Breaking The Siege

Job Description:

Axel and Xavier make their way to the Quanny Village that the old man spoke of. He informed them of a large group of bandits that were using the villagers to excavate portions of the Ancient Ruins. This was something that could not be left unnoticed, so the two wizards decided the only thing to do was stop these scoundrels. As they made their way up the hill behind the small village, their vision was immediately shifted towards the bandits below. The two looked at one another nodding to show that they both understand what is about to go down. “These guys won’t even know what hit em’!” Axel says excitingly since this is his first job.

Xavier put his arm out in front of Axel, to stop him from rushing in there like a fool. "You and I both know that we are powerful in our own right, though we are still at the bottom of the wizard ranking tree by definition. And besides, they have the greater numbers on us. Simply look down there, and you'll understand what I mean." He stood atop o rock that gave him a better view of what exactly was below them. The village spread out beneath their feet, and even from a distance it was obvious as to what was going on. People were running amok in the village center, and from the look of things the chaos had only begun.

The member 'Linxwire' has done the following action : Dice Rolls

'Monster Dice' :

"We should start with a stealth approach." Axel begins "After they've noticed we're there we will have already taken out a few idiots. If you look at them there we can see 5 individuals with gun magic. We could sneak and take out at least one of those before getting spotted to keep things easy. I think the smaller guys don't use any magic so that could be easy. We also need to think about keeping the villagers safe during the fight, no use heading down there and risking our own lives if the villagers end up dead anyway." He looks to Xavier for approval looking more serious than usual.

Xavier examined their formations, two of the gun men were watching the chaos from the rooftops, how they got up there was pretty much a mystery but they would be easier to handle. The bulk of them were dispersed among the place terrorizing villagers. "Sounds like a plan. It would be better to thin their numbers before they inevitable all turn on us at once. At town hall is where their focus seems to be, so if you take the left flank, and I take the right we can dispose of them efficiently, and hopefully have a smaller chance of being spotted." He looked Axel in the eyes, to make sure they were on the same page here. "Agreed?"

"Agreed" he replies. They break off to finish their separate objectives which should go just fine if they don't somehow screw up. Axel approaches his designated area hiding in the shadows from the weaker opponents. He knows it's too risky to use his teleportation because of the bright flash it gives off when activated. Instead he climbs up on the building while keeping in a crouched position to avoid being heard. Axel notices the armed foe begin to turn around so quickly he fires off three darkness shots towards his direction. As the enemy turns he is surprised by two dark shots hitting his torso and one smashing his face. Darkness begins to engulf the mouth of the gunman preventing him from speech. "Well that was close" Axel whispers. Confused, the gunman raises his weapon towards Axel in hopes of taking him out. Axel immediately runs towards the bandit delivering a drop kick sending his foe off the rooftop. Thieves and Marauders in the area notice Axel and his stealth mission has expired. "Bring it on you disgusting excuses of people!" he screams down to the bandits.

Xavier scaled the rooftop, to see a man falling from the one Axel was assigned to. he facepalmed, as is partner had preemptively started a fight that wouldn't end easily, but on the other hand it was the perfect distraction for him to take down the other gunman. He punched the man in the spine, and his viper static went to work well, paralyzing the man temporarily, but by the time he was on his feet the fight would be over. The moment had come for Xaiver to join in the fray. He jumped down landing on the shoulders of one man armed with magic guns, and covered his eyes so he couldn't shoot straight.

"Is that kid stupid?" Axel asked himself. Instead of simply watching his partner get torn to shred, Axel decided to jump down and assist. He had wanted to use Divine Light but the charge time would take too long for the current situation. Axel instead jumped down to join the fight. His sword was raised high slashing through 2 unsuspecting thieves. As he looked around he realized him and Xavier were being surrounded. "This doesn't look good kid!" he yelled towards Xavier. Axel felt a heavy punch from a Marauder that impacted his back. This attack sent him straight through the window of a nearby building. As Axel got up he decided now was the time to charge Divine Light. The dark room was soon filled with light from Axel's ball of light, he focused on making this strong so they could prevail on their mission.

