It was when his stomach rumbled that he decided shining his keys for hours on end should come to a short break. It wasn't often Skye was careless with his keys, however today was an exception. He felt so satisfied, so relaxed and so happy with the lifestyle he obtained, his care for problems and his keys were out of question for him to worry about. He quickly set his keys on the edge of his table, leaving his backpack with it. He would only get a quick bite, then quickly return to what he was doing. He hadn't made many friends in Sabertooth yet, but the guilds high spirits and endless selflessness kept him happy enough.
He quickly gobbled up the biscuits he got, making sure he was rid of any crumbs on his shirt. How could he keep his keys clean if he couldn't even do so for himself? He hurried back to his table, but his keys were not set atop it where he left them. He panicked for only a second before spotting their shine a small distance away from the table. His mind had made up that someone stole them at first, so his huge sigh of relief was appropriate.
He starting walking over to his keys, not wanting to leave them in such a vulnerable place. They were capable of such power, yes; but the keys were as delicate a stick. Breaking a key was an easy task; obtaining them to break was the real challenge. It struct him for just a second, though. Out of all the keys to be sticking out on its own, away from all the others on the metal loop was Columba, his first key. He didn't know why, but he felt as vulnerable as the key. He swept his keys off the ground, regaining a sense safety and comfort, although he stood up and turned around only to smack into somebody walking by. He stumbled back, dazed as unusual words left his mouth. "Ack, damn, watch it...!"
