending a noble of their own to personally handle the matter. Together with three of the country’s Musketeers, Serilda was able to save the man’s family and bring back the dark wizards. Now, she is considered a full fledged Musketeer in the country and is often invited to attend royal banquets and events as an ambassador for Fiore.
- A while after they had been working together, Serilda and Mythal accepted a job acting as security for a murder mystery party that was being held in Fiore. What was supposed to be a relaxing evening of fun, gaming, and socializing, quickly turned into a nightmare as a woman’s husband was actually murdered. Together the two of them had to lock down the hotel and track down the killer before they could get away. During the event, the two of them had a heated argument that very nearly broke off the friendship they had been building, but they managed to work together long enough to catch the killer and get justice for the man’s death without letting their anger getting in the way of the investigation.
- Later, the two of them teamed up to fight a giant lion that had been attacking a small village in Fiore, killing people and ruining their crops. This brought her some reputation from the village and its citizens who were immensely grateful for their help and protection.
- At one point, Sabertooth paired Serilda with another member named Doppo on a task to stop a threat on the royal castle. A criminal had stolen a heavily armored suit and was en route to the castle in Crocus to use the weapon to launch an attack on the royal family. Doppo and Serilda managed to head off the criminal before he could reach the city and destroyed the suit, arresting the man inside and ensuring that the weapon was returned to the proper authorities.
- Around Christmas time, Serilda joined up with Mythal in Magnolia with the intent on meeting a couple of his other friends that he wanted to introduce her to, Markus and Nessa. (Christmas Event). Plans for a relaxing social afternoon were changed when a deranged army of winter themed enemies began pouring out of portals and attacking the city. The four of them banded together and fought the invasion back, even losing their clothes and being forced to fight naked in public in the process. Ultimately, Magnolia was saved and suffered only structural losses to some of the buildings that were damaged during the fight.
- A while later, Serilda was in Era turning in some reports to the MC when the city was attacked by a magical force that was somehow making clones of people and other mages in the city. These clones could use magic, and had the Knights in disarray trying to fight back the threat while also protecting the citizens. Serilda stepped up as a civilian and fought the clones single handedly so the Knights could evacuate the innocent bystanders. This battle included having to fight a cloned copy of herself, complete with control over her own magic and abilities.
- The day after Christmas, Serilda and Mythal were sent by the MC to look into a mass murder that happened in her own home town of Clover. Half a dozen teenagers had been killed by a serial murderer that appeared to be copy cat’ing the legend of a murdering ghost that supposedly haunted the area. She worked with the Knights in leading the investigation, hoping to find answers and justice for the slaughter of youths that she considered her people and her charge. In the process, they discovered that the legend was true, and it was the actual ghost that haunted the area which was still killing people that stayed at the haunted camp as a dare. Together, she and Mythal brought peace to the man by discovering evidence that his son had been killed years ago by one of the camp counselors and, upon offering him his son’s hat that they found buried beneath a cabin, the man disappeared peacefully. The lake has not experienced a murder or haunting since.
- In Ace of Spades, where she lived while she was still a member of Sabertooth, Serilda woke up in the middle of the night when she heard the sounds of an attack. A group of dark wizards had destroyed and looted a number of shops near her home. With a tip from an unwelcome demon that appeared to her and introduced himself as Arthas, she managed to track down the group and apprehend them by herself.
- Another job in Fiore set her working with a new mage name Akeya, where the two of them were asked by the MC to help protect a city that was due to have a rising of extra special werewolves. Despite having never met or worked together before, she and Akeya were a well suited team that worked together extremely well and were able to put down the threat without killing any of the werewolves or letting any of the citizens be murdered. The werewolves were all returned to their human form after the full moon set, and now the entire town is indebted to the two women for protecting them.
- Back in her home town of Clover, Serilda learned about an attack from a new dark guild that had killed many of her people. Furious, she made her way to the Knight’s headquarters in Clover and put herself into the investigation. For this thread, the demon Arthas returned stating that he wanted to help and to observe her because he was considering her for a job he had in mind. Serilda was obviously suspicious of the man and terrified of his presence, but with more pressing matters she let him tag along. She single handedly set up a defensive force at the hall where the guildmasters meet every year to protect it, knowing that the dark guild was planning on trying to tear the place down and steal valuable documents and magic items. Leading the force of Rune Knight, and with Arthas’ help, she managed to successfully capture and detain the entire guild, effectively wiping them off the threat list in order to protect her city and get justice for the loss of those who had been killed by them.
- Since by this point she was very well known by both the MC and the Rune Knights, it was no surprise when the Knights later approached her for assistance in trying to solve a mystery. The former guildhall for Lamia Scale was showing evidence of being haunted, and they needed someone with experience with such things to try and look into it. What she found when she got there was not a haunting but rather Gisen , the former guildmaster of Lamia Scale, tied up and at death’s door. Someone had kidnapped her, tortured her, and then abandoned her. Serilda was able to get her to safety, and together they are working on trying to identify those who had taken the woman.
