When I tried to join this site, I wanted to register before I read a lot of the rules because I wanted clarification of some things and just some people to talk to so I can get a feel of the site personality. I used my primary email and I THINK, not sure, but I think my registration email didn't get sent because I didn't click 'Continue' or whatever button it may be after I finished registration and received the message that I was sent an email to activate my account.
I couldn't understand why I wasn't getting the email, so I tried to find the Chatbox to ask for help, but it was to no avail (I'm still embarrassingly new. So I may be wrong) because I believe it's only available to registered members. Then I went to the FAQ and I wanted to click the 'Login and Registration Issues' link, but it wasn't working for me.
Now on that note, I was informed the site is currently under construction and things are moving around. But it may also be my web browser (Chrome) that is not allowing me to click on that link. Adding to this, a lot of the buttons and such don't have their proper picture. It shows up as that colorful little box. Again, this may be the site under construction or my web browser/internet/laptop in general.
I felt locked out of the site. I couldn't ask for help or properly look up ways to help, so instead of sitting it through, I made another account and pressed 'OK' or 'Continue' or whatever button at the end of my registration and it sent me the email to my other address.
I'm glad I got into the site, but I hope my experiences were neither strange nor rare, for I would hate to feel crazy about this.
Other Information: May I suggest the chatbox be available for guests? If it wasn't? That way I may have asked a mod to resend the link to my primary email?
Also, if some of the clicking pictures (like reply is the colorful box I mentioned before) isn't working for me, are there any suggestions for what I may do to fix this issue? I know this is more of a technical problem then a site problem, but I may as well ask, right? :D
