Alyia and Yukine second meeting

Alyia was sitting on the edge of the Serene Cliffs kicking her feet back and forth. After spending time in the guild and visiting her partner in his hell hole of a bedroom she felt the need to escape to somewhere high. Somewhere where she could feel free and no longer confined. Hence the reason why she was at the cliffs. With a relaxed sigh the blonde mage closed her eyes and let her top part of her body fall backwards and land in the grass that trimmed the edges of the cliffs. ‘Why couldn’t that jerks bedroom at least have windows,’ Alyia thought with annoyance as she opened her eyes. She looked up at the sky and at the birds that passed above her. How she wished that she could be up there as well. No constrictions no rules. But the world hated her and so she had ended up being something that didn’t have wings. With a more stressed sigh the blonde female closed her eyes once again to listen to the noises around her.

While the birds once chirped peacefully in the sky, the wind blew wildly moments later as a man on a broomstick was chasing other Mages. "Alright broomstick, launch me!" The man declared before the broomstick ejected him high with its rear above the clouds. Whilst in the clouds, the man grinned and chanted. "You who would desecrate this land of the rising sun, with my advent, I, Kichiro Yukine, lay waste with the Sekki, and expel thy vast defilement!" A bright sword appeared in the man's right hand, which caught the wind, and had it encircle the blade for ultimate power. The sword along with the man's descent caused a great stream of light to fall from the sky, which bursted through the clouds, and eliminated the opposition. This was the light of Yukine's ace Regalia: Yato. Yukine called forth the broomstick once more while he was still in the air after the aerial assault, and made it settle him down somewhere safe. The broomstick ended up having Yukine set foot on something he had been to only once before: the Serene Cliffs. "Thankfully we only had to chase those criminals across several landforms. I even had to infuse magic into you so you could travel at high speeds." Yukine panted heavily while he walked around the Serene Cliffs. The battle had taken too long, and he needed to rest.

"A-Alyia!" Yukine cheered, still tired as hell, but happy to see her friend around here. "Alyia, what a lifesaver. I needed someone to talk to after travelling ten thousand miles. Ugh, I don't even get a reward for this; just a smile, basically." Yukine sighed heavily before he healed himself with another Regalia: Hiyori. He also utilized his lineage to erase his wounds, and make him look as though he were completely fine. Yukine proceeded to sit down near Alyia, and look at her positively. "So, how's your day?" Yukine asked. It only took two spells to heal the exhaustion and wounds of travelling ten-thousand miles. Yukine still felt in his heart what it was like to travel that long in the sky, though his appearance made it seem like he had done nothing at all. This was the power of the Regalia.

Alyia was surprised to say the least when she heard the familiar voice of Yukine. She hadn't expected to meet anyone out here by the cliffs. Turning her head to answer Yukine's question Alyia's hair shifted under her. She was still laying down as she answered monotone, "Been pretty okay as an average." The time that she spent on the cliff definitely made up for the guild and her partner's room. Meaning that on average her day had been pretty good. But, now that she had seen Yukine her day had gotten that much better. Though she would never say it. Turning her head back to the sky Alyia closed her blue eyes. "How about you? I know you've traveled far. But on average. How are you?" She could hear the strain in his voice as he talked to her so she knew that he was magically tired. It was good that they ran into each other. 'Stop it! Don't think like that! It's bad enough that he talked to you in a familiar way!' One side of Alyia's brain yelled at her. 'Oh calm down its just one person-' The other side started to argue back. 'Just one person! That's one more person that she feels like she has to protect!! She already has that annoying partner of hers, one is enough!' The other side interrupted. "Shut up!" Alyia spoke softly shaking her head back and forth. She was going crazy. Good thing she was out here on the edge of somewhere tall rather then back at the guild.

"Average, huh?" Yukine clarified, "You're gonna have to teach me what an average day of Alyia's is, someday. I hope it wasn't like our last meeting, because had I not been in a rush, we would've done a lot more." Yukine smiled warmly towards Alyia, and wondered if she wanted to hangout a second time. "So, anything you planned to do today?" Yukine asked, "I thought maybe if you weren't doing anything, that we could go check out what the right of the Serene Cliffs has to offer." Yukine looked up to the sky, and was curious as to why it wasn't so cold or windy where the two rested; so high up above the ground's surface.

