Mentor

Lina had just joined the Nox Animus the day prior, and had talked to a few people, but she wasn't used to being around so many people. She was by the railing of the giant airship, by the entrance to the guild. Watching the earth pass by far below her. She sighed, putting her elbow on the railing and her hand on her cheek. Propping her head up.

Alexander was walking down the streets of Noximus with a chuckle in his lips, there was a new arrival in the guild and had not received the stamp yet. It would be time to welcome Daemons sister into the dysfunctional family, another Lunar mage to add to the ranks. Alexander had yet to meet the girl though and thus he walked out of the guildhall and to the railings that overlooked Fiore. The cold breeze felt night in such a warm summer and the moving ship would make the city seem cooler than the actual temperature actually was. He stood next to Lina and looked at the soon to be setting sun. He commented, "Quite a beautiful sight isn't it? And we are in luck, tonight is supposedly going to be a full moon."

Lina nearly squeaked when she noticed the guild master next to her. she looked up at him then looked back down at Fiore that slowly moved below them. she sighed shakily at the sounds of his words, knowing exactly what would come with it. watching as the sun began to touch the horizon. The sun reflected off Alex's face. she knew he had some kind of magic based around fire, she couldn't help but notice how he blended with it. then she replied to his comment. "y-yeah..so very lucky." she sighed. starting to get anticipated for the moon to rise.

Alexander noticed the slight nervousness and immediately assumed she was just shy. It was not unusual, the power levels between the 2 were a bigger gap and his reputation tended to frighten people. He chuckled slightly and looked down below, the people were not even ants to the guild. They were so high up that they were not even specks to show where they were. Alexander then looked at Lina with guild stamp in his hand, "Well you need to be stamped to be official. Where would you like to be stamped?" He was trying to give a comforting smile as he said it, not knowing she was nervous about something else.

Lina had her hands clasped together like she usually did, close to her chest. It was always something she naturally did when she was in a situation like this. she looked down over the edge again, she liked how high up they were. closer to the moon, when she was alone at night it felt nice. but she wasn't alone. She thought about his question for a minute, "u-um..on my upper back." she replied, pulling her shirt down a little in the back and pointing to where she wanted it to be.

Alexander gently placed the tattoo on the upper back of Lina's body. The mark was painless, but marked her as one of the family. Not by blood, but by bonds forged with one another. Alexander commented, "From this day forward you are part of our pack of wolves. And like wolves we will never hunt alone, abandon one of our own or ever bare fangs upon one another. In the end we are family." He chuckled slightly as he put the stamp away, the ceremony was over and now he could get to know the newcomer. Alexander commented, "So your enjoying the view?"

Lina pulled her shirt back up over her new mark and looked from him to the clouds outside the giant ship. "yes, its beautiful" she commented, a cloud passing so close by the airship she reached out and touched it, the mist flowing around her hand.

Alexander chuckled, "Well the view is best at night, because we are above the Fioran pollution. It gives us a crystal clear view of the starts and the infinite lights it shows us. There are other worlds out there and we are just one insignificant planetary body in space." He chuckled and enjoyed as the last bit of the sun started to set. Soon the night sky would light up from the moon and the stars. This would be a pleasant night.

Lina got a pang of worry in her stomach as the sun started to dissapear over the horizon, and starting to see the beginning of the moon rising. she could feel the curse starting to rise. "I-I almost forgot i haft to be somewhere!" she said turning around, she was already worried so she didn't haft to pull that off. "ill talk tomorrow, is that alright...?" she looked up at him, itching to leave.

Alexander watched as Lina got nervous suddenly, what has going on? There was fear and worry in her eyes, like something was going to happen. This concerned Alex greatly because it meant either A) she was hiding something or B) was not telling him of a certain danger. Alexander said, "Well let me escort you there. The place is a fairly big city after all and there are things that go bump in the night here." It was just an excuse to see where she was going, but instead had a guild master following her.

Lina's stomach tied itself in a tighter knot. she held her hands tighter and closer to her chest as her little comfort habit she always did. "That's not necessary... I-I know where it is. "I'm just going to an important..um.. i just need to go, ill talk tomorrow!" she said, and before she said anything else she bolted off and down through the maze of buildings in the city part of the ship. trying to lose him in case he came after her, feeling the curse start to rise with the moon.

Alexander opened a single eye wider than the other one. That was a very odd behavior and suspicious. He watched as Lina ran off, but would he let her go? Security was important, so not until he knew what was going on. She had a lot of nervous habits and the eyes of pure fear. Was something bothering her? Alexander let her have a running start before he jumped up on a building in a single leap. He then began to follow her on rooftop to rooftop, coat fluttering in the wind and continuing the chase. When she finally stopped or slowed down a bit he would jump off the roof. Alexander said to her, "You forgot the key to your private room at the guild." He pulled out a silver key on a necklace to hand over, but whether he could so or not would be up to the moons decision.

Lina gasped as he jumped out of no where, the sun had completely set now. The moon beginning its rise into the sky. She sighed, reaching out for the silver key in Alex's hand. But her hand stopped before she could grab it. "c-crap..." she said as she squinted her eyes shut and held her stomach tight. shivering as the moon got higher.

Alexander was about to finish handing it over when she hunched over and started to shake. This was more than shake, but utter convulsing. It looked painful, but Alexander had no concept of pain like others do. Nerves were damaged, but he did do what he thought was best in situation. Gave her a tight hug to stop her shaking, his body was oddly comforting warm to most people. He said, "It's okay, you are part of a guild now. You dont have to hide anymore." He looked up at the sky and there they were, all the stars and the moon in its full glory.

Lina was surprised by the sudden embrace, but her shaking slowed as she took deeper breaths. Feeling tears forming in her eyes. She wrapped her arms around him too, years starting to stream down her face as she felt the curse taking over, she withdrew as she shrunk to the ground again. But this time under the clothes she was wearing. Peeking her head out from underneath the shirt she was wearing. She had a little fox muzzle and little fox ears that were down, as if feeling shameful. Looking at the ground.

Alexander looked at her as she changed and poked her head out of the shirt she was wearing. There was surprised in his eyes, but then came understanding. She suffered from a sort of Lycanthropy and felt shy about it. It was a curse brought in by the moon and she was shy about it. He instead chuckled, "Thats it? You realize that you are in a guild that has a severe lack of true humans. This is the least embarrassing thing I have seen." He started scratching behind the foxes ears to attempt to comfort her.

Lina came out from under her shirt, looking up at him with her eyes open happily, as if she was saying: "really?" then his hand came down on her head, she shy'ed away from it at first but purred after he started to pet her. rubbing her cheek against his hand.

Alexander kept petting the young foxgirl as he contemplated on what to do with her. This was a first time conundrum for him. What do you do with someone with a curse like that? With an astronomical body like the moon? Then he smiled, "Well congratulations Lina, you are being volunteered to be my apprentice."

Lina's now fuzzy ears perked up as she now was on top of his head. she squeaked a little and held her in place on top of his head and balancing with her tail, poking her head down to look at him. she tilted her head to the side so she could see him better. with an expression that read, "really?" on her face.
