Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack] Empty Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack]

Post by Mifune 22nd June 2014, 9:43 am

It was eerily calm on the eve of the storm, the day that the two wizard from Blue Pegasus arrived upon their little sailboat.  The sail of which of course proved very useless in such calm weather.  Shuhei, being the gentleman he was did all of the rowing, because he was such a gentleman and not because he neglected the job request for nearly three months, which is why the two had arrived the day before the storm was scheduled to arrive.  The the sky began to brighten up as the morning came upon them, and the boat slid on to the sandy beach of Crescent Island.  "Well, here we are."  Shuhei said tiredly to Sango as he stood up and stretched out his arms.  Shuhei's mood was a dull one.  He'd been rowing all night without rest and without his usual ten hours he felt very incapable of much.  He sighed and looked up towards the sky.  Not a breath of wind, cloud in the sky or even a ripple on the water.  It was so clear in fact that Shuhei could faintly see the moon in the morning daylight.  He reached in to his sleeve left and removed a crystal ball from his robe and held it up in front of him.  The sphere flew out of his hand and in to the sky where Shuhei would have a birds eye view of the entire Island and a vast part of the ocean. "Now we'll have plenty of warning." Through the power of the Graeae, Shuhei quickly discovered in which direction they should travel to find the client and he promptly started to walk towards the forest ahead of them.

Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack] Empty Re: Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack]

Post by Rosetta Crawford 13th July 2014, 5:40 am

Whilst two Blue Pegasus members had set off for this mission a third had also decided to tag along. That man was Zack Rose. A man responsible for saving the royal castle from the threat of the Golden Dragon from beyond the skies of knowledge. A man known as a King of Fighters, though he hadn't brought the item that proved he was. He was the seventh of the ten wizard saints and the sky demon slayer. It was this final reason that he had decided to attend this mission. A king of storms was the target of the mission and for him that was an opponent he just had to face.

Rather than taking a boat to the island or some other means of aquatic transformation he had run the entire way and arrived a few hours earlier to consume some air. He watched as the boat came up to the shore and leapt down. "Hey there." he said with a grin waving at the pair. "I'm surprised at you Shuhei. You know giant monsters are my thing and you don't even invite me to join you against a king of storms?" he shook his head. The beast was supposed to be insanely powerful. Even more powerful than the Golden Dragon from beyond the skies of knowledge. "So I thought i'd tag along anyway." he said his grin even more broader. He would stay even if he wasn't wanted. He was going to confront this beast with them or without them.

Yet it wasn't just because he was the sky demon slayer. Nor was it because he favoured fighting giant monsters. No, he had another reason. Two other reasons. He needed to see how well he fought with his current guildmaster and an ace of the guild. If he didn't meld well with them it would help make a decision for him. The other was that a 'storm king' made him think of one of the people who had helped train him. The sky king of the south wind. If it was him then this was the time to confront him. If not then it would be good preparation. He would have to combat him, and the other three one day. Not to mention their leader. "So which way to the client?"

    Job Description you nimrods:

It had been an unbelievable satisfaction. Sango had been at peace in the boat. The whole time that Shuhei had gently rowed the boat while she was able to have a calm sleep in the rocking billow of nature. A romantic experience, truly. Although they hadn't communicated much or she felt any reaction to her feminine charm from him, Sango felt closer to him than ever before. And it was a good thing he had finally agreed to do this with her. Whatever lied ahead was definitely worth that small trip over the ocean. She had been in a peaceful daze all morning. Not asleep, but also not awake. Simply eyeing Shuhei, watching him row his arms off because of some random sense of courtesy for her. It was cute, and so unlike him. But welcome. Yawning and stretching her arms as Shuhei announced they were hitting shore, she rubbed her eyes and had let an arm dangle into the water the whole final piece of the trip.

Shuhei was visibly tired, but that was his usual state of being. Getting out of the boat, she saw that another Blue Pegasus had already been there and waited for them. It was surely a surprise. Seeing that he was in a good mood however, Sango greeted him with a smile and a wave, looking forward to doing this with him. As Shuhei's Graeae flew up into the sky, she knew that all there was to do was follow him. So pointing in the direction of Shuhei's likely tired and visibly sluggish slander, she trailed behind him wondering if Zack Rose, whom she had noticed to be quite a bit of a free spirit would join her on the ground or take his own route over the treetops.

Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack] Empty Re: Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack]

Post by Mifune 17th July 2014, 9:44 am

Shuhei smiled at Zack, seemingly unsurprised by his appearance.  He scratched the back of his head and chuckled.  "Sorry I didn't get the chance to contact you, we left in something of a hurry."  Shuhei crossed his arms and walked towards the Sky Slayer and stood beside him.  "But I'm glad you could make it, something told me you would."  The lateness of Shuhei's reaction to the request made it difficult for Shuhei to contact anyone other than Sango to accompany him on the mission.  Although the coming of the Storm King was no secret.  As Shuhei had hoped, Zack caught wind of the event and took it upon himself to take on the job after realizing Shuhei and Sango had left without him (or possibly even before.)  "Lets put those Sky Demon Slaying skills of yours to work shall we?"  Shuhei marched on ahead of Zack.  "The village is this way."  He said, walking in to the forest of Crescent Island.

