Change in Leadership [Guild Event, Open to all ST members]

Ryo adjusted his hat as he walked out of guild bar. He had just finished having a good drink, and had just decided that he would finally do what he was called here to do. Zenshin had sent a message for him to come see him and so that is why Ryo was here. Since moving in with Ian he rarely takes the time to visit the Guild hall anymore. Much to his own personal sorrow.

As he made his way to Zenshin's office it was clear for him. This was the first time he had ever gone to Zenshin's office. As he walked into the office he couldn't find Zenshin anywhere. Instead all he saw was a scroll suspended in mid air above his desk. Ryo walked up to the scroll and pulled the scroll down into his hands. He looked over it and read the message. The message was just simply that Zenshin was away handling things he needed to handle. Ryo being the only knight in the guild he decided that Ryo was the only one he could trust to run the guild while he was gone. Only while he was gone, and then Ryo would have to turn over power once more. Ryo looked at scroll in his hands and was shocked. He didn't want power, he didn't want this position. He didn't ask for it, and part of him didn't even want it, but he was going to do what was best for the guild.

He rolled up the scroll and tucked it into his coat. He turned and walked back out of Zenshin's office and out to the meeting balcony. He took a deep breath and started to speak the magic of the lacrima he was standing on allowing his voice to be heared throughout the entire guild hall "Attention all members of Sabertooth. Report to the Meeting area. All members should report to the meeting area at once for important guild news." Ryo then stood there and simply waited for anyone, or everyone to show up. He looked down at the scroll in his hand once more and shook his head how was he going to convince everyone that this was really what Zenshin wanted.


OOC: Everyone who wants to join in has 72 hrs to post from this post's time. After that I will post and the posting order will happen based on who posted after me.

Aayla couldn't help but jump as a suddenly a loud voice was heard throughout the guildhall. She had just returned from a string of missions with Kiersa and Cirven, hoping to have a day to relax and sleep when they were greeted with an announcement to gather in the meeting area. It took a moment for Aayla to figure out where the voice was coming from, but once it was explained to her, she calmed down and headed towards the meeting area with her team, wondering if maybe Mary would already be there.

"What do you think this is about..?"
Aayla asked Cirven in a whisper as they entered the meeting area. She had never heard anyone but Marick use that lacrima to get anyones attention, and then he had announced his departure from the guild. Her heart suddenly clenched in her chest as she looked up at Ryo. Where they going to be losing another member? She had enough friends leave... she didn't want to see anyone else go.

"What was that? I am scared Marik" "Its Ryo, lets go and see"
Marik was drinking with Becky, suddenly they heard someone calling all Fairy Tail members, it looked like something important, more when Marik realized it was the knight calling them, the dragon acted kind of nervous, and the slayer kind of excited, they started there way to the meeting area, Becky in hers dragons form, and Marik... Marik holding and drinking from a beer. "Is it a good idea" Marik laughed a bit "We don't have any other option".

Cirven had been relaxing with his sister, Aalya while they were in between jobs. It had seemed like they had been doing constant jobs with not much of a break between so it was good that they managed to get away from that and relax some. It didn't seem like they would get to relax much though because of the voice that came over the lacrima.

He had to follow his sister to the meeting area because he never had been there before. Sabertooth didn't have any meetings while he had been there until now so it was to be expected. "I don't know, Aalya. Must be pretty important though." He whispered back to her. He gave a wave to everyone present in the room as they entered and then put his hands into his pockets as they waited.

Kiersa followed behind Cirven and Aayla, wondering what was going on. She remained quiet though at the appearance of so many unfamiliar faces, in particular the one atop on the balcony. What's going on? Who is he? the nun silently wondered before she spotted amongst the members a sight she never thought to behold on her whole life-time. A girl... with real... bunny ears... Bright pink bunny ears... Kiersa gave a short squee sound at the sight of the bunny-girl as her mind came to understanding that this was not a hallucination or mirage.

Kiersa had to force herself to not rush over and start petting the bunny-girl, as A) That would be almost certainly rude and would probably be highly inappropriate, and B) They had all been summoned for a meeting, so it was probably a good idea to hear out the man on the balcony first. She tried to compose herself, but found her eyes darting back to the bunny-girl as she blushed furiously at the sight of a real-live bunny girl.

