One Day In Their Lives. (Private: Karasuba, Rita)

Karasuba waited quietly at a cafe, sipping her tea peacefully. It hadn’t been an eventful day in Magnolia Town, as the now redhead had come to just relax and let her mind wander off to a more peaceful state as she just sat back and relaxed. Of course it felt a bit better with Virgo slightly fanning her off to the side, and no Aquarius yelling at her about slacking off on a day where they could have been getting jobs done and such.

“Are you feeling okay Mistress?” Virgo asked, hoping that Karasuba enjoyed the fanning. The redhead, clad in her Hakama and chest wraps nodded at the pink haired celestial spirit.

“Yes. This is relaxing.” Karasuba closed her eyes and patiently let the day go by.

A very quiet and relaxing day.

"What do you mean I cant trade this in?!" The mage pouted as she slammed her hands down on the counter, Leaning over the weapon on the table dividing her and the dealer. "The blade is used, dulled and not anything worth repairing." He pointed out bluntly. Rita's eye brow twitched at his statement and her eyes narrowed. "N-Not worth anything?" She growled as she swiped the weapon,Rapture, from its place on the counter and pointed it at the dealer. "I killed someone with this thing, I can add a name or two to the list if you want to be tricky." Rita threatened.

"..."

"..."

"Omph!"

Rita crash landed face first into the asphalt outside of the shop, Her weapon thrown out with her. It  landed beside The Fairy with a clatter as the doors to the shop slammed shut. "Ugh, Ouch." Rita muttered, holding her head, she clambered back to her feet and retrieved the blade. She looked down at the weapon she held gently in her hands. She half closed her eyes as if in sadness, and as her eyelashes lowered, she stared into the reflection of her former weapon. "Ghh- damn this." She quietly muttered between gritted teeth, her grip on the sword became tighter as it rested in her quivering hands.

'Idiot, You killed some one with this weapon. That does not make you any tougher...'

Hazzy images fluttered through her head, all memories: The trembling  and blood stained hand of a girl clutched the hollowed blade in her chest. She fell back first against an alleyway wall. Weakly, she slid to the ground leaving a ruff scarlet trail against the bricked surface in her wake. Her expression unseen, obscured by low hanging strands of aqua hair, leaving a shadow over her eyes. Blood leaked out from the corner of her quivering lip and trickled down her chin.

Rita let out a breathless gasp as she snapped back into reality. She had only herself to blame for that accident. An accident she beat herself up about time and time again. She always managed to seem somewhat spiteful around her guild, but when she was all by herself her emotions always seemed to get heavier.

The Fairy was done looking at the reminder in her hands, and she didn't want to take it with her anywhere else. Hesitantly, she violently threw the weapon into the ground, emitting a rather loud clank. Abandoning the sword where it landed, she stormed off in the opposite direction, taking a route past the cafe and a few of the other businesses.

A loud clang broke Karasuba’s thoughts on how peaceful the day was, and she hazily watched a young brown haired girl storm off. Briefly glancing at the item that had been dropped, Karasuba slowly rose from her seat as Virgo stopped fanning her. “Mistress-” Karasuba cut off the pink haired Celestial spirit by raising a finger, before pointing towards where the girl had left the blade behind in her anger.

“Grab the weapon. I believe she will need it in the future.” The redhead stated before walking towards Rita. A ‘Yes Mistress’ was heard, but Karasuba ignored it in favor of walking after the girl and eventually catching up close enough to call out to her. “You know, its not proper to be so loud on such a quiet day. It is quite rude to those of us who are actually enjoying the politeness of the day.” Karasuba didn’t exactly know it, but from the look of anger on the girl’s face she figured the blade must have something to do with it.

“You seem troubled. Is there a problem?” If the girl continued walking, so would Karasuba. If she stopped, Karasuba would as well. Whatever the case was, the celestial spirit mage would get to the bottom of it.

She kept her pace. The shadow mage turned around briefly when she heard a voice ring out behind her. Rita looked over her shoulder and her gaze met with the woman's. Rita off a quick expression of shock. The woman walking after her had an image similar to some one else Rita had met.

Rita recalled it now. How she failed to return the favour, she didn't even remember if she had said thank you. She had point blank bailed. Rita still wished she could apologize for that. Rita didn't know if she could even know if it was possible anymore. So much had happened  since then. How long had it been... a year? Maybe even little more? The girl she met that day could be dead or something and Rita wouldn't even know. Hesitantly, she broke the gaze and turned back to see the path ahead of her. Rita took a moment to respond to the red heads first statement.