This particular part of the island was covered in mostly jungle growth, but there were also ruins hidden beneath the foliage.  Stone pillars and tablets scattered about with strange hieroglyphs and runes marking them.  Ancient gibberish the locals referred to it all as.  One monument in particular caught Shuhei's attention though.  A large tablet with a crescent inside of a circle, with markings of waves all around it, along with all of that gibberish written around it.  An interesting design, but meaningless to the wizard trio.  From the sky, Shuhei could see through his Graeae and monitor their progress to the village.  "It's just up ahead."  The White Wizard said.  Through the trees, he could see the steeple of the towns chapel, and upon arriving, it would appear to be deserted, all except for one home at the top of a hill at the far end of the village, from which there was smoke coming from a chimney.

Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack] Empty Re: Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack]

Post by Rosetta Crawford 17th July 2014, 1:37 pm

It seemed in his head he heard someone calling him a Nimrod but he ignored that thought. It was surely just him hearing things. It seemed that whilst Sango was surprised to see him there, Shuhei was not and that it had not been on purpose that he had not been requested but due to the urgency of the mission. That made sense. More than anything else he had considered.

"No problem Shu. I know what its like to be in a rush more than most." he said with a wink. He was the type to run ahead without thinking and was generally always running or flying at high speeds. He didn't like to stand still or walk slowly. Still when Shuhei pointed the way he got into step and began to follow though it was clear that he was impatient. Still, he followed and decided to speak to Sango. He had not had much opportunity for he was often away from the guild for long periods of time. He stared at her for a moment. Had he even met her before? He wasn't sure. People and even events rarely stayed in his head for very long unless they made some big impression on him. He knew only one thing of her for certain. She was the lightning demon slayer. He could see her magic, just like he could see Shuhei's. Hers was lightning but from within and it had a blessed feel. His was an internal light, but without blessing or curse. Still it seemed that within him there were crystals that shone outwards. That was what his eyepatch gave him the ability to do. A lightning demon slayer, a 3rd gen light dragon slayer and a sky demon slayer. All of them S rank wizards or higher. A mighty team yet would they be mighty enough to beat this Storm King.

It all depended on what this Storm King was. If it was the Sky King of the south it would be a truly fearsome opponent. Zack did not think he was a match for any of them yet, not even the gentlest. Still, perhaps fortune would favour them. Then again perhaps not. He had no idea. "So....errr....sorry I don't really remember your name?" he said with a shrug. It was true too. He was sure he should, but he didn't. "This your first mission with Shu?"

Post by Shen Hakuhei 26th July 2014, 12:09 pm

With an idle slender Sango trailed behind Shuhei. Between the thicket and high-growing plants she let her eyes trace around and take in the scenery. It was surely one of a kind. She couldn't remember that she had seen anything comparable to this jungle. She could just imagine the stories it told. The amount of history it had. Stone steeles and remnants of past civilizations were scattered all around their path. It lit up her mood and soothed her to point where she felt  salvaged in the arms of nature. It was then that she noticed Zack following and moving up to her. It was not peculiar anymore. Sango had gotten used to it and took no offense in his lacunar memory. By now it was quite entertaining. She had reminded him so often of the fact that he was the one to have even brought her over to Fiore that she understood something was wrong with his memory. Smiling at him, she spoke with her usual intricate tone and soothing voice. "Sango. And it is." She answered softly whilst continuing her slander and moving over branches and pushing away plants here and there. With a nod that indicated a retaliation of the question to Zack, she concentrated on her path, and on Shuhei's back.

When finally reaching the clearing, they came out beside what looked to be a town. But deserted as it was, Sango was slightly confused as to where exactly Shuhei had lead the two of them. Moving up beside him she looked at him somewhat questioning and with a searching face. That was when her eyes caught the smoke coming out from a chimney way past their location and currently even invisible. Waiting for Shuhei to go back to leading their way, she dropped back and took a look around the town. It didn't seem like it was abandoned, merely as if the citizens were currently vacant. It seemed alive, simply without the people in it. And it was unusually quiet as well. But she didn't presume anything dangerous for now. As such, her guard was down and she simply enjoyed the view of the village.

Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack] Empty Re: Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack]

Post by Mifune 4th August 2014, 4:59 am

Shuhei continued on through the empty town towards the smoke on the hill while examining the homes they passed.  "They all must have evacuated in preparation for the storm."  There were still foot prints and wagon tracks throughout the town all moving in the same direction, suggesting that everyone had left only recently.  "They couldn't have left that long ago. There must be a shelter somewhere on the Island, they wouldn't have made it to the mainland in time to avoid sailing through the storm."  Considering this was a reoccurring event that happened every fifty years, it wasn't surprising that the people would construct or find some kind of shelter on the island.  The towns head however bravely remained behind in by himself to brief the mages on their job before the coming of the storm.  Upon reaching the top of the hill, they would come upon his manor.  A large two story brick house with a dirt path leading up to the front door.