The man Xavier was riding complained about not being able to see very well, and not realizing he had a child riding on him he fired of several shots that impacted three of his teammates, easily making short work of his shortly devised plan. However it was brought to a close as one his allies punched Xavier clear off of the man's head, and down to the ground below. Five men surrounded Xavier thinking of wicked and horrible ideas of torture, none of them actually knew he was a wizard just yet. Fear gripped him as he knew now that he was in a horrible situation, and as he stared at these heinous looking faces, something inside of him woke up for the first time in his life. Arrows rained down upon the men, and three of them fell victim to it, but they originated from a peculiar location. The two remaining searched for their assailant, when one found his partner out cold. A specter like ghostly figure stood where his ally once was, holding a metal shield which it used to knock the man unconscious. Then another figure of the same description showed himself from a rooftop not far away, holding a bow in hand. Xavier was bewildered at this turn of luck.

Yo:

As Axel's ball of light grew in size, 2 smaller looking opponents entered the building he had been sent into. They readied their daggers with an evil grin on their faces. "Lucky for you two I've got my hands busy" Axel said looking down to the spell he was currently charging. Both of the enemies sprinted towards Axel with their dagger pulled back ready to stab through their foe's body. Axel leaped and sent a spinning kick to one of the thieves. The other took a slash at Axel's arm which immediately began bleeding. He kneed the remaining thief in the stomach and finished him with high kick to his chin. The ball of light let off a bright surge which signaled that it was ready.

“Yeah!! Finally, things are going my way for once!” Xavier cheered, jumping for joy as he now seemed to have a small group at his beck and call. The gunslinger Xavier was once riding on took a few steps back, and cried out, “Gatling Shot!” which in turn preceded a volley of bullets that were surely going to shower Xavier if his new friend hadn’t stood in the way, with his shield raised high to protect them from the attack. Now taking the initiative, Xavier leaped over his friends shoulder, and cast Shock on his enemies, electrocuting the two men who previously surrounded him, the thief and gunslinger. “My luck is on point tonight!” From a distance, Xavier’s other friend was being pinned down on the rooftop by yet another bandit using gun magic, firing relentlessly upon him. He couldn’t lose him yet, they only just met. He was about to act when the other men stepped in his way. “Don’t forget about us, kid!!”

Yo:

Without hesitation Axel ran out of the building and back into the action. He could see Xavier had been joined by new allies but there was no time to question who they were. A group of 3 marauders and 2 thieves began to charge at Axel who was still holding the ball of light in his hands. This opportunity couldn't have gotten any better for him. Immediately he pulled the ball back into a position signifying that he was ready to launch it. The enemies then noticed something was wrong and slowed down. "Move!" yelled a marauder but at this point it was to late. Axel shot his hands forwards and the ball of light was sent soaring 42 yards directly impacting a marauder. Since the enemies dispersed to the left and right they were caught in the explosion. Both thieves were down along with 2 marauders. The one that remained got up and began to run around one of the buildings to try his luck with Xavier. Axel took this time to flip his coin for a boost in either defense or attack so he'd be ready to face off with more foes.

The member 'Axel Tsuruna' has done the following action : Dice Rolls

'Normal Dice' :

Xavier felt endowed in his position currently, he was in control of two capable fighters. However being a leader wasn’t exactly his forte, and his commands were generally ignored by the two. They stuck to what they felt was sensible in this situation. They may be outnumbered, but properly biding their attacks would serve them well. The bowman stood to take a shot, as the gun slinging bandit had to take time to service a jam in his gun, and nailed him in the shoulder with an arrow. Xavier’s friend with the shield stood on one knee holding of the brunt of attacks that came his way from the group of men in front of the two of them, but a thief and a marauder managed to slip past him heading straight for Xavier. He pulled out his two hanbo as they came at him. He successfully tripped one, but the other dodged swiftly. They both found themselves behind him, and they turned to face each other, both bandits attacking in unison.

Yo:

The coin lands in Axel's hand perfectly with tails facing upwards. He can feel his defensive abilities increase as his light shields circle around his body. Xavier will have another problem if Axel doesn't hurry and take down the marauder that he let go. Axel begins to sprint towards him at a high speed, catching up slightly every second. The marauder suddenly stops in his tracks. His hand can be seen being pulled back ready to slug Axel in the face. Without any delay Axel jumps in an attempt to avoid his foe's attack. Quickly the marauder swings landing a hit on Axel's leg. He is now directly above the marauder looking down at his anger driven face. Instantly Axel aims his hand downwards and fires 3 dark shots into the brute's head. Axel crashing on onto his back while his opponent falls over. "That...was...AWESOME!" Axel screams. Immediately he gets back on his feet and runs off to help Xavier.

