Meeting of the fairy and the tiger (Cirven and Sakura)

Sakura stood in the middle of the bustling streets of Clover town. It seems that today they were having some sort of market. A very large one. With lots of people. The small white haired girl sighed, she had lost her exceed somewhere in the crowd whilst making their way back home and was now all alone in the middle of a place she didn't know well.
The crowds of people continued to push her around for a few more minutes before she slowly made her way off the main street and found a bench to sit on. She couldnt ask for help, she was too shy to do that. And she knew if she found her exceed that it would be angry with her for getting into such a state and not enjoying her time the town before they managed to find each other once again. Well I could waste a few hours here, Sakura thought whilst resting her head on the side of the bench. The sun beat down on her small frame as she watched the crowds of people walk by.

The blue-haired part demon had found himself in Clover Town after a small trip to the area to visit his foster parents but traveled all the way for no reason after finding out they moved. He tried not to be annoyed at the situation because it was his fault for not keeping in touch with them. "Pops was always the type to not stay in an area long..." He sighed as he moved towards a lively crowd that blocked his way.

With a groan of annoyance he tried to make it through the crowd and was reminded of the time when he had gotten his passport. He quickly reached up to his ears and held them. "No little kid is going to mess with my ears again!" He spoke out to himself and went unheard by others around him due to all the commotion.

The path he carved somehow lead him out of the crowd and onto a bench that was occupied by a silver haired girl. He sat down and watched the crowd move in front of him. "This crowd is really in the way of me getting home! Whats with all these people anyways. Its like someone famous was near by or something." He had spoke out and forgot that there was someone next to him."Oh sorry. I'm sure you don't want to here me complain."

Sakura froze as a blue haired boy sat down next to her and began speaking. She didn't know what to do or say as he complained about the crowds and then apologized. She noticed, as he spoke, that he had long, elf like ears. She resisted the urge to poke them, knowing that it would probably make him uncomfortable.
"Nice to meet you," She finally managed to say, even if she said it so quietly that he could barely hear her and she was staring at the ground, it was a start. Long silver strands of ribbon adorned hair hid her face from view as she stared at her feet. "I am Sakura."

He barely heard her speak and probably would not have if it wasn't for his heightened senses. He raised an eyebrow at her in confusion. He never had much trouble just speaking his mind to others and was used to most people replying back to his comments even if they stuttered them out like how his teammates sometimes did. He thought that the silver-haired girl next to him was something of a similar case.

"No need to be so shy Sakura. I'm not the type to bite or anything even though I usually say things before I take the time to think them through." He chuckled a little in hopes to help ease the nervousness she had. "So yeah, what brought you here or do you live here?"

Sakura looked up slowly at the boy next to her, their size comparison was extravagant (Sakura had always been small for her age), before answering "Just visiting," Although it was a simple reply, it took all Sakuras courage. She thought of the boys kind words about her not needing to be shy, "I live in magnolia."

She still seemed to be somewhat shy but at least she wasn't speaking as low as she had been earlier. He was sort of surprised his words helped her become more confident so quickly. "Magnolia, huh? I used to live just outside of there awhile back." Thoughts of his mother crossed his mind for a second.

"But now" He then moved his right arm so she could see the red symbol of his guild that was on his shoulder. "I live in the Sabertooth guildhall." He grinned with a sort of pride as he showed her the symbol.

The boys pride seemed to seep out of him as he showed her his red Sabertooth guild mark. Sakura remembered when she was choosing which guild to join she almost chose Sabertooth, however in the end she joined Fairy Tail. "I am a mage Fairy Tail," she was too shy to fill her voice with pride as he had done, she swept her hair to the side (careful not to knock her barrette) and pointed awkwardly in between her shoulder blades where her own guild mark lay"Its white." She brushed her hair back into its original place and fidgeted, wondering why the boy was still speaking to her- not many people bothered.

He was surprised such a shy girl was a mage from Fairy Tail. He was mostly surprised she was a mage at all from the mages he was used to dealing with but he again remembered how the nun on his team acted and started to think that it was a possible trend with some of the younger girls. "It looks cool. That is a weird place for a guild mark though. What made you get it there?"

