A Regal Arrival

Ophelia had yet to make an appearance in her guild, she had been lingering for quite awhile. She decided it was time to show up and greet her guild members. The woman was practically glittering. She had adorned herself in a light blue column dress that sparkled under the sun, her heels hid under the long dress but as she stepped forward there were small glimpses of her white pumps. Surprisingly enough, Ophelia decided to tone down her overdressing since she would probably blind peasants with her radiance.

The girl pushed some pale hair behind her ears and let out a small sigh as she took her first steps inside the guild. "Impressive... Somewhat." Ophelia shrugged and glanced about. What a first impression...

Kihia had been keeping watch over the guild hall as he normally does when he is not working. He was trying to relax the best he could although this was hard to accomplish with over half the guild knowing what lies beneath the bandages on his right arm. He looked up when he saw the Guild Hall doors open and someone he had only seen on one occasion before now walk in.(OOC: Note Referencing the Guild Event if you don't want to include that I will edit this and make changes) He hadn't seen her since then and furthermore, never caught the womans name.

Kihia lifted Icarus onto his right shoulder and walked over to the woman, and said, "Hello there, Welcome Back to the Lamia Scale Guild Hall. My name is Kihia Avoa, may I ask yours?"

Aegiel popped by the Guild Hall, ready for his latest and greatest job. As he made his way over to the job board, he noticed a new face gazing about the guild much like he had when he first arrived. Luckily, Kihia was already there to greet her, so-

Wait. Kihia? Kihia-icy-shoulder-Kihia? He couldn't let it happen. Aegiel was in interception mode as he casually slid his way in between the sour ice-mage and the new arrival. He beamed up at her and shyly offered his hand to shake, "Hi, miss. Welcome to Lamia Scale! If there's anything you need, just ask!" On the inside, he grimaced. He hoped he wasn't overdoing the whole "be my friend" thing. A quick glance at Kihia's cold face served to solidify Aegiel's resolve. He would not let the new face get the wrong impression of their wonderful guild. Of that, he was certain. So the smile stayed in place.

It appears as though people are already welcoming her with open arms. She cleared her throat and opened her mouth to speak, "I'm Ophelia-" The woman was quickly interrupted by another who managed to slither his way between them. "Katulai..." She didn't appear to be pleased with this boy's actions and cringed somewhat. My, peasants can be so brash. "Thank you, I suppose. I do feel welcomed."
Ophelia extended her hand and hesitantly shook his. "And you are?" She had already gotten the name of one of the members whom she had seen once, but this boy didn't even bother to introduce himself.

Kihia sighed when he saw Aegiel move quickly in between them, Doesn't Aegiel know that is not a good behavior to perform when welcoming someone.... Kihia then nodded his head in greeting and said, "It is good to be formally introduced to you Ophelia, this here is Aegiel," Kihia lightly patted Aegiels left shoulder, as a simple gesture to remember your manners.

Aegiel cringed. This had not gone as planned. Now he looked like the rude one, and the lady standing in front of him seemed to be giving off the same vibes as Kihia. Formal, well-dressed and polished; everything Aegiel was not. Kihia's hand clapping down upon Aegiel's shoulder reminded him of a gavel: judging and final. And this is what you get for going out of your way to be friendly to someone, Aegiel reproached. Never again. He gave a somewhat-strained smile as Kihia introduced him (something that had conveniently slipped Aegiel's mind) and excused himself with all the fancy-shmancy politeness he could muster. He even went so far as to compliment Katulai on her dress before he let his feet begin to drag his weary body back to the notice board. "Ugh...I'd rather fight a Vulcan than have to go through that again," he groaned. "No, wait. Make that two vulcans." He paused, glancing over his shoulder to make sure the lady was really alright. Strangely enough, the two conversing mages seemed strangely suited for each other. One practically reeked of money, and the other was stiff enough to... freeze ice, he supposed.

"How quaint." Ophelia watched as Aegiel slipped away as suddenly as he appeared. The comment on her dress flattered her to an extent, her opinion on him was slightly more positive than it was before. She awkwardly coughed before going on, "I hope I haven't caused any disturbance here. I was lurking... Originally that is. It's rather pleasant to make new acquaintances." She appeared to have trouble with her words as she spoke, Ophelia didn't want to appear rude to her guildmates, but surely her more unpleasant side will begin to show once she settles in. "But this guild does appear to be quite forgiving and from what I have seen, quite friendly."

