Name: Tanko Matomai
Gender: Male
Age: 6003
Birthday: October 2
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: Tanko has a tattoo on his forehead, a sideways eye with three stripes running horizontally. Also, his right arm, from halfway up the arm, all the way down to encompass his fingers, is a much lighter, paler color than the rest of his body.
Personality: Outside of battle, Tanko is a usually calm, patient man, who spends most of his time listening to others, learning, and cracking really bad jokes. A firm believer of the good in others, Tanko will often give people a chance to talk out their problems, rather than allowing them to act out their aggressions and frustrations. Sometimes all people need is a calm, cooling influence with an open ear and a shoulder to cry on, and Tanko is more than happy to be that influence, ear, shoulder, and as often as he can, helping sense of humor. No matter how many times this approach blows up in his face, he has yet to truly give up on it.
This doesn't mean he lets everything slide. As much as he believes in the goodness of others, he also firmly believes in justice. Very few times has he been pushed to the point of actually pursuing real justice and action, and each time he has made certain that the punishment fits the crime, usually a crime that certainly fits the person, often going on a long time of studying the one that needs to be punished. Death is a penalty reserved for very few, as it is an escape, more than a punishment.
Once Tanko deems someone worthy of true, vengeful justice, he pursues that justice doggedly. Tanko knew fiore, before it was fiore. He knew it, guarded it, and led it, through dark times, and he allowed himself to be sacrificed for the land. Those who would harm it are his enemies, and they shall be eradicated. Once Tanko labels someone as a real enemy, they see a side of him that very few have, and none of them alive to explain it. Tanko calls this state of mind Stonehenge, and speaks of it as if it is an entirely different person. Stonehenge is a much darker, colder, more brutal version of Tanko, a man with few qualms about hurting others, creatively, and painfully, if need be. Stonehenge is a separate state of mind entirely, almost a different consciousness, that Tanko can slip into, and out of, at will, with little recollection of what has happened. It has, in the far past, proven to be both a gift, and a dark curse, as he knows what that other side is capable of, and feels shame about it.
In combat, Tanko is all business, stepping up to the front lines, and leading by example. He is the sword of justice, and the shield of the people. He simultaneously commands those with him to strike hard at the enemy vulnerabilities, while stepping in to the heaviest line of fire, and up to the biggest foes. By putting the target on him, those he cares about the most, or those with so much future ahead of them, have a much better chance of survival. He is the first to charge, and the last to leave the field, making sure that all of his allies have escaped.
Likes: - Tanko can not resist a good joke. Or a bad one at that. He loves both hearing, and giving them out.
- Tanko loves books, to a scary extent. Six thousand years in a cave will leave one with an incredible craving to see what others minds have produced.
- Tanko has a very small, green, leather bound book that he keeps in his pocket at all times. Inside are drawings, very well done, showing the faces of four people, Tanko being one of them, two being beautiful women, and one being another man. Often in these drawings the four are together, but most often showing a young woman with short hair and a smile. The book is unimagineably important to him, and losing it, even for a moment, sends him into a panicked frenzy, until he can find it.
Dislikes: - Losing his little green book throws Tanko into a panic. It is his most treasured possession.
- Tanko can not stand people with out a sense of humor, or at least the patience to put up with jokes.
- Tanko despises little, wooden puzzles. He can never solve the damn things.
Motivations: - Tanko seeks to learn all he can about this new time he has found himself in.
- Tanko misses his old friends and allies, and he longs for that kind of bond once more.
- Tanko despises royalty. He once was a king, so one might think that odd, but he was a king that fought, bled, and ultimately sacrificed all for his people, and he hopes to inspire that kind of leadership in others.
Fears: - Losing his little, green book. If he ever truly lost it, he would lose the only link he has left to the past. One of them anyway.
- Losing his sword. It is the only other link he has to the past, though it is a very bitter link.
- As much as Tanko fears losing his past, he fears losing his future, and the chance to see what will happen next, just as much.

Height: 6'2"
Weight: 243lbs
Hair: Black and short, combed back, with his sideburns running down to run into a black, neatly trimmed beard and mustache.
Eyes: Green
Skin Tone: Tanned
Appearance: Tanko is a very handsome man, with a strong jaw line, hidden under his well trimmed beard, with light wrinkles on either side of his mouth, and a few on his forehead as well. His head sits upon a muscular neck, spreading out to impressive trapezoids and broad shoulders. His muscles are well defined from years of training, though his right hand, from half way up the forearm down to the hand is a much lighter shade of skin tone than the rest of his body, and a small, star shaped, burn mark is on his right chest, and corresponding back. His usual attire is a pair of black boots, leather, with matching black gloves, going up to halfway up his forearms, and a belt. He wears a pair of loose, dark green, pants and matching tunic with a deep V neck, with thin, light, interlocking, iron rings woven into the arms and leggings.. Over the lower half he wears a lighter green piece of thin cloth with small, iron links woven in, starting at his left hip and wrapping around the back to his right hip, stretching down to his knees in the back, with a two inch thick strip of leather in the front, stretching down to his knees again, inlaid with gold and iron in decorative designs, with a gold and emerald emblem just below the waist. Silver painted iron and gold rings are worn loosely over his abdomen and kidneys, hanging from armor over his chest and shoulders. The shoulders are comprised of two heavy, green painted, iron pauldrons, jutting out over his shoulders and out for another six inches, with four iron, dark green pieces of armor hanging from them, covering his pectorals and his shoulder blades, held in place by leather straps. A large, dark green cape hangs from the pauldrons as well. Around his neck he wears a golden chain, with a thin, green plate that hangs down between the two plates over his chest, holding the same green and gold emblem. Two swords sit on his left hip, one long, straight sword with a leather wrapped hilt and gold crossgaurds in a green scabbard. The other is a silver hilted, curved sword, in a white and gold scabbard, with an intricately carved hilt and crossgaurds. To finish it off is a crown, gold with a thing band around the back, and a small widening at the front, with the same gold and green emblem, this time with the green being made of emeralds, with two small emeralds on either side of the emblem, stretching out towards the sides.