"My first idea is that we get some lunch. I've travelled for a long time to get here, and am desperate for something to eat." Yukine wondered what Alyia thought of this, and if she was interested in joining him. The two were on an awkward start in their last meeting, with Yukine trying to teach Alyia how to fly. There was something better about that broomstick, though, and that it was currently comfortable for holding two; not just one. With this, Yukine could teach Alyia how to fly while being airborne, himself.

Alyia kept her eyes closed as she listened to Yukine and his thoughts and ideas. She hadn’t really planned anything for today. ‘Scratch that. I never plan anything,’ the blonde thought realistically. Opening her eye’s Alyia’s blue eyes stared up at the blue sky. Clouds surrounded them but there was not a single cloud above her. Maybe the world decided to be nice to her today. Shifting her eyes so that she could see Yukine out of the corner of her eyes she smirked. “I never plan for anything,” she said as she started to sit up with her blonde hair lifting off the ground as she sat up. “So whatever you want to do I’m up for it.” Turning her head she looked at Yukine with her ever changing blue eyes. “And lunch sounds great.” She hadn’t eaten since early this morning when she had gotten up to watch the sun rise.

With that the short mage stood up with a small frown on her face and brushed off the very little dirt that had accumulated on her clothes. “There is a small place that very little people know about farther down the cliffs. It may be small but the food is still really good.” Alyia reached up above her head with her arms stretching. “It should only take a couple minutes to get there if we walk.” Walking was always Alyia’s first option of transportation ever since she partnered up with Deniel. But, if Yukine wanted to travel another way she would be open to it.

Yukine's smile grew brighter after Alyia accepted his offer. "Perfect! Let's to get something to eat then!" Yukine cheered. He stood up, and used blew the dirt off his clothes away from Alyia. It was strange how when Yukine first joined Eclipse Soul, Kyll had put the fear of God in him. However, after a month, Yukine realized he had only met bright people. He had become truly satisfied, and had formed an ever better family than Sabertooth. Yukine thought for a moment in regards to Alyia's first comment. He skipped it accidentally because he was so focused on lunch. "We'll figure out where to go to next after lunch." Yukine remarked, "If there's anything you like doing, feel free to tell me."

Yukine trusted Alyia that the food in the place she described would be delicious. Yukine didn't care that much about the size of buildings, and so he ignored how the restaurant was a small place, and simply agreed with Alyia on this one. Yukine stretched along with Alyia to prepare himself for the walk before the two started. "A walk is always nice." Yukine commented, "We have plenty of time to talk this way, and have some fun before we arrive." Yukine gave Alyia a light smile after this, and wondered further what she was thinking.

Alyia didn’t know about the talking part but she was glad that Yukine was willing to walk with her. Letting her arms fall at her sides the blonde female looked at Yukine and smirked. She would never admit it but she was somewhat comfortable around Yukine. He was like a brother. Alyia froze. No. She could not get close enough that she would consider him family. With a frown Alyia turned to Yukine and motioned with her head the direction that they would be heading in. She was going to keep her mouth shut until it and her head started to agree. With that the blonde mage spun on her heel and headed in the direction that she motioned that they would be going in. As she started to walk Alyia put her hands behind her head and looked up at the sky. Clouds were still everywhere but above her. It started to annoy her. It just seemed now that the world just wanted to tease her. Alyia long hair brushed against the back of her calves as she continued to walk in the direction of the small restaurant. ‘Besides his idea of fun is not the same as mine.’

As the two walked together, Yukine motioned as to where to go, he thought about what to talk about. "You know, that was the first prank I ever pulled when we last met." Yukine remarked with a warm smile, "Though it must've hurt that innocent man, the feeling was nice. I felt like a kid, living an average childhood, enjoying myself with one of my friends: you." Yukine looked back up at the sky, only to see a strange occurrence. The clouds covered the sky in all but one place, and that place was above Alyia. Yukine laughed and pointed up to the sky. "The sky is being clear just for you. Hopefully that brings some kind of luck." Yukine commented, "When I think of an ideal weather setting, I think of clear skies, a beautiful sun, and soothing wind. So far, two of those occurrences are here. How much do you wanna bet the final one arrives. I'll even pay the bill if the sun doesn't come out." Yukine laughed softly and looked back in the direction of the restaurant. It would still take awhile to get there, but the wait seemed worthwhile, because this was one of the rare times Yukine felt so comfortable starting a conversation.

