The Dragon and the Cat (Chloe and Rose)

Rose looked at Chloe with a bit of sympathy "When what happened?" she said as she responded to Chloes seriousness by Placing a hand on her shoulder and giving her a warm and concerning smile. Chloe was the first friend she had had in a long while and she was willing to do anything to keep that friendship.

She wanted to lean her head on Chloe seeing as she was cute but she didn't want to lose herself yet. Even though she had a girlfriend she tended to lose herself although never going to far.

Chloe thought about that moment and became very depressed. She leaned her head on the shoulder of Rose seeking a friend as she explained this. It was true that Chloe hoped Rose would be more than a friend, but she doubted she would return her feelings. She thought about that day and said, "I failed, I failed at my own magic and paid for it. He gave his life to save me after that. He gave his life, for these gloves." She said holding up her white pair of gloves keeping her alive. She teared up slightly, still sad at what happened that day, and the events after that, where she had to escape death twice.

Rose closed her eyes and smiled when Chloe leaned her head on her shoulder. She listened to Chloes story with her eyes watering up. She could tell Chloe's sorrow on this matter so she reacted the only way she knew how.

She turned to Chloe and pulled her into a hug. She didn't let go of Chloe for a while but when she did she squeezed Chloe and back away with a warm smile "I am glad you could share that with me..." she muttered. She was happy that she finally had a friend.

Chloe smiled when Rose hugged her, to which she instantly hugged back. She thought of having a friend who could hear something like that, to which she smiled. Once Rose backed away, her mind went back to her past and she started crying again, still feeling in need of a friend.

Rose frowned a little at the girl crying in front of her. She picked the girl up and placed Chloe so she could give her a piggy back ride "I am taking you to go get ice cream..." she muttered as she walked out the guild doors and into the streets of Magnolia.

Of course the two of them were getting weird stares but Rose was used to it seeing as she always seemed to get stares from people.

Chloe was unsure what was happening through her tears and only found out when she was hoisted up onto Rose. She was about ready to say that she is small but not a child, but was a bit sad for that. She thought about the days she spent with her master and all of the fun times they had as he raised her. She decided to just be whisked away in the childlike spectacle and accept it for now with a small smile on her face.

Rose closed her eyes and sighed as they walked because she had realized that Chloe was about the same age as her so she placed Chloe on her feet and grabbed her wrist "We are almost there Chloe." Rose said as she pulled her along.

Once they reached the ice cream place she payed for both Chloe and her own Ice cream. She handed the Ice cream to Chloe and sat down at a bench so she could look up at the sky. She lay on the bench and calmly looked up at the sky with a smile "You know Chloe... I have had fun today..." she muttered as she scooted down so Chloe could have room to sit.

Chloe smiled when she was given ice cream and ate it with a smile on her face. Normally she would have paid for herself, but for now, her mind was elswhere and she did not care. She smiled when Rose sat down on the bench and said that she enjoyed the day. Chloe absent mindly sat, not looking where she did, but ended up on Rose's lap. Again she decided to go with it and chill there.

Rose smiled when Chloe sat on her lap. Even though she had a girlfriend she would still tease people when she got the chance.

She chuckled a little as she wrapped her arms around Chloe and squeezed gently "You dont want to fall now do you?" she said with a whisper as she kept her position like that. If Chloe didn't like it she would stop but Rose herself was having a bit of fun with this and felt happy.

Chloe then realized what she was doing and decided that she would stay like that. She smiled when she had her hands wrapped around her and leaned back, feeling at ease. She smiled and closed her eyes relaxed and put on the best childish voice saying, "Okay Miss..." she was very relaxed for once and was enjoying this time with a very pretty cat girl.

When Chloe kept sitting she smiled warmly and rested her head on Chloes shoulder. The sun was setting at this point and Rose smiled and chuckled warmly "Hey Chloe... The sky look beautiful doesn't it?" she said with a soft tone. The sky was painted bright orange with a bit of pink and red here and there.

She liked having a friend that did this with her. She closed her eyes "Finally I have a friend..." she muttered as she tightened her hold on Chloe gently.

Chloe smiled when she was on the lap of her new friend, very excited to have a person like this. She smiled and looked at the sky as she played with Rose's ears, "Yeah it is. But these ears are prettier." Chloe smiled when Rose called her a friend and said, "Forever and Ever."
