He placed his palms out to the sides, one palm with light magic and one with dark magic. Dreams and nightmares become life, this was the true power of the Dehiro bloodline. They were able to make reality shifted however they wanted at full power. He himself was very close to unlocking the Feris Eyes, and with them, the world was just about his. According to Shadelle, he was deemed S rank in Fiore, which was next to their highest power. For him, this was good, but he wanted to train, which was why he was located in the arena for this match. Sorry pretty girl, but I'm going to have to rip you to shreds. Nothing personal, kay? He would taunt, his eyes glowing yellow with a menacing glow. A blonde in front of him possessing a somewhat equal amount of power to him. He was unable to identify her magic due to her strength, but that just amplified his hunger for battle and his thirst for blood, perhaps hers. They were both in the arena, prepared to battle. As for him, he was not going to hold back on her, since she seemed to have a power that could feed very well into his own. Of course, this might mean putting her in some nightmares, but she was just a mere stranger. A hot one, but still a stranger nevertheless. So he braced his feet, waiting for the announcer to count down the seconds before the both of them can engage in combat.

Oooooo, a fiery persona. The blonde snickered a bit before then declaring his thoughts on it. "I like it!" With that, he would look to the side to see the announcer counting the both of them off. Her purple flames emitting from her body impressed him, he might as well give a show as well. Two sudden streams of light fell beside him, like pillars. They both spun around speedily around his body, leaving trails of light magic around him before stomping his foot, an explosive amount of dream magic flowing around his body as light and darkness would consume him. Her purple eyes would be met with his own golden, and before they both knew it, the timer immediately went to zero. Time to put this to an end before it even started.

"Sweet dreams, love~" The dream mage taunted as he placed one palm upwards, the stadium around the both of them being illusive as an illusion had been carried out. It swiftly became more like an ancient gladiator form of arena rather than the industrialized form they were previously in. The trick was simple, only his opponent and himself could see the illusion in this form. Kai was playing with her senses, and while she was not aware of her senses being messed with, he could create all sorts of illusional pain. It was not real, but mental pain can hurt far worse.

"Welcome to my world, and this is where we end things!" Kai would declare victoriously as he snapped his fingers on the right hand. An illusional meteor would head straight from above down onto Venir. The mass was enough to cover the whole entire stadium, it looked as if he planned to crush them all. At least, that was what the both of them saw. The audience saw nothing, not the meteor, or a changed arena. They were outside of it, Venir and Kai were both on the inside. Dream magic, nightmare magic all the same, they were illusions he was able to form, and no one had any power to stop him... Or so he thought.

While she would feel the impact from the illusion of the meteor, if she were to figure her way out of there, she destroyed his set of tricks right there. The key was to make sure she never knew. Unfortunately for him, he picked the wrong mage to do this towards. The reason being her flames. Flames emit light. Light reveal what's hidden if it burns bright enough. Kai figured that she just had purple flames, little did he know that with her magic power, that did not have to be the case. So really, who was in checkmate?