Alyia rolled her eyes at Yukine’s deduction of why the sky above her was completely clear but she didn’t say anything. She didn’t know how to respond to that, nor did she know how to respond to him considering her a friend. She kept quiet as she walked listening to Yukine ramble on about how he bet that the wind would be soothing and that if it wasn’t he would pay for their meal at Alyia’s little restaurant. “The sky is just taunting me today. It’s not luck," Alyia finally said looking at her blonde companion. “Luck absolutely hates me and so does the world. So why would it be clear right above me if not trying to taunt me.” Alyia knew that the world was out to get her and that was assisting it so she explained that to Yukine..

They had walked for a good 5 minutes before Alyia finally had spotted the small building of the food place. It was near lunch time and she was starting to get hungry. Speeding up her steps just barely Alyia continued to lead the two to the restaurant. Arriving at the building Alyia took a seat at two person table that rested a little bit away from the entrance of the food place. If the sky was going to taunt her and give her blue sky she was going to take full advantage of it.

Yukine sighed heavily in response to Alyia's comment on luck and the world, itself. He turned to her before he gave her a gentle. "I don't hate you." Yukine replied, "Luck will be at your side, someday. It took me awhile to believe this too, but after I met certain people, I knew my luck had changed. I hope the same thing will happen to you, because even if the world hates you, I will be there to assure someone is by your side." Yukine let go of Alyia after his speech, and proceeded with her silently all the way down to the restaurant. Yukine had a guaranteed smile on his face all the way down; a facial expression that told Alyia everything would be okay. The two entered the restaurant, and after Alyia arranged a table, Yukine sat there across from her. That fact that he hugged Alyia earlier had no affect on him, whatsoever. He just felt warm after this sign of compassion. "When we finish eating here, I will show, under my best weather setting, something better than being under the clouds." Yukine remarked.

Alyia hadn’t known what to do when she was suddenly hugged. It had come out of no where and she just didn’t know what to do or how to feel. So instead she shook it off and ignored it. After sitting down Alyia waited for the waiter to come over. Everything that this restaurant made was good, but there was only one thing that she got every time that she came. A chocolate cake. Finally a waiter came over to her and Yukine and handed them their menu’s. Scanning her eyes over the options Alyia found one that matched what she was craving that day. “I’m going to have the lettuce wraps today,” Alyia said as she looked as Yukine, “but honestly everything here tastes good.” She was going to order her chocolate cake after she was done with her wraps. She looked at Yukine, ‘What did he mean when he said something better than being under the clouds?’ She thought. Was he going to let her fly again?

Yukine thought of food to eat when Alyia ordered hers. He bit his lip and stared at the menu for a moment, deeply curious to what item on the menu satisfied his needs most. Finally, he came to a conclusion while the staff stood there. "I will have the beef tortillas." Yukine requested. The waiter took off afterwards, only for Yukine to realize that neither of the two had ordered drinks. "Don't you want a beverage?" Yukine reminded Alyia, "I mean, it's optional, but it's suiting for a meal." The irony followed what Yukine said as two staff members arrived seconds later to place a glass of water each in front of the two. "Sir, your order, along with the lady's will be twenty minutes. Please excuse us." Yukine hesitated to ask what kind of drinks the restaurant had, but the pace of these workers were too quick, and the menus were already off of the table. "So, to elaborate on what I said earlier, we are going to fly again." Yukine mentioned, "The broom can hold two people now, and so I'll let you choose whether you want to sit in the back, or in the front. You can tell the broomstick what to do, while I teach you how to keep the broomstick stable. Before you know it, you will be above the clear skies, and if you want, we can even go somewhere special; somewhere above the clouds, yet still land to settle on." Yukine wondered just how interested Alyia was in flying. Would she try it again, or decline? Albeit, the two had twenty minutes to discuss what they wanted.

