Take Care Of My Baby! [Private job: Ace and Obel]

Ace sat outside on a bench across from a noodle stand eating a bowl of Special Fry Udon, Stella sat next to him with a half eaten serving of a Tofu Stir Fry when she turned to look at Ace as a bead of sweat ran down her head watching him scoff down his food "You look like a pig when you eat like that." Ace mumbled trying to eat and speak at the same time only to be hit on the head with the back of her chop sticks "Don't speak when you are eating you simpleton!" Ace swallowed the mouthful he was chewing before wiping his mouth on the back of his left hand and turning to look at Stella "If you don't like how I eat when I need to eat quick then don't look...besides why would you care?"
"SHUT UP! I-It's not like I care about how people see you as or anything." Ace sighed a smile as he watched Stella's little out burst followed by her scoffing down her own food finishing it up, she then looked back him "Hey Ace didn't we have a job to do tonight?"
"Yep,"
"Then why are we out at the noodle stand on the other side of town?"
"Well Stella this is our meeting place with the other person who took on this job."
"Other person?...you know you suck when it comes to getting us solo missions."
"Well at least I try, unlike some people."
A vein on Stella's forehead bulged as she puffed up her cheeks and began to hit Ace repetitively on the head whiling saying the word simpleton over and over again leaving Ace laughing as he began to block the hits with his arm which only angered Stella further.

Obel walked through the streets with her wolf Hinata at her side- if he was with her she found people tended to be less rude to her and most will not push either of them about. They walked through the small crowds of people lingering about the market, night was approaching therefore most were inside eating with their families.
Obel had agreed with the person she was to be working with that they would meet by the noodle stand rather near to where she was now, not that she cared much for noodles- they were too slimy.
The remaining people on the street slowly disappeared as she continued further down the street and silence took their place. A comfortable silence.
Until she heard the familiar arguing further down the street she had been deep in thoughts, but these two people were arguing so loud it was impossible to concentrate on anything else. It seemed, to Obel, that they were arguing over noodles- which means they must be near the noodle stand! A wave of relief rushed over Obel, for a moment there she thought she was losing her way.
"Hello?" Obel called out as she came closer to the bickering.

Ace continued to withstand Stella's onslaught laughing through out it but suddenly had to being it to a stop by snapping his things causing a small flash of golden that acted like a camera but it was only big enough and bright enough to stun Stella when he heard a faint "Hello?" spoken by a familiar voice which he turned to face seeing a familiar face who he had least when they were wearing a black and white diamond checkered knee length dress that has white lace trimmings on its hem, sleeves that reached the bottom of her shoulders and the neckline along with a dress has a large ruby red ribbon across the waist of it which reached just above her knees, knee high lacy white socks and white lolita tea party shoes with bows on them. "Hey Obel what brings you to our neck of the woods." Stella on the other hand had just recovered from Ace's flash looking just as pissed as before she began scolding Ace "ACE YOU DON'T FLASH PEOPLE WHEN OUT IN IN PUBLIC!"
"Okay first off sorry for making a snap-flash, second your not my mother so why do you care how I act in public, thirdly what you are saying and what you are trying to say sound like you are saying two different things one of which I don't do and last but not least hi again Obel!"
"Shud up you stupid jerk face simpleton! Like I care how you act in public! Stop making it sound like I just said something dirty and..." Stella paused as she realised that Ace had said hello to Obel who they hadn't seen since the time they went to get there passports at the Rose Graden. Stella's face now went a noticeable shade if red making her blushing seen now that she was also embarrassed about having an outburst in front of Obel, Stella quickly brought her knees up to her face and buried her face in them through which a muffled "Hi Obel could be heard."

Obel was not surprised to find Ace and Stella sitting before her, only those two could argue loud enough to wake the dead. She stood still as they argued on and on, waiting for it to be over so she could answer Aces question about what she was doing here. From Stellas shouting "ACE YOU DON'T FLASH PEOPLE WHEN OUT IN IN PUBLIC!" it appears that Ace used some sort of magic unexpectedly and either startled or hurt Stella by accident- or on purpose knowing Ace.
When argument was finally coming to an end Obel spoke "I am here to meet up with someone to do a job, not that it matters to you. You may also want to be a bit quieter in public, it is getting late and children may be in bed." She glared at Ace- She would've glared at Stella too but her face was hidden behind her knees. "Unfortunately I cannot leave because this is the meeting place for me and my partner so please be quiet -or leave- before they arrive." Obel walked over to the bench opposite the pair and sat down with a heavy sigh. Hinata the wolf had walked off somewhere in the middle of the conversation and hadnt returned.