Ren ran into the guildhall, clutching a new hat in his hand. "I'M SORRY OPHELIA! ISAWTHISNEWHATINTHESTOREANDITWASREALLYGREATPLEASEDON'TYELLATME" Ren blabbered on from a distance. He was terrified she was going to flip out on him like when he wore the dinosaur pajamas. Her thick irish accent when she got mad was to Ren the 1st most intimidating thing. Ever. "I GOT YOU A RING IF THAT HELPS" Ren cried and held up a small silver band with an octupus on it. "YOU LIKE OCTOPUSES RIGHT?!?!?" Ren was starting to hyperventilate.

"OCTOPUSES!?" Ophelia's anger was off of the charts. "OCTOPUSES!? ARE YOU JOKING WITH ME YOU TWAT!?" She was about to punch Ren in the throat after his sudden outburst, but since there people around she just hit him in the back of his head and watched as his many bobby pins fell out of his hair. "Who the fook do ye take me for!? DESGUSTENG! AN OCTOPOOS REN! AN OCTOPOOS!" Ophelia had a sudden urge to beat him up for his so called 'apology ring'.

Kihia watched the entire scene erupt before him and he sighed. That reaction wasn't needed... Kihia lifted Icarus off his right shoulder and let it slide through his right hand impacting the marble floor with an resounding ring in an attempts to cease the argument.

Kihia then stared at Ophelia and said, "Ophelia... I don't know what your past is or your upbringing... but that was completely and utterly unnecessary... friends do things out of kindness sometimes... even though it may not be a thing you may enjoy... don't throw it into their face... Everyone is different... we react to things different... we communicate differently... but that is one thing that makes us who we are..." Kihia then look at Ren, "Calm yourself... you shouldn't be in a rush here unless you are late for something..."

Cyrus saw Ren burst through the door with a new hat and a ring. Words flew from his mouth like rabid dogs let off their chain. Cyrus merely sighed as his guildmate displayed his usual scattered personality. "Ren, please get ahold of yourself before you make this already awkard situation any worse. Hello there, Lady Ophelia was it?" Cyrus asked bowing his head, "It's a pleasure to make myself acquainted with you. My name is Cyrus Kuma."

Aegiel tore a notice off the job board, glaring at it before pinning it back on the wall. "Modeling? Hah! Even I have my standards..." He hesitated. The money was good...No no no. Get your mind out of the gutter, Aegiel. He heard a commotion go on behind him, and smiled. Just another day at Lamia Scale. Then he turned around.

Was the lady screaming? He held in a rather rude word as he ran back to the commotion, only to realize that it was Miss Katulai screaming at... somebody. Aegiel blinked. That kid was probably the most adorable guy Aegiel had ever seen. Reminded him of....bunnies. Loud, octopus-loving bunnies. Ahh, what are you thinking now?! Focus, focus! He recognized the white-haired boy as the one who had returned Meep to him at the last guild meeting. To him Aegiel gave a quick smile before putting a comforting hand on the octopus-boy. "Calm down. It's just an octopus, nothing to panic about," he addressed both of the shrieking Lamia Scale members, trying to come off as friendly as possible. He hoped that this time, his attempt at friendliness wouldn't make things take a turn for the worse.

Ophelia flipped her hair over her shoulder and scoffed. Her accent was far too thick and her voice was far too angry to understand the gibberish that managed to escape her clenched teeth. It appeared as though the princess is upset with how things were going.

She closed her eyes for a moment and placed a hand on the bridge of her nose, taking in deep breaths to calm down. Those around her appeared to be taken away by the fact that she yelled at Ren so suddenly. Though Ren did remind her of the sick peasant girl who kept referring to her as an octopus.

"I apologize, I may have gotten myself slightly carried away~" She coughed and placed a hand on her cheek, sighing woefully. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Cyrus. Since you all keep speaking to me so formally, I'd rather you not. Ophelia is just fine." She didn't want to admit it, but the term Lady brought back memories she didn't want.

Ren cried out as his bobby pins clattered to the floor, his bangs now covering his vision. CAN'T SEE, CAN'T SEE!" he loudly informed everyone as he crawled around the floor looking for his bright red bobby pins. Getting his hair cut was a waste of time (and money) so he just used bobby pins. Plus, in his opinion they looked cool with hats. Eventually he managed to find one, and pinned a part back, but he still couldn't see very well. "Can someone help? I can't really see."

Kihia nodded at Cyrus in greeting and then saw Ren drop pins all over the floor. He sighed and knelt down placing his left hand on the ground. Kihia then formed a small sheet of ice in the area most of the bobby pins had fallen, making a bowl rise up out of the sheet of ice collecting most of the bobby pins in one container. "There you go Ren... Kihia had handed Ren the bowl and then walked off back to his usual spot by the columns.
