Brysander outside of battle is a kind and caring person who pays attention to everyone and everything around, to admire its cleanliness and artistic beauty, or to loathe its soiled transparency. He at most times is tranquil and low-key but seems to be very passive aggressive to everyone he talks to, calling people names when they aren't around, always making smart and witty remarks when given an order, and constantly ignoring people just gaze at his gems. He acknowledges people and gives them the respect that they rightfully deserve but after that doesn't treat them all that highly, except when he is addressing his master. When in the presence of his masters, he talks to them in the most obedient and humble way possible. Since his village was burned down as a child, he was taken in by a wealthy family in a nearby town as their butler. He enjoyed his time working for them, obeying their every word, classifying them as his masters. When he meets people that are actually worthy of his respect he treats them at almost the same level of his masters, while giving an uncanny gaze of disinterest to make let them know that he chooses to do what they say. After the mansion was burned down by the local villagers and the family murdered he had quit being a butler, while keeping some of the steward's aesthetics. He tries to be as peremptory to make sure that when he is finally reunited with his masters he will be overjoyed to say that he kept their memories in his heart till the very end.
Once the respects have been paid, he goes through a little change when in combat. He tends to treat his opponents with respect, allows them to talk during the fight without an underhanded surprise attack. He also lets his opponents to prepare before he fights them, formally announcing the fight. He was taught as a butler to remain courteous and respectful, even when your life is on the line. During the fight he likes to keep up a conversation while fighting his opponent. He usually likes to ask psychological questions during the fight, while his opponent is preoccupied fighting his magic, unless he labels his opponent as filthy, where he won't ask psychologically damaging and will just call them dirt and try as much as possible to make them an equivalent to such. He prefers to take a step back during battles, letting his magic do the fighting for him. He developed his magic based around his childhood obsession with gemstones with his present day belief of commanding forces from the rear instead of being along with his allies on the front lines, to make sure that if he is ever close to an ally he fears their eventual betrayal. As a butler he was taught to manage the lesser servants of the house. He uses that knowledge to be a leader, so long as his masters command him to. He may be able to be a great leader but in actuality he is always being lead. As a butler, he always need orders. If he were to be ordered to be a leader, he would become a leader. He can be very versatile in fights if he were asked to. He tries to make sure that during encounters he will always be as artistic and obedient as a butler of the Katulai family.