Then her face went even redder as she recalled that modelling job she had done with Mary, and what she had worn for it. What was the cause for her fiercer red face was the thought that maybe this real bunny-girl had possibly seen those pictures in the magazine... The nun wondered what she would have thought of them.

Mary on the other hand was all the way in the back trying to avoid Kiersa from taking away more of her rights to do anything. Still she was there hiding from the back and awaiting what is the important announcement was going to be. And then she saw it, a real life bunnygirl. Mary looked at Kiersa and then bunnygirl and sighed, that nun better thank her later. Grabbing Kiersa by the hand she dragged her friend through the crowd, picked her up and placed her in the seat next to the bunnygirl. She then looked at the bunnygirl and said, "Hello my name is Mary and this here is my friend Kiersa that has been dying to meet you. What is your name?" Mar swore that Kiersa needed to break out of her shyness and just do things. Still despite all of this, the Demon Nun was interested in what Ryo had to say.

Mary even called out to the man, "This has to do with our disappearing guildmaster doesn't it? You look like a fun guy, don't keep us in suspence!"

Eien had been sleeping in a spot of sunlight in her room when the announcement came, she didn't rouse right away, but the clamor of people tromping around woke her completely. She sat up rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she had red hair today and was about 6 foot. standing up she scratches her head, yawning as she does, only to yelp as she pokes herself a little to hard with one of her claws. Opening the door she steps out, closing the door behind her, oblivious to her lack of proper clothing. Meandering down the hall she finally reaches the area, she scratches her messy hair, really one of her cat like ears. "Wuss oin on." she asks the nearest person to her, though a yawn. She stands in place clearly still wanting to sleep, and still oblivious that shes only wearing panties and a nightie, for anyone who was wondering they are a very girly pink.

Emilia had been resting after some training when she heard the announcement for everyone to head over to the meeting room. She huffed, tempted not to go. After a few moments of hesitation, she decided that the information may actually be important and got up. Walking to the meeting room, she would, if necessary, push her way to a point she could see, muttering to herself. "This better be damn well important." She had a feeling it wouldn't really be important to her.

Ryo stood there atop the balcony and watched as everyone showed up. There were a lot of new faces in the guild. Faces that Ryo didn't recognize. One face he had wanted to see but didn't was that of Ian his love, but he was sure that Ian was just at home with Gora busy doing something else. As for everyone else he simply looked down at them counting who was here and who wasn't. When asked by Mary what it was about he cleared his throat "I will tell everyone in a moment." he said simply.

With Emilia, and Eien's arrivals he inhaled deeply and spoke "Thank you all for coming. As some of you may know I am Ryo the Knight of Chance here in Sabertooth. For those of you who don't know me personally I hope to remedy that in the future. I have called you all to tell you that leadership of the guild will be changing for the foreseeable future. Master Zenshin has departed to deal with things that he must deal with. He has not told me what, he does not know when he shall return, only that he plans to return. Until such a time as he does he wishes for me to lead our guild and keep it flowing steady and strong. Even help it to grow."

He takes his hat off and holds it in hand "I view everyone in this guild as my family, and I give you my word that I will fight to keep this guild whole. Once Zenshin returnes he will find we are still as stong as when he left. If any of you need my help feel free to come and ask at any time. Thank you all for your time, and if you have any questions I shall take them now."

'Really now?' Coming all the way from the back a cold voice pierced through the atmosphere of the guild. And if people diverted their attention towards that source they would see Frederick, a man whose entire appearance mostly remained safely hidden under the shroud of a hooded cloak.

'Just like that? Zenshin is gone and you are here to take his place? Expecting us to just follow you blindly... No, Ryo ace of chance. Until you can actually back up that claim, I refuse to acknowledge this'

In the guild Zenshin was the only one who Frederick actually had some respect for, even if he'd never showed it. But hearing that he'd suddenly left to attend some matters on his own, infuriated Frederick. So he did the only thing he knew, and that was unleash his own agitation on Ryo himself. Someone Frederick didn't know how to follow. And how could he? With Zenshin he shared at least some sort of bond, it wasn't a good one but still it was something they'd alone had together. And now there was Ryo, claiming Zenshin's place.

