He couldn't waste time getting there, and he took the speediest routes he knew. He looked out over the village to see if he could spot anything within the area, anything besides obviously the withering and thorny planted crops that dotted the landscape. In the distance he could see a woman picking through the crops, probably hoping for something that wasn’t affected by the curse, but she seemed to have no luck, as her basket by her side was empty. He approached her slowly, and called to her.
“Excuse me, Miss!”
The woman looked up and dropped everything, running to him.
“You’re a wizard aren’t you! Thank goodness you’re here, we’ve been waiting for ages for someone to help us. If you don’t do something about this soon we might-“
Xavier grabbed her as she stopped in front of him. “Miss, please calm down.”
“Behind you!” She yelled.