- The Rune Knights continued to call upon Serilda for help, and eventually she was given the job of overseeing a full army of Knight soldiers in order to deal with a war that was breaking out between two rival bandit gangs. Together with the help of Luna, who at the time was the guild master for Aurora, they arranged themselves in the battle to keep it from bleeding into the towns where innocent people were. (This thread is still being finished, as Luceam has recently left the site and I need to wrap it up on my own. But since it was a pretty large scale job that will gain her a lot of reputation, I felt it was important to include).
- The next item is a three part arc of 100y free form jobs between Serilda and Mythal where the culmination of all their work and their relationship thus far came together for an insane climax. Mythal learned the truth about his heritage shortly after Serilda learned the sad truth about her relationship with her late husband. Mythal met his father, a dark angel that serves the Goddess Faera from whom Mythal had stolen his God slaying powers. After learning that Faera was planning on attacking Earthland and destroyed all life, he chose to leave without telling Serilda in order to try and stop the threat without putting her own life at risk. Not having any of that shit, Serilda attempted to track him down only to come up empty handed. Desperate to find and save him from death or a worse fate, she called upon the demon Arthas and against her better judgement accepted the God Slaying powers he had been trying to give her. With his help, and with the help of another more trustworthy demon named Ruzatz, Serilda was able to force her way into the alternate dimension where Faera had Mythal imprisoned and to save him from being turned into a vessel for her destruction. Serilda fought this battle with such ferocity that she took out an entire army of angels, and even stripped Mythal’s father of his divine power leaving him to crawl back to his mistress as a beaten, broken, and pitiful mortal. Somehow, they managed to escape back into Earthland and sealed the door behind them, ensuring that Faera would not be a threat for at least a while.
- It was sometime after all this that Mythal and Serilda happened to be in Era when a dark guild launched a three prong attack on the MC, the Rune Knights, and the city itself in an attempt to break some of their members out of jail and destroy the MC. Serilda lead a defensive charge with Gisen, Beaux, and a score of Knights to protect the MC. During the fight, the prior Marshal of the Rune Knights was murdered brutally before their very eyes, and the three of them needed to pour every resource together to take down the guild’s master and put the attack to a halt. Her actions here spent directly protecting the council itself, as well as taking out the dark guild’s leader, is what earned her the title and position of the new Marshal for the Rune Knights, of which she is currently the leader. (This thread is still being finished, but is almost done).
- A while after the hecticness of taking over the Rune Knights, Serilda was charged with a job that involved going to a completely different planet and protecting a team of scientists as they studied it. She was joined on this job by Mythal, Akeya, and Luceam. The planet proved to be extremely hostile, and they had their hands full keeping everyone safe not just from the every day beasts that scoured the planet at night for food, but also from a behemoth of a creature of such frightening power that even the group of them together were hard pressed to survive the encounter.
- Given all the insane things that had been happening to them lately, Mythal and Serilda decided a vacation was in order. Unfortunately, even their vacations were always hijacked by unfortunate and dangerous happenstances. The ship they were using to travel to an island getaway got caught in a thick fog and crashed. The two of them and Raiji Kameyama managed to save all the civilians on the ship and get them to the safety of a nearby island where they were given shelter by a local village. While trying to find a way off the island, the village was attacked by a squad of soldiers belonging to a man that considers himself the emperor of the island. They had been extorting the villages for years, stealing food and money from them and forcing them to live in poverty and fear. The three of them took out the squad and are now working together to hunt down the villainous emperor and take him down so the villagers can live freely.
- It was only a matter of time before more of Mythal’s past came back to haunt them. He and Serilda were lured to Vintermyr under the pretense of working a job to help the city after a supposed earthquake had greatly damaged it. Instead, it was a trap set by an agent of Mythal’s sister, who wants him dead. The entire city was filled with hundreds of dark mages that she had gathered for the soul purpose of trying to kill him. While the two of them fought for their lives, their lives changed dramatically. Both of them turned out to be hosting apocalyptic beings of great power that chose this time to show themselves. For Serilda, this involved a woman named Victoria, known as the Seal of Conquest, forcibly taking over Serilda’s body and magic. She used both to decimate the city, slaughtering dark mages just to get a feel for her new powers. This resulted in a stand off between Victoria and Mythal, who was intent on saving Serilda and helping her get control of her body again. Serilda eventually regains control of her body and manages to put Victoria under lock and key for the time being, but not before her powers were used to their maximum extent to practically wipe the city off the map and showcase just how powerful and devastating her magic could truly be if used to maximum capacity.
As of right now, through all these threads (as well as several other smaller ones that did not have as big of an impact) Serilda is fully established as a honorable noble that cares for her people and stops at nothing to protect and serve them, as a hard working mage that is loyal to her country and her guild(s), a competent and formidable leader of the country’s official army, a trusted asset to the MC, well known by many of the country’s citizens for her actions and efforts in their own towns, and even as a reputable ambassador to other countries.
Both Approved for Wizard Saint. Congrats