Alyia looked at Yukine, had really forgotten to get a drink? Remembering her order Alyia sweatdropped, she had. But she brushed it off, she could ask for one when the waiter came back with their food. Alyia listened to Yukine as she explained to her what he meant by something better than being under the clouds. Alyia’s eyes glimmered. She couldn’t wait. And this time it wouldn’t just be her on the broomstick of incapable trust, Yukine would be there too. She would probably sit in front so that she could see where they they would be going. “I want to go flying again. It was an interesting time, but the overall outcome of it was good.” Alyia looked at the sky through the window it was still clear above where she was. With a groan Alyia let her head hit the table, the world was still taunting her. The only thing that kept her from heading home at the moment was the promise of food and chocolate and the fact that Yukine was going to take her flying.

"I'm glad you liked it!" Yukine cheered, "Believe it or not, I can actually communicate with all of the items I have. With this being said, I made the broomstick promise that you wouldn't have to rely on it to be gentle with you; it'll be gentle, anyway." Whilst Alyia seemed more comfortable conversing with Yukine, Yukine couldn't help but smile politely. This was until he saw Alyia look out the window, however. The sky was still clear, which obviously upset Alyia as Yukine heard her hand hit the table. "Stop hurting yourself." Yukine suggested, his hand placed over the window, "Compared to what we're doing, and the adventures we're gonna have later on, these clear skies are a joke." Yukine gave Alyia a promising smile. Five minutes had passed, at this point.

Alyia listen intrigued to what Yukine had to say about all of his objects she found it interesting that he could talk to all of his items. She was also grateful that he had spoken to his broomstick so that it would be more gentle for her. She was also glad that Yukine was trying to cheer her up. “Thank you Yukine, I’m so used to the world hating me and my luck failing me all the time that I forgot what if felt like to be lucky. Also, thank you for trying to cheer me up.” Alyia could not wait for Yukine’s promise about making the clear sky a joke. Alyia looked out the window again and smirked. She was going to show the world who was boss today. SHe looked outside a bit longer before turning back to Yukine, “What other items do you have?” She asked. The talking to items was very interesting and Alyia wanted to know what other items he talked with. As Alyia asked her question time passed it’s ten minute point.

"You're welcome!" Yukine replied with a warm smile. He grabbed his complimentary glass of water, and took a sip of it. He also removed his hand from the window as it seemed Alyia understood what he said earlier. She may not have been fortunate with the world, but if she kept thinking negatively, how would her luck ever change? Yukine was going to help Alyia show herself that she's superior to the sky, and can literally reach above it. He was glad yet another soul was cheered up by his actions. Yukine loved to see others become just as gleeful as he was.

Alyia asked an interesting question halfway through the wait for their food. Yukine gave a light grin and said "Well, I mostly have swords since that's what I use for battle. However, I also have these two appealing items right here." Yukine extended his hand forward, his palm faced towards the ceiling as upon it, Nora and Rabo appeared. Nora was a pair of glasses, while Rabo was a pair of goggles. "Nora is this pair of glasses, whilst Rabo is this pair of goggles." Yukine commented, "Neither of them can speak to anybody but me even while they are like this. However, if Anita- my wolf- were here, you would see that my items derive from spirits known as Regalia, and Regalia have their own realm to live in, with appearances similar to our own; look they human." Yukine had Nora and Rabo return to his pocket dimension after his explanations of the two. He wondered just how interested Alyia was in his items. Would she be like Viola, and enjoy the realm of Regalia? That was up to her. Yukine, on the other hand, had yet to know about Alyia's magic. "So, what kind of magic can you perform?" Yukine asked.

Fifteen minutes had passed at this point.

Alyia had froze. She didn’t want to tell Yukine about her magic. It seemed to compared to his. With a deep breath Alyia prepared herself for telling Yukine about her magic. “I have Calling Heaven and Hell magic. I know mostly Hell spells that cause pain and misery on people, but I do know a speed enhancement spell and one Heaven spell. Though I hope to learn more heaven spells in the future.” Alyia looked away from Yukine not wanting to see the look on his face that would probably be much like Kazum’s. A look of horror. Looking out the window Alyia noticed that the sky was not only clear where she was but everywhere. There was not a cloud in the sky. It seemed today that the more that she got fidgety or worried the more that they sky got clearer. With a sigh the blonde looked down at the table still not wanting to meet Yukine’s eyes. Yukine was a kind person filled with so much positive energy Alyia could just not take it. How could he do it? She knew that Eclipse Soul had changed him. But she didn’t think that it would change her as much. After all she was still unsure around other people.


