"This thing is coming at us. What do we do, do we attack it?" Janna questioned, making Aedre scrunch up her eyebrows while thinking. She was rarely the one to make the first move in a battle; one could say, she preferred to fight in a counter offensive way. Analyzing and making conclusions before diving into a battle was her forte, yet, at this crucial moment it was not the most favorable for either of the Savages.
The beast was perhaps known as a Chimera, for it was legendary and the white-haired woman could remember reading about it somewhere. Well, that was something she enjoyed anyways, so it won't be a surprise if she was knowledgeable about a couple of things here and there- especially if they were considered a myth by many. Curiosity was pretty manipulative in the case of the Slayer's mind.
"Ofcourse we attack- for we certainly don't want to end up as the prey here." She stated, while observing the callous eyes of the Chimera locked onto them.
Two swords would materialize in Aedre's hand, as she watched Janna trying to attack the creature back when it tried to bite her with its tail; one that actually held the head of a snake- and ofcourse, it was alive.
There won't be much use for a dead snake now, would there be?
Both, the teal and the black sword in the Slayer's hand shone in the light of the bright sun- which tortuously heated the desert like an oven.
A pulse of magical energy would flow through both thw swords, as a burst of dark-blue, ethereal light enveloped them. At the same time, the pupils of Aedre's eyes changed color- one to a raven-black and the other an incandescent cyan. The light on the swords would vanish in a heartbeat, the wielder's eyes- still the same.
In the matter of a split second, Aedre was no longer in her previous position; it was almost as if she simply vaporized into dust. But, surely it wasn't the truth.
If Janna, or any onlooker would take notice, the white-haired woman had appeared right behind the Chimera. She had heard, Janna's suggestion and was ready to put her faith into her subordinate's knowledge.
So, as the creature's lion head was still busy looking at Janna, the snake on its tail hissed at Aedre- nearly biting her in the process of its attempt to attack her.
"Say goodbye to that fancy tail~"
Apparently, the snake and the lion shared the same brain, for the beast was about to turn around. But, at that very moment, Elucidator's blade cut off the snake-head tail with just backhand slash from Aedre; causing it fall on the ground and writhe, while the lion nearly roared in its pain and agony.
The creature has turned around completely by now and lunged at Aedre's position... or well, her previous position. The woman was now, right next to where Janna was standing.
"Which part do you suggest for butchering next?"
