Job: Deliver My Letter!

Job Information

Aayla found herself once more in front of the job request board, her hands nervously picking at the torn dress she still adorned. She still needed to make some money so that she could buy new clothes... but most of these jobs sounded terrifying or a little too strange for her to take on right away. She didn't want to end up getting in a fight and really didn't want to travel too far away from her new home. She searched and searched until finally her eyes stopped onto one specific job entitled "Deliver my letter!". Well, that sounded easy enough! She quickly plucked it from the board before anyone else could take the job and read the flyer over. She would have to travel to Magnolia! That was quite far for her to go alone... She sighed lightly before shaking her head and gripping the paper tightly.

"You'll keep an eye on me... right Zinny?"
She asked the small snake resting lazilly on her shoulders, who only replied with a light hiss of it's tongue. She couldn't help but giggle softly as she ran her thumb along the snakes head and headed out of the guild hall for her first solo job! (her first challenge of course would be the stupid bridge that seemed to float in mid-air. If she didn't lose her lunch then, she would be fine!)

Having no idea how to get to Magnolia, Aayla ended up wasting over an hour of her time trying to find passage to the town. she ended up over hearing one of the travelling flower merchants, that he was returning to his shop in Magnolia once his sale here was complete. A mischievous smirk crossed her lips as she managed to sneak her way next to the wagon, allowed her body to turn into water and hid herself inside the wagon. Throughout the ride, she would allow herself to rest by returning to normal, and hiding her form only when, and if the merchant would come back and check on her. Thankfully, the merchant never stopped, and didn't even check his wagon when he pulled to a stop in front of his shop, first going to unlock the store so he could bring in his flowers. She took this opportunity to slip out of the wagon, and make her way into town.

The streets were alive with an excited buzz, people talking about local events, how a certain celebrity had come to town, and how their local guild, "Fairy Tail" seemed to go about their days. She nervously weaved her way through the crowds as she kept her nose glued to the flyer, aiming to go straight to the clients house. Thankfully, he didn't live far away and she strolled right up, knocking on the clients door.

The man that showed up at the door was a little suspicious of the girl at first, judging her by the tattered look of her rags, but upon seeing the sabertooth tattoo on her forearm seemed to calm down and give her his letter. She was quick to ask the man if he had a small, water sealed bag she could use to keep the water safe, and after supplying her with a small "baggie", she slipped the letter inside and sealed it safely away. He explained the situation, and with a little nod of her head and a polite bow, she promised she would get his letter delivered.

It wasn't hard to find this celebrity, what with the clients directions and the buzz going around town. She arrived at the gate where a mass of people were trying to get in, peer inside and just over-run the guards at the gates. She paused, thinking of how she could possibly get inside without having to go through this large crowd. She made her way around the fenced area, peering at what she might be able  to do to get inside when another small smile crossed her face. She took her time finding her way over to the supplies area, where local merchants were supplying the stars with food and water. Of course, there were just as many security guards here, however she was getting the hang of sneaking past people without being noticed.

She managed to sneak her way behind one of the vehicles and crawled underneath. She stayed there, watching as people as they went by then quietly crawled her way over to the water stands. There, she reached up, grabbed the pitcher of water and brought it down as she hid again. She tossed the water on the ground, then set the jug back up onto the table before quickly letting her body turn back to water. Zinneth of course left the little girls side, moving to find a spot to hide herself until Aayla's return. 

"Hey! It's too hot out here she needs more water! No no don't grab those, that jug of water was just brought out and is still cold. Bring that backstage!"
A man called out to the caterer who was quick to pick up the jug of water she had been hiding in and rushed it over to the man in the suit who escorted the caterer backstage and into the room that was put aside for this idol. The caterer wasn't aloud to stay in longer than to closely admire the girl who was sitting and having her hair done before he had to put the jug down and be escorted out again.

Aayla was quick to return her body back to normal, however, that was not without tipping over the jug and falling off the table onto the floor with a crack. She groaned, but the noise caused Yuna to gasp and  quickly stand up, spinning herself around, grabbing a hairbrush as a means to protect herself.

"You're just a kid... who are you, how did you get in here?"
The woman asked, her panic not quite gone at the sight of the little girl.

"I'm sorry... please ma’am… uhm… I just… I have a letter… for you… I… I didn’t mean to scare…. To scare you… I… I’ll leave…”
She said as she put the letter down onto the table, removing the water sealed back and moved to leave the room.

“Wait… hold on… you went through a lot of trouble bringing me this… you’re a brave little girl you know that? Not a lot of people would of done what you did… what’s your name?”
She asked, slowly putting the brush back down onto the dressing table and walking over to where Aayla had put down the letter and picked it up, noting the empty jug of water.

“It… It’s Aayla ma’am… Aayla Mizune… I’m really not b… brave I just… used my magic the best… the best I could…”
She mumbled lowly, stopping, her hand on the door ready to leave.

“Magic? Oh so you’re a wizard!? Oh I get it! You must be a little water wizard, that’s how you got in here… you little Aayla are such a smart, brave adorable little girl… My goodness and look at you, you’re nearly wearing rags… Oh… come with me hun we will get you fixed up with something nice to wear! How does that sound?”
Aayla didn’t have time to protest, or ask why the super famous idol took any interest in her at all after she had broken into her change room to deliver a silly letter.

A few hours went by as Aayla and Yuna spent time together, Yuna having a grand old time dolling up the small girl. She got her a nice new dress purple dress with a checkered pattern over the chest and back. Matching purple gloves that went up to her elbows and a comfortable, fancy pair of purple boots that brought all of the outfit together. Yuna did up Aayla’s hair, even added curls, ribbons and flowers on the two little pig tails. Looking into the mirror, Aayla couldn’t help but go red as she was being given so much attention. It was so strange, to have someone fawn over her again… in fact she had never been fawned over like this! She wanted to cry, but was afraid of ruining the look Yuna was so generous to give her. 

As their time came to a close, Aayla gave Yuna a tight hug, thanking her profusely for the short time the two girls had spent together. Who would of thought, a job delivering a letter, could of let her meet a celebrity and have an experience such as this!

“Now Aayla… I’m going to walk you back out to the back. I’m going to talk to my body guard and he’d going to take you offsite. You’re an adorable kid, you remind me a lot of my little sister… but on future jobs, be a little bit more careful okay? Not all pop stars are as nice as I am”
She told the small girl with a wink as she escorted Aayla out the door, now holding the letter that was delivered to her in hand. Only once Aayla was gone, did Yuna finally open the letter and read it on her way to the stage for the first show of the day. Maybe she would even dedicate a song to the brave little girl.

Aayla was escorted safely away from the stage, and from the fans who began noticing this dolled up little girl, escorted by a body guard. The guard was quick to provide Aayla with a means to travel back home. To the security guard, the faster they could get rid of the little sneak, the better…