Spoiler:

Trying to remain as nimble as possible, Xavier ducked as the bandits sprinted full force at him simultaneously. The first came swiftly for his neck, and he was able to duck underneath the man’s arm. The second one came for his leg, but he wasn't able to focus on him at the same time, and he managed to hamstring him. Now limping, he stayed on one knee and pointed at the two assailants, and casted Shock on them. The lightning arced from his fingertips once more, electrocuting the two easily, and they fell without much protest in the matter. “I’d like to see you dodge that.” He bellowed grudgingly. His friend with the shield held up the defense quite well, it was rather easy considering all that was left were Marauders, however there were nine of them. Xavier's bowman drew three more arrows firing a volley into the group, only harming them slightly. There's still work to do.

Yo:

As Xavier came into Axel's view he could see that his ally could be in some trouble. There were 9 marauders surrounding him and his new friends. Two of the marauders spotted Axel and began sprinting towards him. Along with them a gunslinger emerged from a nearby building. Hopefully Xavier could hold off while Axel dealt with his current situation. He unsheathed his sword and decided to target the most dangerous foe. Quickly he ran towards the gunslinger with his sword pointed and ready to strike. "Sniper shot!" the gunslinger bellows. Axel manages to only be scraped but the shot but loses his footing as he run. The bullet hit one of the marauders that followed behind Axel which makes the situation a little easier. Once Axel gets back into the groove of things, he is running fast and has almost reached his target. He raises his gun again aiming for Axel's body. "Gatling sho-!" Axel cuts across the gun man's chest before he finishes his attack. To finish him off Axel delivers a swift kick to his skull knocking him out.

Spoiler:

"Defend me while I charge an attack!" Xavier called to his noble fighters. Their bodies were starting to fade as their time was running out. The one bearing a shield took a few steps back and charged down a few of the men in front of Xavier, who fell like dominoes. His bowman took three more arrows marking the same targets, and drew back focusing the last of it's energy into the shot. Letting the arrows soar, the three men finally fell to the ground, but there were still many to deal with, as the two men who were knocked over earlier didn't quite learn their lesson, and stood back up defiantly.

Yo:

The remaining marauder that followed Axel struck him directly in the face. Axel was pushed back but remained on his feet. Swiftly he sliced the marauder causing him to collapse. Now all that was left was to join up with Xavier. He took off towards his troubled ally. In view was Xavier getting surrounded. Every step increases the intensity of the situation. Two men get back up to face Xavier but Axel takes them out from behind with his sword quick and calmly. He sheathes his sword and readies his fist for the rest of the enemies. "Bring it on bitches!"

Spoiler:

The two man Xavier was relying dissolved into thin air from their feet upwards, giving a brief salute before they were entirely gone. The men who remained were cornered by Axel and Xavier from the south and the north, it would be like catching fish in a barrel. Fully charged, Xavier made his move. "Static Jump!" His whole body, pulsing with lightning power, the ground shattered at his feet as the force of his jump sent him flying at the men like a missile. The men cowered together, making for a rather east target. "Now Axel!" Xavier called to his partner just before the impact that sent the men flying Axel's direction, bruised and battered.

Yo:

"Haunting Shadows!" Axel yelled at the top of his lungs. A warrior constructed of only darkness leaped out of Axel's still body. It moved quickly and fiercely towards the air born enemies. With much ease the warrior jumped between bandits clawing at them in the air. The final bandit was grabbed by the dark creature and sent barreling into the ground. Once the creature reached the dirt Axel called him back. It slowly vanished into thin air and Axel began to move again. "This is quite unfortunate for you." Axel whispered to one of the bandits.

Spoiler:

Xavier walked up to Axel and the bandit, picking him up off the ground by his collar. His body was limp but he seemed to still have some wits about him. "So what exactly did you punks think you could accomplish by taking this village as a personal playground? You better answer quick, because I'm not in a very patient mood." Xavier's eyes were shadowed by his emotions, and he glared down at the man, who in response was too afraid to say anything at the moment. He stayed there with Axel and their new hostage, interrogating him for his team's motives, and etc. while the village members gathered themselves, noticing the conflict had ended and the harassment stopped. Another mission accomplished.