He looked at her and tried to figure out what type of magic she could use. He hoped that she wasn't so similar to Kiersa that she also used the same sacrificial magic. "What type of magic do you use? I am a-"

He was cut off suddenly by the sound of a gun shot. The crowd of people started to run all around and away from an area not too far away from the bench the Fairy and the Tiger sat at. Cirven quickly got up from the bench. "What was that?!" He said but didn't waste much time before running against the crowd to find a group of four men with guns. One of the men aimed his gun at a man who was on the ground in front of them. "I won't miss twice. Someone wants you dead and is paying us for it. So as the leader of the Guelito Gang we will be taking your life now."

"Hey! What are you doing!? Who shoots a gun in the middle of a crowd of people!? You idiots!" Cirven used his speed to run up and get between the man and the group of four men. He lit his hand in his white flames and then spoke. "Trying to kill someone who can't even defend himself? Thats pretty sad."

"And who the hell are you to get in the way of me doing my job?!"

The boy looked surprised to find that she was in Fairy Tail, Sakura understood- Fairy Tail was a guild full of loud and rowdy people, she had neither of these traits. "It looks cool. That is a weird place for a guild mark though. What made you get it there?"
"It is not the typical place for a guild mark," Sakura didnt try to be unique, it just came naturally.
The blue haired boy was just about to say something else when suddenly a gun shot could be heard from near by. Sakura looked around in alarm and saw a crowd of people around where the gun shot seemed to have come from. The boy next to her got up immediately and ran into the chaos of the crowd, pushing past the people running around madly. She watched as he disappeared into the mist of the crowd.
Sakura sat frozen on the spot for a few seconds, she could hear the boy shouting at the gunners and the gunners shouting back, she didnt know what to do?
Before she realized it, her feet were on the ground and she was moving towards the center of the crowd. People pushed and shoved to get a better view of the people in the middle, making it hard for her to reach the gun men.
When she finally reached the center circle of people she saw a group of men armed with guns facing a man on the floor and the blue haired boy. Sakura positioned herself by the boys side wordlessly and pulled out her tarot cards.

"I'm just a slayer of demons that thinks you should give up on this contract. This man can't even defend himself against you after all." He watched from the corner of his eye as the Fairy Tail mage he had just met ran up beside him silently. He gave her a nod and returned his focus onto the gang of four men.

"Grr.. Not only one but two people are in our way now?! In the way of Guelito! Some chump like you being a slayer of demons?! Do you think that a false threat like that will scare me?!" The same man from earlier spoke. Guelito wore sunglasses and had weird haircut where the sides of his head were bald but the middle and top had hair. The others with him had weird haircuts and styles also.

"Like I said." Cirven placed his hand over the hilt of his katana. "You guys should be on your way." He spoke low to Sakura after. "Be ready to run." He knew that the group was not going to listen.

Guelito started to look like he was fuming and his men started to mimic his anger. "Looks like we will have extra bodies to get rid of boys! Mow them down!"

Cirven quickly moved and picked up the man from the ground and ran behind a nearby wall so that he could keep the fear filled man safe. "Stay here and wait." The man nodded and didn't speak. He seemed to be too scared to do much from the shock of everything.

The gang kept firing towards where he was but that didn't stop him from jumping out from behind the wall and taking a deep breathe and holding it. Some white flames escaped the sides of his mouth as he waited for the perfect time before releasing it. "Flame Demon's Rage!!" White flames shot from Cirven's mouth and caught two of the men inside of them while the others managed to avoid being hit by jumping away.

Sakura watched in amazement as white flames erupted from the pointy eared boy. She had heard his spell but surely she misheard. He was a demon slayer? Wow. The had never seen this type of magic before, she had only read about it in books and heard rumors of its power. He managed to take out two of the guys with a single blow, the only reason her didnt take out all of them was because the others jumped out of the way. "Strong," Sakura whispered to herself whilst watching the two men drop to the floor.
Well if he is fighting, she thought, so am I.
She pulled three tarot cards from the bag slung across her shoulder. The cards were 'Lighting', 'reverse towers' and 'lovers'. She fanned them out and held them out in front of her then whispered "Jolt of fate." As soon as she said the words, yellow bolts of lighting struck the group of four men in front of them. Their bodies flinched as the electric currents an through their bodies and threw them to the ground. Sakura werent sure if her magic was strong enough to knock the men out- after all she is only a D-rank mage- but she still felt satisfaction with her work.

