tarot cards may be used. Only the Major Arcana may be used in Tarot Card Magic since they have actual names while the miror arcana are labeled with numbers.
The tarot cards are used by simply shouting the name of the card, sort of like celestial keys. (Ex: "Tarot Card:The Fool!") Saki mainly uses tarot cards with defensive spells.
Strengths:
-Large variety of spells
-No whiny spirits to deal with if you drop the cards (*cough* AQUARIUS! )
-Cards are always available to use, assuming the mage has enough MP/ has the cards
Weaknesses:
-Must carry around the tarot cards to cast spells (can't just randomly pull cards out of thin air)
-They look just like any other regular set of tarot cards, so it would be very easy to mistaken a normal tarot card for a magical one
-Tarot card magic can be a little... unpredictable when first learning to use it. (ex: Unintentionally using a card which would drain mp)
-The magic can hit both friends along with enemies if they're standing in the way.
Abilities/Powers: Along with casting spells, the mage is also good at fortune telling, although it may be a bit inaccurate