The man i back had been quite stern, to the point that Eien walked up to him. she cocked her head and looked him up and down. he seem different than all the others in the room, almost like he did not belong. Eien straightens up and walk up to him completely. "welp i guess im with you not really sure what going on but you seem like someone who knows wisdom so im on your side." she smiles slightly and leans against the wall, growing 2 inches as she does as well as growing a pair of wings, that she uses to cover herself up better.

Marik heard what happened, he didn't believe that Zenshin disappeared like that, but he did believe that he left Ryo as the temporal leader.
A shade appeared from behind of the people, when he turned around, he saw a weird guy with a big cape that didn't let him be seeing, but what he said was what made Marik kind of angry. The kid turned around and gave some steps to both mags that were against Ryo "What?! You don't believe him?! You need to be kidding me! Ryo is a knight because of something! If Zenshin is not here its because of his reasons, this happens a lot... I think we should trust him... And respect him as our guild leader" Becky gave a step back like if she didn't know Marik, then the slayer whispered at her "What are you doing?" the red haired girl laughed a bit "He seems to be powerful... I think I won't speak against him..."

"... M... Mr Zenshin's gone too..."
Aayla couldn't help but clench her fists at the announcement, grabbing hands full of her clock as she listened to what Ryo had to say. She had never met him before in her entire stay here... so how could she believe that this man would just take over for someone she held so dear? Her thoughts where quickly echoed by a man she had come to know... to some degree. She listened to his words, and bit her lower lip gently as she mulled them over in her mind. 

However, as soon as he had spoken, she could see people quickly taking sides and she glanced from Frederick, to Ryo, mulling over her next words carefully before she stepped forward to speak, taking a deep breath to try and stop herself from stuttering through the whole thing.

"Guys... I don't think picking fights or choosing sides is the right thing to do right now. Mr Zenshin means a lot to me, and I know he wouldn't leave the guild without good reason, and he wouldn't leave us all alone... he would leave us with someone he trusted to do the right thing..."
At that, her eyes darted to Ryo, offering him a small smile before glancing back at Frederick. She wanted to believe that Ryo was making everything up, that Zenshin would come strolling through the door at any time... but if he wasn't... then she had to do her part in keeping her family together... Sabertooth couldn't divide like this...

He stood close to his sister as Ryo explained the situation. It was weird to Cirven because not too long ago he had just gotten to meet Ryo and now was being told that the man would be filling in for the Sabertooth guild master, Zenshin. Was it some sort of ironic fate or just dumb coincidence?

That all didn't matter much to him though. What mattered was Sabertooth and the well being of the guild that he called home. Like his sister he had a connection to the guild through their father and felt that it was his duty to make sure that it grew stronger.

A voice came out from behind the group that Cirven barely remembered from a job he had done. "Fredirck.." He spoke out the name under his breath. The man who had joined Sabertooth after leading a dark guild. Cirven didn't know what to think of the man. On one side of things he didn't like how Fredrick spoke to others but on the other he didn't want to prevent him from repenting from his past.

Marik, the Ice Dragon Slayer that Cirven had spoke to shortly spoke out from the group against Fredrick's words. He sounded as though he had put all of his faith into Ryo after meeting him one time. A feminine voice spoke out from behind Cirven and caused him to turn around. Cirven couldn't exactly hear what she was saying over the sight of what she was wearing. His eyes kept wandering at first and he shad to stop himself from just gawking at the girl.

The voice of his sister snapped him out of looking at the girl and back to the matter at hand. She was right with what she said. "We should trust Master Zenshin in his judgment. Ryo doesn't sound like the type of guy to let the guild just root away anyways and he was picked as one of the knights for a reason. Ryo should be given a chance to at least show what he can do before we judge him worthy." He hoped his words along with his sister's would persuade the others to think similarly. The last thing they needed was a feud over who should be in control.