"Yeah...-Sorry for the disturbance." she said shortly. Rita quietly sighed to herself. She caused a scene, Rita should of known people would start asking her questions. "There is no issue, and even if there was one it's nothing that can be changed." She responded in a disturbingly blunt tone. Rita kept moving forward, the woman still on her heels. She looked back, taking another look at her face. Could it only be a coincidence?

“I wouldn’t exactly say that. Anything can be changed with the right circumstances.” Karasuba spoke sagely as she remembered how she herself learned that lesson. It was quite the experience, having been humbled in one of the most embarrassing and learning ways. Now she was better for it, and learned from all of her past mistakes that had brought her to this exact moment. “I don’t know you personally, but if you want we can sit down and just have a talk about anything.” Karasuba walked faster until she was right behind Rita, and placed a hand on her shoulder while giving her a relaxing smile.

“I may not be someone you trust, but if you like we can become friends. Sephiria should be about your age.” The redhead stopped speaking as she thought about her daughter, hoping that she eventually could reconnect with her. Those were thoughts in the past, and she shook her head she heard the rapidly approaching footsteps of her pink haired celestial spirit.

“Mistress, I have it.” Virgo explained, showing Karasuba the blade. They stopped as she examined the blade carefully.

“Hmm…..” Karasuba closed her eyes in thought. “Excuse me.” She called out to Rita, depending on if the girl had stopped or not. “What exactly is it that made you discard this blade?”

Rita wished that what Karasuba said true possible. Even in a world full of all sorts of beautiful and twisted forms of sorcery Rita could not take back what she did. She killed some one, and for what Reason? She was that angry and she felt that betrayed.

Rita flinched as a hand met her shoulder. Rita let the words roll around in her head for a while before she responded. "I don't need a talk." She insisted with a stubbornness, nudging away her hand. She kept on walking forward not waiting for the red head to follow. Rita was not as easy of a person to get to anymore, She learned that sometimes you can't even trust the people closest to you let alone a complete stranger.

She had only opened up to one person and that day was crazy and fucked up in all sorts of ways. The Fairy still didn't even understand it. Seiygo had gone bat shit crazy and that her own sister was in on it. The one thing she truly recalled was that it was Sephiria who had come to her aide. But how did Rita repay the dragon slayer? She simply ran off before she had to explain anything else.

Rita stopped her tracks when she heard Sephiria's name come from the woman. She turned back and stared as a silence came between them. "Wait- Do you kn-" Rita was cut off by someone else's words. Running up beside the blood haired female was...a maid? The servant had fetched Rita's blade. Karasuba examined the weapon and wondered why Rita had chosen to abandon it. Her mouth became a thin line as she sunk her teeth into her lip. Rita's nervous gaze drifted upon the item in the maids hands. Rita knew that she couldn't be open and honest about that thing's history.

"I-I Just...." Rita began, quivering eyes locked on the sword. "-I've just grown tired of looking at that thing." she muttered to the ground. Rita knew her next statement would go off subject but Rita had questions for the her too. "For now...Please just tell me this one thing." Rita began slowly"How do you know Sephiria?" she wondered, refusing to make eye contact. She hoped that this woman at the least knew how she was doing.

Karasuba turned her head towards the girl, surprised that the girl focused solely on Sephiria’s name. “Sephiria? Why she’s my daughter.” Of course this may have come to a shock as the girl since, well Karasuba looked about the age of someone who if they did have a child, they would only be a small child. Maybe a toddler if even that. The redhead turned around fully to face Rita and scratched her forehead with her eyes closed, as if to be in a more thinking position. “Besides that, she’s one of the more famous mages of Fiore as a former Rising Star and one of the strongest Eclipse Soul mages. I’d have to have lived under a rock to not know who she is.” While the famous part was a stretch, it was really hard to not know who Sephiria was. Sinon Noir, her real name, had become so famously known it was hard to not possibly see her as something extremely famous in the future. A wizard saint? Possible but the celestial spirit was all the more proud of her just being really strong and outshining her mother.

“But my question is, how do you know her?” Karasuba asked as she opened her eyes, curious as to the young girl would probably want to know more herself. “And what is your name pray tell?” The blade, which Virgo still held, had been forgotten for now. It was not a necessary thing to deal with.