"Nice place."  He said as he walked up to the front door and knocked three times.  "Blue Pegasus."  He announced.  The sound of furniture being knocked over could be heard from inside and a loud trot to the door.  "I'm coming!"  Suddenly the door flew open and a short bald man with a white beard opened the door.  "It's about time you decided to show up!  I've been waiting months for a reply to my request!"  Shuhei scratched the back of his head and chuckled.  "Well you know, we've been pretty busy!"  Lie.  "Well come in then, we haven't got all night."  The old man turned and led the three in to his home, a well decorated home with hard wood floors and white walls.  A chandelier hung from the ceiling in the room to which he led them where there were several chairs and sofa's for them to sit on.  "Please sit, I'll be back with some tea."
And quite suddenly he scurried in to another room.

Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack] Empty Re: Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack]

Post by Rosetta Crawford 5th August 2014, 12:32 pm

Sango. The name struck a bell and he couldn't think why. He considered the answer to the question "Well, I met Shuhei on a mission, but...something happened can't really remember what...and we didn't finish it so this will be the first mission that we complete together hopefully." he replied after a few moments. That seemed to be the truth. "Got to see his speed on that mission though...and that's what brought me the guild...someone I wanted to surpass." He might have told her this before. He might not have. Zack wasn't exactly the person to answer.

He observed the town when they arrived considering it. It seemed the tracks were all going in one direction and he considered going to see exactly how they were sheltered and where it was so whatever this Storm King was they could keep it away from that area. He would mention it to Shuhei later, but for now there was no need. Besides, the village head might be able to tell them more.

"Shuhei is right. We have been pretty busy...we needed to get enough strong members together to be able to handle the situation." Zack added backing up the guild master. IT was again a lie. Zack wasn't even meant to be here. He just tagged along because this was a mission that almost seemed made for him. "Strong enough mages for a job like this aren't exactly common." THe man just looked at him with a grumpy impatient look on his face. The man then ran off to make some tea telling them to sit. Zack looked around and considered where to sit and then shrugged before sitting down in midair cross legged. He hoped the man didn't find it too disrespectful. Zack just didn't really do sitting down for long periods of time. He doubted he'd wait about to hear the full mission details. "We've met before haven't we Sango?" he said whilst they were waiting.

It was then that Devon came out of his pocket as a small green orb before expanding to form her 5ft6 form. She was a rather attractive woman in knight armor. It was a light weight, but strong armor and on her back was her spear the Seven Virtues. She leant over and whispered to Zack and he blushed. "Ah...how do I keep forgetting I was the one who brought you to the guild?" he said shaking his head in disbelief at himself causing Devon to giggle.

Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack] Empty Re: Breaking the Storm [Sango, Shuhei & Zack]

Post by Shen Hakuhei 17th August 2014, 12:09 pm

Following up to the path she watched Shuhei's back as he ascended the city alongside Zack and her. He was always a beautiful and relaxed sight to behold. Upon arriving at the mansion, she took in a deep breath at the note of his words, that the upcoming storm must have lead to preparations. And it was indeed correct. Something was brewing in the air. Distant, but the instincts of a slayer were able to pick up that fickle sensation.

The grumpy old man had all reason to be grumpy. Without hesitation he had snarled at them with feisty words. Sango rolled her eyes at the lie of the two men. How it just had to be that they supported each other with false information. Not mentioning it to the old however, she simply brushed past them and trailed right beside the old man, smiling at him. He looked up at her with an upset face. "No time for small talk miss." He retorted at her welcoming face.

At that, her demeanour dropped. The senior had a point. And she wouldn't come to be offended. Sitting down on a couch in the living room she sat beside Zack who, after a while, decided to ask her a question. One she wasn't surprised at. He'd asked her before. That was quite recently after he had brought her over from Desierto. With a slight snicker, she was about to answer when a small winged being popped out of Zack's pocket and expanded in size. Full-human size.

Now that was something she was visibly surprised at. Looking over at Shuhei with a questioning and somewhat uneasy gaze, she returned to see that Zack was blushing and had seemingly come to the conclusion through the help of the small thing. And she recalled, there was a small fairy that had been around Zack when they met in Desierto. That the small creature was able to grow in size was unbeknownst to her.

Smiling at the imposing figure she happily looked at her and said "Thankyou." actually being thankful for the fact that she didn't have to remind Zack this time. "Don't mention it. I am aware of your memory. Feel no shame and free to ask me anytime." She added in a low and soft voice. Then the old man, who had gone to make tea in the meanwhile came back hastily set everything on the table and began to speak without losing time.