The smell of food was caught as the blonde took a breath in. Time had reached it’s 20 minute.

"Heaven and hell magic, huh?" Yukine replied with interest. He laughed softly when Alyia spoke about it, then turned away from him. "Well, if I know you correctly Alyia, I'm sure you use your magic for the greater good, don't you?" Yukine assumed, "Everyone has their own form of magic. You received your magic for a reason, so don't degrade it so much. Your hell magic benefits you by protecting your people. Sometimes, people need to know what they've done wrong through punishment. Your Heaven magic benefits you and your people. It seems we have something in common!" Yukine paused for a moment while the waiting time was at eighteen minutes. "Everybody has their imperfections, Alyia. That's why Eclipse Soul is so cool. You can always confess for your sins, and you will always be forgiven."

The sun appeared in the sky with a glorious presence, while a soothing wind could be seen through the window. "This is my best weather setting." Yukine remarked, though once he said this, the food arrived. Yukine passed Alyia her lettuce wraps, while Yukine grabbed his need tortillas. Both meals came with Caesar salad, coleslaw and French fries. The servers informed the two, however, that the sides were free. Meanwhile, Yukine finally asked the servers for some drinks. "May I have a cherry coke please?" Yukine requested before he looked over to Alyia. Though she looked down, a smirk appeared on Yukine's face. "She will have a chocolate milkshake." Yukine added. Yukine succeeded in grabbing all of the attention from the servers so neither could see Alyia with her head against the table. He was often very good at talking his way through various situations.

Hearing Yukine’s words about chocolate she spun her head around so that she looked at Yukine and no longer out the window. A smirk was decorating his face. A small glint was in Alyia’s eyes. Chocolate. Yukine knew that she loved chocolate from the first time that they had met. With sparkling eyes and a small upturn of her lips the blonde girl sent a silent thank you to Yukine.


Alyia reached down for her lettuce wraps and picked one in her hands. It smelled delicious. Bringing the wrap up to her mouth Alyia took a bite. The taste of teriyaki marinated pulled pork with other marinated vegetables and fresh lettuce enveloped her taste buds. It was amazing. Alyia closed her eyes and let out a deep breath. Chewing the food in her mouth Alyia opened her eyes to see if Yukine was enjoying the food that her had ordered.

Yukine nodded to Alyia's silent form of gratitude. The gratitude did not matter as much as the positivity that expressed itself on Alyia's face. She was no longer distracted by the window, it seemed, though she was engaged in the lunch the two were sharing. It was pretty nice to see, especially since it had taken awhile for the atmosphere to become peaceful. Yukine respected everything about Alyia, and hoped she felt the same way. He saw more potential in their relationship at this point, which he liked as Alyia seemed to become better friends with him every few minutes the two spoke to each other. It even expected the walk the two once had to have a great impact on the lady before him. Albeit, Yukine picked up his beef tortilla, and took a bite. The fact that there was bacon and ham also inside his lunch only improved his day. There was also gravy and cheese curds, which overwhelmingly satisfied his heart. Yukine took a napkin and gently wiped his both before he looked at Alyia. He have her one of his best smiles; a smile that proved he was having lots of fun. "I'm really glad we're here, Alyia!" Yukine commented with pride, "We need to hangout more often!"

Alyia looked at Yukine with a blank expression. She liked hanging out with Yukine, he was a lot nicer than most other people and he made her feel like she was welcome. Brushing a piece of hair out of her face only to have it fall back Alyia smirked. “I’m glad you are enjoying yourself Yukine,” Alyia said as she took another bite of the lettuce wrap finishing off the first one and going on to the second. Taking the first bite out of the second one Alyia noticed that the waiter had come back with their drinks. Spotting her chocolate milkshake Alyia perked up. She put down her wrap and watched as they placed the drinks on the table. As soon as the waiter’s hand left her shake the blonde girl snatched it away and took a small sip. The taste of chocolate on her tongue made her close her eyes and smile. Chocolate never lost its amazing taste.

