Personality:

Nai is quite soft-spoken, shy, and ....sweet. To a point. That said, he is a closet sadist. He expresses kindness through backhanded compliments or anonymous forms of assistance, and would rather swallow a lightning lacrima whole than expose his less-violent nature. His hobbies include shadowing himself in gloomy auras, pointing out others' flaws, and being as pessimistic as possible. Revenge is Nai's middle name, and he has no qualms coming straight out and admitting he despises someone. Truthful to a fault, Nai has never seen the point in telling lies. He prefers the straightforward "stomping over peoples' feelings" method to the complex "mind-games" people play when wasting their time trying to get the other person to like them. Though he loves cruelty, Nai is susceptible to bouts of sweetness when confronted with old ladies, good food and good music. He is a loyal and slightly over-protective friend, but has a tendency to treat them like his playthings. Nevertheless, this wizard outshines many a comrade with frightening honesty, unbreakable loyalty, and something resembling kindness.
Edit: "bromance" and Nai operate on two different wavelengths. It's not that it can't happen; it's just that he'd have to be beaten with something very hard and very heavy, drowned in a barrel of straight alcohol, and made to listen to 24 hours of straight rap music before showing the slightest sign of liking someone. Though rare, he'll occasionally fall for the "strong but flawed" kind of character: the more sadistic, the better.  

Unfortunately, Nai makes for a terrible drunk. This point is so important that I have decided to dedicate an entire paragraph to it. First off, Nai's a leaker. Magic-wise, that it. When he's hammered, Nai has to be careful to keep from standing near open flames, lest he go up like a torch, taking everything in the nearby vicinity down with him. He ALSO has a nasty habit of spilling all his dirtiest, darkest secrets to whoever happens to be unlucky enough to be within 50 feet of him (Nai has quite the set of lungs). The last and most crucial point made within this seemingly pointless paragraph is thus: Nai can get drunk off the smell of alcohol alone. Even if he tries to avoid it, it will happen. He must be careful never to let this secret escape, or be forever at the mercy of his foes.

Nai is too soft-spoken to be a leader, preferring a less obvious "team-player" role. And he is. Though his personality is straightforward and to-the-point, his magic is slow, roundabout, and subtle. Oftentimes he will plop down on his butt and view the battle for minutes at a time before unleashing a tirade of spells at a vulnerable enemy. Nai responds well to team leaders who give open-ended commands, leaving him free to manipulate his magic as he sees fit. Because of his sadism, he makes a poor leader, focusing more on bringing misery to his opponent then defeating them in a more efficient manner.  

Likes:
-Killing the Mood: Nothing perks up Nai more than bringing gloom and an unhealthy dose of despair to the table.
-Revenge: Revenge is sweet. Especially when its justified.
-Delicious Foods: *magrhghphmmm..MMM!.. chew...gulp* Ahh. SOOO GOOD!

-Very Excessive Meanness: Cruelty is great and all, but...come on. Torturing innocent puppies? *Tsk-tsk* Less than classy.
-Gratitude: THANK ME? HA! I'll have none of it, you scum-eating maggot!
-Lies: I kill you.
-Disloyalty: Debts must be paid.
-Masochists: You mean you-?! Wow. No fun at all.

-Companionship: It's no fun hurting things if no one is around to try and stop it. Plus... loneliness sucks.
-Hero Complex: Must... save... the world!
-Identity Crisis: Is being sadistic evil? Or is it just who I am? Ugh, I wanna squish something...

-Himself: Nai is afraid that one day he might scar someone close to him, and so keeps his friends at a comfortable distance.
-Heights: Is this a cliff- OH THE HORROR!
-Powerful Old People: They're too old to hurt, too powerful to ignore, and senile enough to make your day just that much more complicated.

Hair: Straight, short black hair cut fashionably uneven.

Skin Tone: Light, but not quite pale.
Appearance: Nai usually wears a light black jacket with a fur rim, and a thin white v-neck under that. White and black are his signature colors: black for pain and white for what comes after. He has a deceptively cute "little brother" appearance, especially when he looks to be peacefully reading the little black notebook he always carries. Nai is short and thin, with delicate features that serve as perfect bait to lure in his next punching ba- *ahem* potential buddy!