"Well said Cirven" a man said said, coming from the doorway, wearing a loose coat and walking slowly into the guild hall. "Hello and welcome to our noble guild to you new faces, quite the timing you have since I'm going to be away for a while for reasons relating to researching dragons more in-depth than I believe anyone has. BUT! This doesn't mean I'm going to be gone forever." he began, walking through the guild and looking towards the new members and then Frederik. "Ryo will be leading the guild in my absence, and I expect all of you to treat his word as you would mine. We don't fight within the guildhall Frederik, if your really want to fight, take it to the arena. It won't change anything but your mood, however." he said before finally looking at and approaching Ryo. Zen leaned in and whispered in his ear, "sorry for springing this on you so last-minute. Thank you for this, you've done the guild a great service by taking this responsibility, but don't think you won't be taking you S-Ranked exam the second I get back, so I suggest you prepare" he whispered before turning to address the crowd that'd gathered to listen to Ryo. "Before I go, if anyone has questions to ask me or requests, now's the time"

Raven sighed standing not too far behind everyone as the sudden news got most gasping and whispering to each other. In her opinion, she had only met Ryo once and even from that brief encounter, she knew he wasn’t someone that could be walked all over on. When Frederick spoke up, Raven who was standing a few feet behind him shook her head with a grin. Leave it to someone like him to say something like that, she thought looking back at Kuroe who shrugged and flew off to get something to eat. She couldn’t help but think the change in leadership was not such a big deal either. Zenshin must have a reason for what he is doing. So, if he had decided to leave Ryo in charge, what’s wrong with that? As long as Sabertooth remains the guild she always remembered it to be, she didn’t mind the change in leadership at all. With that thought, she stalked off, having to prepare for the concert in her lovely guild.

Ryo watched the events unfold and he was baffled by what he saw. He knew that Fredrick would give him the only true voice of anger and contention, but he had no idea that he thought Ryo was out to just convince with blind faith. He did have the letter written in Zenshin's own hand. Then again Ryo remembered that it probably wouldn't be enough for the other S rank mage.

He was about to speak when others began to join in the arguement, but much to his surprise and his great honor they were all voices calling for him to take up the cup that had been placed before him. They were votes of confidence. This was what Ryo needed to help him decide that he would indeed step into the roll he was asked to perform. Still when Zenshin appeared Ryo almost had a heart attack. he wondered if the appearance of the guild master would cause him to come into question, but it seems that Zenshin really did call upon him to lead in his absence.

As Zenshin whispered his warning to Ryo, it caused him to smile his confidence returning "No trouble master Zenshin. I will be ready. I hope you can say the same." he said flowing with confidence in himself. With Zenshin's in the flesh approval Ryo had all he needed to go confidently in the roll he was given.

Emilia frowned and let out a grunt of annoyance at the announcement, though not because of the change in leadership. She was more annoyed that she had interrupted her rest for this crap. Especially when some cloaked mage came in protesting to that. Really? Who freaking cares. It's not like this Ryo guy was going to change much. Even if he tried, Zenshin would probably just undo it when he got back. Even if he did change things, Emilia wouldn't care. As long as jobs and money kept going her way and she her freedoms weren't restricted, she was perfectly happy. If something changed that she didn't like, she would just leave, simple as that. "All this fuss over a temporary change in leadership? Who the hell cares?" She walked off, muttering to herself in annoyance about being surrounded by idiots. She had no doubt it was this sort of crap that made her father choose to be guildless.

When Marik spoke he made sure he ended up on Frederick's bad side, mostly he spoke out directly against Frederick. Which he couldn't stand, something that still lingered from his time back at Savage Skull. There as a leader nobody dared to speak against him, most members would diverted their gaze away from Frederick when he entered the main hall.

So after Marik's words, Frederick diverted his gaze towards him. Which would be impossible to see because of the hood that shrouded most of his face in a dark shadow. However his feelings where as clear as daylight, and you didn't have to be a mindreader to feel Frederick's anger.
However before Frederick could speak out towards the young man other spoke up as well, most of them with a more neutral perspective on the situation. Stating clearly that in times of change they had to stick together.
While an other person, someone Frederick hadn't met before took place besides him. A young girl with white hair, that agreed with his words. And clearly didn't mind showing it the other members. Pleased with her opinion Frederick silently nodded towards her as a sign of acknowledgement.

But the biggest turn of events was the appearance of someone thought long gone by now, the guild master Zenshin. Whom directly addressed Frederick himself, knowing that the former dark mage couldn't and wouldn't refuse any words directly coming from the Sabertooth legend.

'... fine I'll abide... for now..' he said rather reluctant, but not without adding a few ominous last words while he walked off.