But this other subject was.

"Sephiria, Y-Your daughter?" Rita echoed in bewilderment. Karasuba was right when she thought that Rita would be surprised- about her age of course. She was quite young and to think a young woman like her  rose Sephiria was... strange.

She listened closely as the female talked, Rita had known of her existence but had no idea that Sephiria possessed all of that fame. The mage was quickly asked the very same question: How did she know Sephiria? That was a rather long story...So Rita kept it short and simple.

"Yeah, t-that...I initially met her quite a while back. W-What happened doesn't matter- I could of been dead if it wasn't for Sephiria, I'm in her debt." Rita explained to the mother. Rita was beginning to feel a bit nervous around the parent. Karasuba became curious of her Identity so she did the right thing and gave her answers.

"I'm J-Just Rita..." She nervously murmured as beads of sweat rolled down her forehead. "...Another mage from Fairy Tail, I am nothing unique or impressive- Eh, Ma'am" She responded, awkwardly as she quickly bowed her head to show the woman respect.

Karasuba took the information that Rita gave her and digested it mentally for a bit. She had been saved by Sephiria huh? Well that only meant that her daughter had continued to prove that she was an all around good person. If Rita believed she owed Sephiria, then Karasuba would not be the one to tell her otherwise. But for now, she should introduce herself as Rita did otherwise it would seem very rude on the part of the celestial spirit mage.

“Why then, its nice to meet you Rita.” Karasuba bowed, along with Virgo. “I am Karasuba, mage of Lamia Scale. And this is Virgo, one of the golden zodiac keys.” The redhead mentioned, pointing to the pink haired maid who waved to Rita. “And don’t sell yourself short Rita, you may be more unique than you think.” Karasuba looked into the sky for a moment before looking back at Rita with a smile on her face.

“Say Rita, want to go and get something to eat?” The redhead asked. “I’ll pay. You must be hungry somewhat no?”

Karasuba had told Rita not to sell herself short, and stated that she could be more than she thought she was. She pretended not to hear the comment, Rita didn't want things to get sentimental. Rita waved back at the pink haired spirit with an awkward smile. So Karasuba was a wizard just as she was, A Celestial Mage at that. Rita had never met a wizard who used holder type magic before.

"N-No no you don't need to do that I'm not all that hungry anyway!" Rita insisted. As she waited for a response things between them got quiet. Rita felt the need to speak, she opened her mouth to say something to change the subject but the silence was quickly shattered when her stomach let out a quiet grumble. Dammit, She knew she should not of skipped breakfast today.

"Eh..." Rita murmured to the ground. She sweatdropped comically as a nervous chuckle left her lips. Honestly, Rita hadn't even known her for 10 minutes... and being treated to lunch didn't quite sit right with her.

Karasuba chuckled at hearing Rita’s stomach grumble. “Well it seems like your stomach disagrees with you Rita. It would be rude of me to not treat my daughter’s friend to meal.” The redhead signaled Virgo to go search, and the pink haired maid bowed before running off at high speeds to find a restaurant for the duo to eat at. Karasuba meanwhile grabbed the blade from the celestial spirit and studied it again.

“I don’t know what made you want to get rid of this blade……” She started, before tossing the weapon to the side and sighing heavily before smiling at Rita. “But I will just say that running away from the problem won’t help. You should always fight the problem head on, and deal with the situation before it can get any worse.” Reflecting about her own situations, and dealing with the fallout, Karasuba wished she herself could go back in time to deal with the problems she had. To make sure she didn’t goof up and fail her daughter.

But that was then, and times had changed.

Rita's eyes followed the maid as she dismissed herself with great speed until Karasuba's next statement cut in followed by the familiar clatter of the weapon as it was tossed to the ground.

It was surely something that could not be changed or fought. She pulled a weapon,specifically the blade tossed to the side, on some one and she let her anger get the best of her in the process... But it was something she could work on, her emotions...Rita needed to be more careful when it came to getting angry about things even if it would come as a difficult task for the hot headed female.

Maybe she just needed to let it go. It was an issue that she could not deal with right now. The Fairy Tail mage let out a heavy sigh and ignored the weapon that was no longer in her hands. Rita felt that now was a good time to change the subject. " You said you're from Lamia Scale.... So what are you doing in Magnolia?" she asked, curious about the red heads whereabouts. Maybe changing the subject was a good decision on her part. Rita only hoped that she would not get suspicious in return.
