Okay so I have seen this work on other sites, as the name suggest people post up the topics the need approving for the staff to then look at. When a staff member takes on one of the topics they quote the approval request in the request thread. I have seen this work first hand keeping the staff on track with what needs to be looked at.

Re: Approvel Thread
No this has not been implemented. I think we suggested in previously, but it was considered that it would be too cluttered and members would just keep posting when they needed something rechecked after edits.
If we put some limitations on it then this might be feasible I suppose.

Re: Approvel Thread
I think the problem with this is that there is ALWAYS something to be approved. The thread would hit 100 pages faster then a job between the two fastest posters alive.

Re: Approvel Thread
You can always bump your own application threads instead of waiting for a staff member to show up in the chatterbox.
As for the shop, jobs and trading hub. If you are feeling that these are not checked frequently enough, feel free to let us know. All we can do, or I can do is make sure that we take a look at those more often. Because it is what zack said, such a page probably might get cluttered fast. And with everyone throwing their own thing to get approved and approvals in it, it easily creates a lot of pages in it. Making possible that we miss 'approval requests'.

Re: Approvel Thread
What I personally suggest is that you PM a mod you feel will be suited to reviewing it when you want something approved. Some reviewers have different styles after all. I am always open to being PMed with requests and its a good way of me to keep track of them so that I can do them when I get a chance.

Re: Approvel Thread
an idea is to have it set up for important things. Like magic and character/weapon/pet applications.
Another idea is something I've seen on othersites where they distributed power amongst the mods and admins and specialized them. This is a little off topic until I get to the topic part but the idea was to make it so mods only did one thing. They approved applications, they approved magic or they approved missions etcetera etcetera so their plates didn't get overfilled wit hwork. If you did something like that then you could have separate approval threads for specific things and it made it easier to maintain.

The huge problem with that, is that everyone has other obligations outside of here. If members of staff were assigned this or that specific section, it could easily become a much bigger headache for them and the player's. Not every staff member can be on every single day. I know for certain some of them, namely a few Moderators, aren't on a lot.
So assigning them a certain section, could just lead to some sections get backed-up horribly. While others might always or near always be caught up. Which in turn would mean, members, regardless of what section the mod/admin is specifically assigned to would nag at them to dip their hands into another staffer's section because they "don't want to wait". And honestly, if nobody is reviewing their app already, its just ridiculous to expect them to wait god knows how long for such and such person to get on and finally give them their first review, second review, or approval.
As Zack and Harrigan pointed out, that's kind of why people can bump threads or send a Private Message to a member of staff. If they have certain member of staff who prefer review their stuff, they can mark the app saying they want such and such to review it ONLY. This can further be accomplished by sending that specific member of staff a message....

Re: Approvel Thread
that's a part of staff krow (I noticed this really late). You make a certain degree of commitment to your activity on the site or your not a member.
Let's say you make, 3 moderators in each category of say, character apps, magic apps, and mission approvals (in general these are the main three). Each category also has an admin. so that's 4 people for each section. Also, with only one thing to worry about, that's more time for you because if all 4 people show up to work regularly, they all get a few apps done a day, then everyone has more free time and less work, while still getting everything done, reasonably faster, because a moderator isn't looking at a character app, then a magic app, then 3 missions, and then 2 more character apps. When they could just do 3 character apps, a magic app, or 3 missions. It's less work for everyone and they'll be better at their jobs due to the specialization, so they'll be faster still.
