    Description: Nuclear magic, or Radioactive magic as it is sometimes called, uses the principles of unstable elements to cause damage to opponents or change the nature of something into something else. The idea is to create unstable isotopes and speed or slow their decay while directing the decay. No one really knows how it works since the current world doesn't really know enough science to understand radioactivity. Relatively unheard of, the nebulous nature of the magic can make it difficult for one to ascertain they have it. Nuclear magic can be incredibly dangerous, often leading to horrific side effects especially to innocent bystanders. To do quick or widespread damage, however, the magic must be well developed.

    Jemal uses Nuclear magic primarily as ranged radius attacks with the occasional direct offense or defense. Radiation effects can further weaken opponents as side effects of his magic. Buffs are essentially unheard of. Nuclear magic lends itself to sickening attacks but the side effects can be difficult to predict. A strange type of healing can also be used through radiation.

    Strengths:

    • Powerful radius attacks
    • Can create unstable elements
    • Has limited healing applications

    Weaknesses:

    • Can damage allies
    • Has little way to defend against attacks
    • Strong "heavier" rays can be easily defended against or blown away
    • Impossible to predict physical effects dealt to foe
    • Can accidentally cause sickness to people even if magic isn’t actively being used

    Abilities/Powers:

    • X-ray Vision: for brief flashes of time Jemal can use the same principle of radiation to take an image of someone’s bone structure or see object obscured by flesh or similar nature as an x-ray. This is not a moving picture or video like -- only spare still frames done on likewise still subjects as movement obscures the x-ray beyond comprehension.
    • Radiation Immune: as otherwise the caster would kill themselves, they have an immunity to the effects of radiation.
    • Radioactive Body: the mage is frequently surrounded by radioactive materials and since the caster has a protection against the radiation that radiation is liable to be picked up by anyone close to him. Each time contact is made with the caster there is a 5% chance the contacting party will suffer from the corresponding radiation level effect(see below) minus an additional Caster Rank. This is true for enemies or allies.
    • Radiation Level Effects: As response to radiation can vary substantially, each level of radiation has a few options. These effects last for 2 posts.

      • If subject is more than 1 above Caster rank there is no effect
      • If subject is 1 above Caster Rank: nausea, fatigue (50% chance of each)
      • If subject is equal to Caster Rank: intense nausea, intense fatigue, vomiting (33% chance for each)
      • If subject is at 1 or more below Caster Rank: internal bleeding, intense vomiting (50% chance of each)





    Name: Gamma Sphere

    Type: Offensive Ranged Duration
    Description: Jemal puts his hand to the ground and a sphere of radiation encases a 10 meter area around Jemal, damaging anyone inside the sphere. The effect is produces a bright light within the sphere that quickly fades. The gamma radiation fills the area, piercing through most materials but doing limited damage as it easily passes through the targets, not endangering them to radiation effects.
    Strengths:
    -effects multiple foes
    -lowers opponent’s accuracy by 75% for 1 post due to the flash of bright light
    -partially passes through shields
    Weaknesses:-allies are just as effected as enemies
    -any armor or shield negates 75% damage even if normally said object would be ineffective against this type of attack, the nature of the rays are partially blocked by thick objects, 25% damage still effective as some rays make it through shields
    -light distraction is only temporary, dispelling quickly
    -Jemal’s hand must be to the ground to cast, impairing his ability to dodge attacks
    -exiting the sphere ends the damage done
    -duration is 3 rounds, cool down is also 3

    Name: Decay Form Solid
    Rank: D
    Type: Unspecified
    Description: Not truly an attack, Decay Form Solid utilizes the principal that unstable nuclei decay into new elements. Jemal focuses his energy to create a 12 cm cubed block(or alternately a sphere of the same size) of any unstable isotope. This isotope is in the state of its normal existence and cannot change state unless the environment it was brought into would alter its state.
    Strengths:
    -provides much variety in terms of material to take form
    -gives the user something potentially hefty to throw
    -has no ill effect on those in the vicinity
    Weaknesses:
    -isotope decays at normal rate for given isotope, meaning the composition can change to something less desirable over time
    -this requires a great deal of focus and lowers defense by 75% while casting
    -concentration must be contained if material is in liquid or gas form if it is to keep its block or spherical shape, otherwise it will behave as its normal form
    -while Jemal is immune to radiation, whatever other effects the element might have will effect him too(such as holding sulfur-35)
    -duration is 4 posts(or shorter depending on decay rate), cool down is 6 posts

    Name: Nuclear Bomb
    Rank: D
    Type: Offensive Ranged
    Description: The mage forces Uranium-235 to capture a neutron, gathering more uranium around the focal point to create a chain reaction. A small fission reaction occurs where the “bomb” is created, doing substantial damage to anyone within a 10 meter radius, doing extreme damage to anyone centered on the blast. The formation of the bomb can be up to 15m away from the caster. A bomb can be remotely dispelled by the caster.
    Strengths:
    -the bomb can be rigged to go off if someone enters the space or triggered by the mage whenever the mage wishes
    -can be controlled by the mage from up to 20 meters away
    -anyone within the bomb’s radius is subject to their corresponding level of radiation effect
    Weaknesses:
    -the center of the bomb is fairly easy to avoid
    -allies can be caught in the blast, or even the caster
    -once created bombs cannot be moved
    -any other magic attempted while maintaining control of a bomb requires 25% more mp or the caster is forced to immediately set it off or dispel the bomb
    -duration: once created the bomb exists until it is set off, the blast is instantaneous; cool down is 3 posts from after the bomb was created


    Name: Radioactive Wall

    Type: Defensive
    Description:
    The user spreads his hands and creates a shield of particles around himself, protecting him from feeling the full effects of spells or physical attacks used against him. This shield is invisible but essentially creates a sort of semipermeable forcefield around Jemal. The shield follows Jemal when he moves.
    Strengths:
    -the wall protects in a 360 degree fashion, leaving no area exposed
    -any physical attack entering the barrier is subject to the respective radiation level effect
    -any attacks made against the shield, while not stopped, halve damage taken by caster
    Weaknesses:
    -the wall is personal, being of no use to allies
    -wind or water or other forceful dispersal agent can dissolve the radioactive wall, carrying the radiation with them
    -caster’s magic can not exit the shield without a similar negation of damage
    -piercing type attacks only have 25% damage negates
    -duration is 3 posts, cool down is 3 as well
