Move the Tree

Job Info:

Daiko yawns, sitting up against a tree. The bark scraped against his head as he sat and smoked. Taking a long drag from his pipe, he blows the smoke into rings above his head. Right now, all he had to do was wait for Kakuma to show up. He decided to do this job with a team mate, and was planning on getting it done quickly. Unfolding his job paper, he noted what he actually had to do on this job. He saw that he needed to defeat a goblin and a vulcan, then push a tree out of the way.

"This is too easy..." Daiko sighed, looking up at the sky. He wanted to do more intense missions, where he got to kill people, not just beat up animals. The last time he was tasked with taking out vulcans, he went on a killing spree. It was rather enjoyable. Grinning at his latest adventures, his mind drifts off to the subject of Kakuma. Daiko was excited to meet her, as he was with all people, yet strangely nervous. He usually tried to stay chill, but he didn't know if he could around this person. Maybe he had to show off. Shrugging, he takes another long drag from his pipe...

Kakuma Padded over to the tree her teammate is waiting. she looked him as he puff smoke rings. She wrinkled he nose, she found nothing wrong with what he was doing, but she disliked the smell. She snorts, "Hey You... please stop that..." she growled at him. She was in her wolf form. She looked around the area as the man said something about things being to easy. She looks at him, "Hurry up i want to leave." she starts walking without the man. she felt he was going to be annoying to work with but she would endure. The damn smoke was going to kill her sense of smell, which would cause a few issues for her. She snorts again trying to clear the scent from her nostrils and heads to the train station. She had to go take care of some stupid Goblin and Vulcan or some such pest like that.

Kakuma starts running at her full speed, it would be hard for even the fastest runners to keep up with her in this form. it only takes a few minutes to arrive, after which she jumped on the tracks and followed them, she hoped to get this job over quickly.

Daiko shrugs, looking at the wolf with a... concerned gaze. "Sorry, pup. This is part of my magic." He grins, slightly sticking out his tongue. Cracking his knuckles, he runs to catch up with the wolf, until giving up and flying. This way he didn't have to move his legs. Success. They arrive at the felled tree, and Daiko whistles. It was bigger than it was last time, actually crushing the tracks. The splintered boards were peeling up from where it fell, as well as the metal sinking into the tree like knives. "Well. I guess this is what we move."

Grinning, he gets to work on moving the tree, and surprisingly enough he can't lift it. It looks like his superhuman strength has left him once again. Sighing, he sits on the log, hearing the slight rustle of leaves in the woods on either side. "Oh great.." He was excited to fight these fiends, and was hoping Kakuma would be of some assistance. He didn't want to run the whole show, but if she couldn't keep up... Then that would have to happen. "You take on this one.. I think I hear it..." He waits silently, hoping to ruin any chance of a sneak attack.

'Monster Dice' :

Kakuma did too, it was not hard to as it seemed to be hitting something she pads over to where she hears it best. It was vulcan, she gave a toothy grin, First kill. She rushed up, changing forms as she did, the creature turned only to get a her blade to its face. the vulcan stumbled back, Kakuma took a fighting stance, holding her blade in a sideways, ready to strike as soon as the creature stepped into range. That took all of four seconds, the creature recovered and charged her. Kakuma sidestepped the creature, holding her foot out as she did, The creature trips over it and face plants. Kakuma laughs as the screams, rolling around holding its nose. She almost felt bad for it, to the point she didn't kill it. "Get up you baby." she frowned as it didn't heed her words. It kept rolling on the ground. "Why me..." she sheaths her blade and walks away. "this is ridiculous." as she walks she morphs back into her wolf form and pads off, There was a tree to still move. she gets to the tracks quickly and inspects the damage. she sits down, yawning as she did. she looked around, there was suppose to be two of them but she didn't see the other one.

Daiko watches as Kakuma takes on this vulcan, transforming into a woman. She was flying about the air, looking sort of like a butterfly. Though rather instead of antenna and wings, she had knives and hair. Not that big of a difference. He notices how she waits for the Vulcan to charge in rage, rather than just constantly attack it with brute force. Usually what he did was attack it head on and try to defeat it as fast as possible, but it seemed like this method worked as well. But, without a goblin in site, Daiko steps up to the log, glancing over at Kakuma. "We should probably try to lift this now." He says so with a relaxed voice, though he does make it clear that she doesn't really get an option. Grabbing near the bottom of the tree, he tries to lift it up and fails. The tree is so heavy, that brute strength alone couldn't move it. Maybe there was some other way? "Kakuma, I think we should try using magic to lift this from the ground. I doubt we could lift this with strength alone." He smacks his fist against the wood of the tree, sending a musical sound down to the trunk. It was pretty strange. That means the tree might be hollow.