Yukine laughed softly and patted Alyia on the shoulder. "I hope you're enjoying yourself too." Yukine stated, "Moments like this are even better when both friends are having fun, anyway." Yukine took more small bites from his first beef tortilla until it was finished, then moved onto the next. Coincidentally, Alyia had just finished her first lettuce wrap, which made the two even in their meals. It was immediately after the two finished their first item, however, that waiters approached with their drinks. Yukine thanked them, but then he noticed how Alyia instantly started drinking her treat. "I knew you'd love it!" Yukine remarked before he took a sip of his cherry coke. He was in awe. This restaurant served the best cherry coke Yukine had ever tasted, and in the past, Yukine had gone to many places to drink this beverage. Unlike Alyia, Yukine did not take as much time to get back to his second beef tortilla, only to notice that it was filled with more flavour than the first. Yukine had confirmed that Serene Cliff had the best restaurants he had ever been too, for this beef tortilla was out of this world.

With a smirk growing on her face Alyia looked up from her chocolate drink. “Of course, don’t you remember from last time. I had a chocolate shake then too,” she spoke to Yukine. She took another sip before going back to her lettuce wraps. Taking a bite out of her second one Alyia could not help herself and she hummed. She knew that this place had the best food out of anywhere that she had ever been. She knew that her hum was soft and she could only hope that Yukine had not heard her. acting nonchalantly Alyia reached for her drink and took another sip. The chocolate taste engulfed her mouth and Alyia looked out the window savoring the taste. She saw that the sky was still perfectly clear. She didn’t care though. She had her chocolate, and with that anything could go wrong and she wouldn’t give a care. Besides Yukine had promised that he would take her high enough that the clouds wouldn’t matter.

"See? Had we been able to hangout longer, I would've remembered the shake!" Yukine joked, "Honestly, I just saw a picture of the shake on the menu, and somehow, knew that if I bought it for you, you'd love it. I suppose I was just lucky." Yukine finished his second beef tortilla, and proceeded to eat his third and final piece of food. Again, the tortilla was just filled with extra flavour. Yukine wanted to sing a song to express how fortunate he felt eating this tortilla, but he couldn't. Not only was Yukine a bad singer, but he also did not have the dignity to sing publicly, even if it were for a joke. This is why Yukine kept himself distracted with the beef tortilla, and ate it quickly. He felt piggish for eating the final piece so fast, though it was the smallest, and Yukine was too "in the moment" to consider taking his time. He wiped his mouth with a napkin afterwards, and looked over to Alyia. "When I bring you to this place high in the sky, never get angry about clear skies again, okay?" Yukine clarified, "There are much better things to argue about in this world than a stupid weather setting. You cannot let the environment get the best of you. You have friends like me to take the fuss away, after all." Yukine stuck his tongue out towards Alyia after the last statement, which identified his arrogance. Truthfully, he wasn't somebody that could rid people of hatred, but he could at least try. While he found Alyia nice, he also find the resolution to her problem worthwhile.

Alyia tried not to laugh at Yukine. It took a lot of energy. So distracting herself from the need to laugh she took another bite of her lettuce wrap finishing off the second one and moving on to the third and last piece. But before she picked up the last wrap she grabbed her shake and took another long sip off it. Feeling the chocolate ice-cream drink go down her throat Alyia listened to what Yukine said about the clear skies and not getting angry at them ever again. It probably wouldn’t happen but she nodded anyways. Watching Yukine stick his tongue out at her she had the urge to pull on it. Something that she would probably do to any other person, even Deniel, but she could not bring herself to do it to him. She took another long drink of her shake before going back to her last wrap. Which only took a few moments to devour. Finishing it up with one last bite she waved to the waiter. She watched as he appraoched the table. “Can I get a chocolate strawberry swirl piece of cake please?” She asked as soon as he reached the table. “Do you want something?” The blonde girl looked at Yukine tilting her head just slightly to the left.