"I am here to meet up with someone to do a job, not that it matters to you. You may also want to be a bit quieter in public, it is getting late and children may be in bed." Obel said glaring at him, he was about to protest saying he wasn't the one yelling but decided to remain quiet as he knew Stella was embarrassed after her outburst and he didn't want to make it worse for her "Unfortunately I cannot leave because this is the meeting place for me and my partner so please be quiet -or leave- before they arrive." Ace laughed a little bit "We never asked you to leave Obel and why would we your friend." he told Obel as she walked over to the bench opposite the them and sat down with a heavy sigh, Ace thought about the second thing she said before giving her a friendly smirk "And it seems like we're you partners for this job because here waiting for someone to do a job with tonight. Also you're right we were two noisy and it's my fault after all I was the one who was winding up Stella." Stella still had her face buried in her knees as Ace and Obel spoke and only once they were finished she did bring them down again having calmed down but even though she was still blushing it was still easy to tell she was embarrassed but she still managed to give them both a small smile..

Obel watched as Stella gave Ace and Obel a small smile, she thought Stella was a nice person which was saying something as Obel never really liked people. In fact Obel just didnt really socialize with people that often, which was actually quite embarrassing to admit even if it was just to herself. It was funny how quickly Ace and Stella fell out then made up again, Obel couldn't help smiling to herself. "I assumed it was you who started the argument Ace," She turned around to face in the direction of where their job was supposed to be, "Lets go then, I dont want to be late." Obel was shocked to learn that her partners for this mission were to be Stella and Ace, she couldn't help but feeling a little stupid for not working it out sooner. Without looking over her shoulder to make sure they were coming with her, she walked off.
Obel wasn't quite sure if she was walking in the right direction, but she knew it was somewhere roughly near the house they were to be going to. And she was not- not ever ever ever- going to ask someone for help, especially Ace and Stella. Asking for help also makes you seem weak, Obel thought, and that is something I refuse to be.

"I assumed it was you who started the argument Ace," Obel said to him smiling to herself "Well I just said I did." Ace said smiling back at Stella rolling her eyes, as Obel had got up and turned around to face in the direction of where their job was supposed to be, "Lets go then, I don't want to be late." Ace stretched as he stood up before grabbing a guitar case he had on the ground next to him "It's just around the corner and we have fifteen minuets to get there so don't worry about it." Stella stood up as Obel walked away and turned to Ace "Thanks Ace." She said in a quiet voice so only he could hear him, Ace raised an eyebrow upon hearing this pretending to look confused "Thanks for what? After all I just started an argument to annoy you." he told her smirking giving her a wink, Stella then nodded still looking thankful in her eyes before she then ran to catch up with Obel to walk with her as Ace trailed behind them walking at a slower pace looking at the stars as the slowly began to appear in the sky as the darkness began to show his dimly glowing eyes once more.

Obel walked alone for a minute or two before she heard the light footsteps of Stella next to her, Ace must be tailing behind. A small smile still lingered in Stellas expression that made Obel wonder what had happened in the short time she left the two alone.
As they walked further down the streets Obel suddenly realized something, "Um... Do you know where we are actually going? She whispered to Stella hoping Ace wouldn't hear and make a rude comment. Obel had not realized that she had just been walking down random streets roughly in the direction of the job.
Before Stella could answer Obel recognized a building at the end of the street they had just turned on to. She ran up to it and examined it, was this the right house? Obel pulled the job request flyer out of her pocket (she had taken it from the guild job board) and held it up in front of her. The illustration on the front of the flyer wasnt really that good, however the houses main features were distinguishable. Obel cheered silently in her mind, she had found the right house and not got herself or anyone else lost. Also, no one should've even suspected she hadnt know where the house was earlier.
She looked back at Stella and Ace who were still catching her up "Hurry up!"

Obel walked alone for a minute or two before she heard the light footsteps of Stella next to her, Ace must be tailing behind. A small smile still lingered in Stellas expression that made Obel wonder what had happened in the short time she left the two alone.

She whispered to Stella, who smiled and before Stella could answer her Ace spoke up "It's the house at the end of the street.". Ace smirked and gave Stella thumbs up when she looked back at him looking rather annoyed that he answered the question before she did. Ace caught up with Stella to walk beside her as Obel ran up to the house ahead of them and examined it comparing it to a flyer she took out of her pocket. She looked back at Stella and Ace who were still catching her up "Hurry up!"
"Okay, okay, we are comin', just hold your horses." Ace sighed as the caught up with Obel. When they knocked at the door they were ushered in by their clients before they left a few seconds later telling them their son was in the other room and to put him to bed within the next hour. Upon entering the next room they found an eight year old boy who was about to stab his hand with a fork which was shot out of the boys hand with a bolt of light thanks to Ace. The next hour was more work then it should have been due to the fact Ace began to cause mischief with the boy to prevent him from doing anything inhumane and preventing him from doing anything self harming, though that ended with both Ace and their clients son being scolded by Stella and Obelisk before giving the boy a glass of milk which Stella had spiked with a few herbs and honey to make a sleeping agent and sending off to bed where he fell asleep almost instantly. Sometime later their clients came come and paid them before kicking them out of their house, "Well Obel it's been a blast, take care of your self." Ace said as he began to walk back towards downtown where their house was but stopped and turned around looking back as he waited for Stella to catch up. "Remember don't be a stranger if you are ever in Town come see us, if you ask around the guild hall you will either find us there or be told we are." Upon saying those parting words Stella ran to catch up with Ace as they headed back home.