Kakuma listened as her teammate knocked on the tree, it was hollow she knew the sound. She take a running start and slams into the side of the tree, which causes the part she impacted to spiderweb with cracks. She recovers and starts sniffing the area, there was another creature inside of the tree. She steps back, "Another one is in the tree." she jumps up on the trunk looking for some sort of entrance, she failed to find one she she decided to make one. Jumping down, she changes form and walks over to the cracked area. Widening her stance she draws her blade from is it sheath in a Iaido, cutting the blade across the cracked area, then follows up with a kick. The cracked area gives easily. Kakuma rights herself and re-sheaths her blade and turns to her teammate. "Wanna go first?" she yawns as she finishes. She wanted to take a nap, it was kinda annoying this job but it was necessary. She hears something moving around in the tree she figured it was the goblin they were hunting for, but could not be bothered to go first. Kakuma changes back to her wolf form and finds a nice spot to lay down for aw bit, yawn and setting her head down. "have fun." and closes her eyes.

Daiko looks over at Kakuma as she smashes through the log with brute force and broke it. Maybe she wasn't THAT much of a strategist. She offered him to go first, and he just rolled his eyes. 'Tis the life of a Daiko. He slips through the crack by partially becoming smoke, then crawling once he is in the crack. Yelling out, he informs Kakuma "There doesn't seem to be anything in here. But then again, I can't see." Laying on his back, he kicks up, shattering the wood above him and letting in some sunlight. There wasn't much in here but spider webs and bugs running around.

Sighing, Daiko begins to kick out the top of the with his feet, trying to break it up so moving it could be easier. After smashing the top for the fifth time, he realizes that just kicking it out would take days. Crawling out, he shrugs. "Nothing in there but bugs." Kicking the side of it, the log once again creates a thunk-ing sound. "Do you have any magic that would cut it up? I may have something that will make breaking it easy... But.." Daiko glances over at her, seeing if she has an easier way than.. Making a giant hand.

Kakuma opens a lazy eye, and watches Daiko as he did his thing, closing her eye after a minute or so. she didn't do anything till he asked her a question. In which she Opens her eye again and stares at him.

"Do you have any magic that would cut it up? I may have something that will make breaking it easy... But.." he asks her.

She Yawns again then speak. "I don't us magic..." She gets up, "but ill go get a axe." she stretches for a second then takes off back to the city, It would not take her very long at her speeds, she had to wander about the city for a few minutes looking for one, but found a very sturdy one. She returned as quickly as she could, total trip only took twenty five minutes. she sets the axe down and pads back over to her spot and fwumbs down lazily, she give another Yawn and lays her head down. she watches the area with disinterest, not really caring what her team mate did. She gives another snort at the way the man smelled, it really did bug her. She wondered why he decided to use that kind of magic, a question for another time.

Apparently, Kakuma was off to get an ax. This just left Daiko time to... do whatever. He floated up on top of a tree, and got out his pipe. He leaned back on the tree, supporting himself with the top branch, and smoked. He blew thin trails of smoke into the air, which glided on the wind and was swept away. There were clouds above him, that seemed to him like giant smoke blown out by some being. Maybe they were.. But that was a question for another day, an adventure to be had. Right now he had to focus on moving this log...

Sighing, Daiko kicks his feet in the air. The goblin was nowhere to be found, and it bothered him. Why would the vulcan rush in so quickly, then the goblin not? Maybe this was the same goblin from before, and he knew what was coming to him. All that greeted him last time was a ceramic piece to the face, and a couple well placed kicks. It made sense that it didn't come out. Suddenly, Daiko sensed the signature that he figured was his partner's. Jumping straight down from the tree, he lands on both feet, having floated down like a feather.

Kakuma watched her teammate jump down from the tree, he seemed somewhat concerned with something. Kakuma Closes her eyes and stop caring, but a snapping of a branch or something behind her, perks her ears up. Someone or something was coming from behind her. she let out a huff as she waited for whatever it was, which didn't take long. A goblin walked out into the open.

"Ruka were are ya you oaf!" he calls out, Kakuma Yawns and stands up as his Eyes Fall upon her partner. Kakuma walks up behind him as he stutters. "Y-ypu!" he turns to leave but bumps right into Kakuma. He spins as pales as Kakuma give him a look. "N-nice doggy."

"Did you just all me a Doggy?" Kakuma asks giving a small snort.

The Goblins eyes widen even further. "Uh...I...Crap." he seems to give up. "Ill move the damn tree." Kakuma pushes him in the direction of the axe.

"Start Chopping pipsqueak." Says with a bit of amusement in her voice. Even better than making her partner do it was making the culprit do it. "Don't make me get up again or ill eat you." the goblin shakes his head and runs over to the axe. He starts in on the tree quickly, which causes Kakuma to laugh.

