Clover Town - the home to Blue Pegasus - was a tranquil little town that quite clearly befitted its name. It was a beautiful town that had incredible surroundings due to it sitting right in the centre of Clover Lake. What more could a man want out of a job than a view like this? Well...money and beer would've been nice. That's why Marick was here afterall. He was currently sat on a bench outside of a shop, waiting for the appearance of a young mage. He didn't have much detail on her exactly. Only that she had long red hair and was a member of Eclipse Soul. For some reason the authorities were always incredibly vague when it came to giving information in regards to another mage. Sure, it was best to be safe and ensure that no mage knew every detail about a teammate they were partnered with for the job, since it could turn sour and potentially result in some serious trouble. But there was being safe, then there was just being stupid, and this was most certainly a case of the latter in the electric blue eyes of the Solitaire. Although he'd also received a first name, although that wouldn't necessarily help. Still there was a bright side to this; she was from Eclipse Soul, a guild that had been created by none other than Zeno Sombras, a card mage that Marick held high respect for. Being from that guild, this 'Sephiria' had to be a good mage at the very least.
Marick quickly pulled his cards from his deck holder and shuffled them as a way to pass the time. That and he'd been playing a couple of card games and knew all too well that the cards were actually in order, so would be problematic if he were to get into a fight and not have time to shuffle before he had to fight. He'd struggle to get anything all too useful and, given the nature of the job, that could cause all kinds of trouble. After all, what good was a card mage if they had no favour with the cards? After a few moments he replaced the cards back in their deck holder, and then put his hand against the sheath that was placed on the base of his spine. Within the sheath was the Sword of the Solitaire, a blade he'd been unable to find until recently. The fact it was created by his master meant that not only would it be reliable, as all of the Solitaire's equipment was, but it also held a lot of sentimental value to Marick himself; it was the very last thing his master had created before his passing. With a smile at the thought, Marick removed his hand and leaned forwards so that his arms were rested on his knees. I wonder what this 'Sephiria' is like...
