Name: Vet’Mar I’Solect VII aka. “Gaia”
    Gender: Male
    Age:
    Birthday: 4th April
    Sexuality: Straight
    Special Characteristics:
Gia has a birthmark on his back that was created through ancient magic. A birthmark that is a symbol of the royal family of Babylus- a desert empire, not depicted on any map. It is an intricately designed Scarab littered with inscriptions in the ancient form of his native tongue – the oath of the Emperor.

    Personality:
Being born into the royal family of Babylus, Gaia was raised to behave as such. But unlike conventional nobility the royals of Babylus have an ethic code. An oath to the people that they were taught to uphold. That oath is to him –as it was to his ancestors – the holiest of Holy Scriptures. As such Gaia’s personality was strongly influenced by it.
The first promise of the oath was the promise of kindness. The Royals must be fair and friendly to their people, regardless of race, occupation, beliefs or stature. And so the young prince became a person accepting of all. His ability to tolerate differences in opinion and belief make him an understanding person, open to all. If he can he will help to the best of his abilities. Gaia is not short of reason however! It may be a ruler’s duty to listen to his subjects, but it is also his duty to act within reason. If something is too illogical or risky he would carry the responsibility for his decision. Thusly he also acts justly, not deeming anyone to be guilty until proven otherwise. An emperor’s duty is to his people; as such he is given power. With power comes responsibility which Gaia learned to take on at an early age. No decision is made without thorough thought…but his emotions still get the better of him quite often…
The second promise of the oath was the promise of protection. It applies not only to the citizens of Babylus, but also to its guests and allies. An emperor does all in his power to defend his people, their land and their companions. This promise forged Gaia’s instinct to protect those in need and those closest to him – true virtue of selflessness. It is also here where his emotions often get out of control. Where he acts according to his misguided heart, fueled by anger. For this promise also dictates that he vanquish all that wish to destroy/harm/disrupt Babylus and its teeming life. In a furious rage he may forget the rest of the ancient oath and become that which embodies his exact opposite – an executioner without moral.
The third and final promise is the promise of honor. An emperor may not lie, deceive, betray or extort his people in any way. Honesty and loyalty are Gaia’s most outstanding traits, aside from his protective instinct. Unless it is to vanquish an enemy, he has never told a lie or deceived those allied to him…nor will he ever. Part of this promise is also the act of honoring his country’s traditions. Ancient beliefs, laws and rituals are integral to his people’s identity. And thus Gaia’s tie to the old ways is strong.