"Boss! He wasn't lying! He just took out Lyser and Howard with some white flames!" Guelito growled in anger at the sight of two of his men laying unconscious with white flames burning the ground around them. "Don't worry about them and keep shooting you idiot! We already spent too much time in giving the-"

He was cut off as he heard the voice of the girl speak out her spell which instantly sent bolts of lightning crashing into the last two Guelito gang members. It wasn't as strong as the earlier blast attack from the pointy eared slayer but it did distract them long enough for Cirven to move close to them without worrying about being shot at.

"Good one Sakura! I'll finish them here!" Cirven spoke out as he charged the two men who were still dealing with the pain from the electricity. He placed his hand on the hilt of his blade and pulled it out quickly in a slash across the ground in between the two men. Guelito smiled as he started to move his gun up to shoot at Cirven. "You didn't even hit me you idiot! Die!" Before he could fire flames erupted in a blade like form out from the cut in the ground Cirven had caused and engulfed him and his last partner. "Purge Art: Lustration." Cirven watched as the flames hit them and then made sure they were both unconscious after.

"Pretty sure that the authorities will be coming soon for these guys. I don't know if we should be here when they do just in case we get in trouble for fighting." He looked at the area where his flames had hit. "And it looks like my flames might have damaged more than just the enemies here..." His flames had hit some nearby stands for food and other things.

Sakura crouched down and poked the unconscious man by her feet, wondering if he was dead. The demon slayer had not exactly held back when attacking the group of men, however the blow was very effective and saved them both.
The crowds of people had returned and Sakura and Cirven were now the main centers of attention. Everyone wanted to know what had happened and who these two mages were and which guild they were from. Sakura didnt really like the attention and ignored everyone who tried to speak to her or give her praise, instead she made her way back to Cirvens side and attempted to hide behind him.
"Th-Th-Thank you," The man who the two had saved from the men pushed through the crowd and bowed at them, "Y-you s-saved me." The man was clearly grateful and no doubt embarrassed he had had to be saved by two random mages. Sakura gave a single nod in response.

He smiled awkwardly towards the crowd that had swarmed around them. He was sort of nervous with so many people around them and not having a way to get away from them. They praised him and Sakura for dealing with the Guelito Gang.

"I..It was nothing really." He reached up and scratched his head as the crowd continued to praise them. The man that they had saved found his way to them and gave his own thanks. "Don't worry about it. You should wait for the-"

"Whats happening here?!" A voice cut Cirven off before he could finish as a small group of officers came onto the scene and moved through the crowd. One of them wore a silver badge with multiple ribbons and pins. He looked to be the chef officer and spoke out to figure stuff out. "Oh? The Guelito Gang has been dealt with by these two kids? They are mages?!" The chef officer replied back as others in the crowd told him what had happened.

He then moved towards the two mages causing Cirven to cringe slightly at the thought of being arrested for the damages he had caused. The officer then stopped and put out his hand for both of the legal mages to shake. "We owe you our thanks then for dealing with these men. We have been trying to subdue them for some time now." Cirven looked at the hand in front of him and reluctantly shook it. "Yo...You're welcome."

Sakura pushed through the crowds, this was quite easy as she was significantly smaller than the people surrounding her. Being asked questions and getting praise for something she barely did was starting to get really annoying now, and she didnt want to say this to the people. They were also pressuring her to speak which upset her deeply.
She made her way back to the bench where the two mages had first met and waited for the tiger to come out of the crowd. He seemed to be engaged in a conversation with the local patrol officer, both looked rather tense however the officer also looked grateful. Sakura smiled, knowing that the boy would be worried about all the damaged he had caused in the fight.

He turned his head to introduce the girl who had helped him but turned to look at nothing but the air and the ground that was behind him. "She left me alone.." He turned back to the officer and smiled. "I'm happy I could help sir. Oh by the way those goons caused so much of a mess here of things and destroyed some stuff too!" He hoped his lie would get him off somehow but it seemed like he wouldn't be at fault for the damages anyway with how happy the crowd was.

A man with a camera had come out of nowhere and asked Cirven to stand with the officers with some of the crowd behind them. Cirven reluctantly obliged but wished that Sakura didn't disappear. It was just as much a celebration for her.

After speaking to the officer's more and taking more pictures he was able to get away from the scene and find Sakura at the bench they met at. "Was wondering where you went. Why did you leave? Those people were happy for what we did to help them, you know?"