Daiko stares intently on whatever Kakuma is doing, a... thing looking at him. It just so happened it was the goblin. "Oh! Hey! I didn't recognize you when you weren't bleeding" He chuckles to himself shaking his head. "So you're really going to eat him, aren't you, Kakuma?" He grins at her, though not entirely sure if she was serious or joking. He liked how she looked in this form, honestly. The red stripes and patterns were very interesting, along with the white that seemed like it could never get dirty. Falling to the ground by choice, he glances over at Kakuma. "So, you had him do the work for us. That was nice of you." He grins, shooting her a thumbs up. Then, completely by habit, he takes out his pipe and begins to smoke, blowing rings toward the goblin who shuttered each time the small gust of polluted wind hit the back of his neck. He must still had memories from the beat down that went on a little less that a weak ago. Daiko leaned back, just staring up at the sky, while focusing attention on the goblin as well. He couldn't have him swinging at him with that ax...

"Mhm I'm not doing it." she yawned and Laid down again. "Figured some reparations are in order." She Snorted again as the man smoked again. "Must you do that around me?" her annoyance was clear. "That really hurts my nose you know." she puts he paws over her snout in a effort to shield her nose from the smell, but to no avail. Kakuma sighs as she watches the poor little goblin chop away at the tree. Kakuma whispers to him. "Honestly i have never had goblin so i think im going to give it a shot." she huffs again. "you want some?" she again forgets that most humans dont like the food she does. She licks her chops as she watches the goblin chop away, he was about half way done at this point and was beginning to cry. Kakuma yawned again and stood up, she would wait for him to finish before she ate him. But he would not finish, when kakuma stood up he spun and charged at her with the axe held high. he was quite a ways away so she simply smiled and changed form into her Humanoid form, drawing her blade as she did. "Come along little goblin I am quite hungry and i thing you will make a good snack."

Daiko notices that the goblin indeed attacks. It was to be expected, but then he saw Kakuma start to ready herself to fight. "You got the last one.." He sighed, as he kicked the goblin's calf as he ran, tripping him over. The goblin scrambled to it's feet, then swinging at Daiko with the ax in pure rage. "Die, bastard!" Daiko just simply dodged to the side, the rage-fueled attacks didn't have much accuracy. Cautiously spinning on his heel, Daiko kicks the goblin's wrist as he was mid-swing, hearing a cracking sound. The ax was dropped to the floor, and Daiko cracked his knuckles. Taking a hard swing at the creature's face, and actually hitting. Taking the ax that fell on the ground, Daiko swung down at the goblin's neck, slicing open it's throat. The goblin still hissed and cursed, so he took another swing. Somehow, the damn thing's neck hadn't broken, so Daiko did what he did best. He flew in the air about 5 meters, then stopped, leaning all his weight down into swinging the ax. That did it. The goblin's head was sliced off, though not as clean as Daiko would've wanted it. Tossing the ax off to the side, he glances at Kakuma "Dinner is served."

Kakuma simply watched as her ally finished off the poor stupid goblin, smiling as she did. She wonder what he thought when he betrayed them. she simply smiled and changed form to eat, she sniffs its body, which caused her to Immediately withdraw. "never Mind he smells foul." She sighs again and starts to walk off. "we are done here i guess... you mind finishing the tree cause im sleepy." In all honesty she had not slept in two days so she was very tired, she walked off to the stating but only managed half the distance before she found a nice cozy spot to doze off at, it was full of nice warm leave to roll in and keep her warm, She yawn and curled up in the leaves. she dozed of dreaming of Friends and family, She honestly didn't like this world so far more than a few people had thrown things at her and she was treated like a second rate citizen in alot of ways but it mattered not as long as she had a good time she would not mind so much as long as she could find something to keep her entertained andThere was alot in this world that entertained her

After killing the goblin, Daiko yawns. His partner left and he was left to do the tree by himself. So much for having a team. He takes each piece of wood and tosses it aside, the tree finally being cleared. He sat on the train tracks a lie back. There was a pause, and the sound around him was completely silent. Standing up, he begins to run toward where he was to turn in his mission. Jumping in the air, he begins to fly toward his location, the air rushing past his face and messing up his hair. Putting on his hood, he stops this calamity...

Daiko flies with his back to his location, just drifting on the wind like the smoke he has been blowing out. When he finally arrives, he floats down to the ground, and grabs the paper. There was a plump man behind the desk. Slamming the paper on the table, he grabs the jewel and salutes. Today was quite the action filled day for him already, and it was just starting. Daiko met someone pretty powerful today, and was happy to be able to relax. It was time to head home, and either smoke or eat. Fun stuff.