Cirven eventually departed from the crowd and made his way back to the bench to sit next to Sakura. He asked her why she left the crowd, he seemed to be slightly disappointed although Sakura did not understand why. Maybe he liked the attention. "They were trying to get me to speak," She mumbled uncomfortably, she had always opened up to people in her own time and found that when people pushed her she recoiled and didn't speak to them at all.
The photographer had edged nearer the bench and was trying to get a shot of the two mages. Sakura lifted looked down so that her long hair hid her face from view. "Its embarrassing."

He smiled at Sakura's nervousness with the situation. She reminded him of the time after his mother had died. He was to himself and didn't want to be bothered with anyone then. "I can understand where you are coming from. I really can but we are mages. We are able to do things others can't and with that we can protect those who can't do it. People like the ones around us." He motioned to the camera man to not bother them with his pictures and then sat down at the bench.

"All they want is to say thank you even if it is in some weird way with the cheering and picture taking."

The things Cirven said made the girl realize she had been wrong all this time, she had never thought about the situation the way he had just shown her. It was refreshing. Sakura looked up ans smiled at the tiger, he was possibly the nicest person she had met so far during her time as being a mage of the guild Fairy Tail. "I see," she nodded happily at her blue haired companion, "I noticed you are a demon slayer... That is very powerful magic. You are the first slayer Ive ever met."

He was happy that his words helped the girl find a way to come out of her shell more. It was still a surprise that he was able to do it but his time with his teammates had shown him that he could make an impact on others. "You should try smiling more. Its a good look for you." He grinned at her.

"I'm your first slayer? That makes sense really. Most people aren't slayers because the magic isn't something you just learn. Especially from the things a slayer learns them from. Like who would think a demon would teach someone magic in order to kill them." He laughed and thought of his own mentor for his training.

Sakura blushed at his comment about her smile, she didnt see the comment in a specific way it is just that people never give her positive comments.
Cirven laughed as he spoke about his magic, it was rather funny imagining a demon teaching someone magic. Especially when the stereo type of a demon was that it was evil. Sakura smiled at her companion once more.
The crowds were parting once again and the photographer had left the two alone, much to Sakuras relief. After a few moments of silence the small girl asked the blue haired boy "Why are you so friendly?" realizing this wasnt enough information she spoke once again "I mean you kept on speaking to me when I barely said anything and you approached me before we even knew each other."

He chuckled lightly at her questions. He barely knew why he did it himself at first. Maybe it was the fact that he was bored or maybe because he just wanted to vent his annoyances to someone. He knew it really wasn't any of those though. "You looked lonely and like you needed a friend. Plus after seeing that you didn't talk much I though I would help you with speaking your mind more and look at how that turned out." He couldn't help but laugh. "In the past I learned that silence was a cry out for help at times. Least thats what my sister helped me learn."

Sakura nodded thoughtfully, he had never mentioned his sister before, then again the topic of family had never come up in any of their conversations so why would he say that anyway.
"Sakura where have you been!" a familiar voice cut sounded from not so far away. A white exceed came flying into view, she was wearing various items of purple clothing.
"Ebony?!" Sakura was surprised to see her friend had found her and waved at her.
"I have been searching for you for the past few hours! Where have you been? What have you been doing-" Ebonys bossy rant ended abruptly as she saw the boy sitting next to Sakura. "And who do you think you are?" Ebony sniffed, she didnt approve although it was nice to see Sakura socializing.
"This is Cirven." Sakura mumbled, she hadnt been expecting Ebony to be angry with her.
"Well. Nice to meet you Cirven but we must be going now, Say good bye Sakura," Sakura did as she was told then ran after her exceed who was now flying off tutting about how irresponsible she was.
Today was fun Sakura thought as she caught up with her friend and smiled to herself.

He almost grabbed his katana hilt to the surprise appearance of the exceed coming out of nowhere and calling to Sakura. He had been trained to do so when he felt threatened and with the randomness of most things he usually always felt threatened. "Hi.. You cat thing that talks..." He was surprised at first but figured there was a lot of things magic could do so he accepted it.

"Yeah. I should be going too. Got to get back to the guild hall before my sister thinks I left her again." He rose up from the bench and stretched. He started to walk off and gave a wave to her as he looked back. "It was a lot of fun. Hope to see you again."
