Stop The Noise! (Nightken,Kira)

Nightken arrived at the spot Simon and him agreed to meet at least a good three hours early. He decided to take a nap since it was going to be awhile before he showed up. The howls of the canyon could be heard as the wind whipped through it, but as he listened to the normal sounds of the canyon he heard the the howl of a large creature. "Guess that's what we got called in to take care of." He said aloud before falling asleep. His master told him before when you show up to a job early and have to wait on a partner to show up just sit there and relax until they show up. During his nap there were small creatures that started to climb on him and curled up to take a nap as well. While he slept he had a dream about the last time he saw his master alive. It was back on Thunder Island when he was no more than ten. His master Izunagi brought him there during one of the most dangerous storms recorded due to the sheer amount of lightning striking. With all of the lightning striking it was hard for him to do anything aside from dodging. Dodging the lightning his body began to be coated in electricity allowing him to move much faster and avoid every lightning bolt, but while he was doing that he suddenly tripped causing him to no longer be coated in electricity and couldn't dodge any lightning. Izunagi showed up in the blink of an eye to protect him with his body as a shield. All of the lightning seemed to be attracted to his master all of a sudden, between the flashes from the lightning he saw a shadowed human figure in the distance with glowing red eyes. That's when Nightken woke up from his nap and was pale as a ghost. "Who was that? Were they the one who killed Izunagi?" He said aloud going over what he saw as he stood up and all the little animals on him scurried off. Looking at the sun's position in the sky it had been two hours since he fell asleep. "I'm going to find out how that person in the hood is and I'm going to get revenge for you Izunagi." He said looking up at the sky as a gust of wind blew by making the bottom of his duster blow around. Dusting himself off he did some stretches while he waited for Simon. "Maybe I shouldn't have shown up so early, but then again I haven't been here in quite some time." He said looking down the canyon as more howls came from it sounding of a creature.

Simon came running towards the Canyon kicking up a cloud of dust in his wake. The small mage packing super human strength in his legs sped across the country side at speeds over a hundred miles per hour like it was nothing. He had a wide grin on as the wind blasted his face and made his clothes flutter like a flag nothing felt exactly like running and running fast. The kid got a hell of a kick out of it and in his time in Fairy Tail running fast had become one of his favorite activities. It was at it's best when he was on his way to a job so he got to mix the adrenaline of running with the anticipation of a new job, really it was exhilarating. Simon threw his head back laughing when the canyon came into sight "Alright! Time to get down to business!" He could feel the ground getting drier and harder as he got closer as he noticed the sound of cracking with each step he took. Simon almost tripped from the sudden shift but Simon's enhanced foot coordination kept him going straight. After only a minute the meeting place and Nightken came into sight.

The phoenix mage slid to a stop in front of the lightning mage. He then hopped to his feet and scratched the back of his head "Yo! Dang you must have left really early to beat me here. Anyway this is the place for the job right?" Simon could now hear the roaring noise that they had been sent to stop. He shuddered at it "Ugh that's loud, can't wait to take it out." Simon grinned wide and laughed "You know it's kinda funny how long we have known each other without going on a job. I'm really looking forward to this. It's been too long and I'm revving at full throttle ready to go!"

When Simon showed up he stirred up a dust cloud that covered them for a second before the wind from the canyon blew it away and carried the creature's howl to them. "Looks like we got our welcoming. Watch out for the giant scorpions even though they're not difficult to deal with its their sting that will put you in a world of hurt." He said as they started going into the canyon. After a couple minutes of walking several small rocks fell from the canyon wall. Looking up he saw a stone golem coming out of the canyon wall falling towards them. Moving out of the way Nightken drew his Nidai Kitetsu. The blade became coated in black lightning as it left the sheathe the crackle of the lightning echoed through the canyon causing the golem's attention to be drawn towards him. It started to run towards him pulling its arm back to punch, but with a well timed roll he got behind it and stabbed his sword into the back of the golem. Releasing an electric pulse inside of it he blew the top half of the golem to rubble. "These ones are really annoying, but easy to take down. Next golem is yours promise." Nightken said to Simon as he sheathed his sword and then dusted himself off. Continuing on it was rather quiet in the canyon even the wind had stopped. "This is odd normally there is wind blowing through this canyon so why did it suddenly stop?" He asked in surprise to what was happening. Keeping an eye out for any creatures that might try to attack until from under the ground a claw came out and grabbed his foot. "Shit we don't have time for you." As he said that he used his discharge spell to give the scorpion a shock before it can try to sting. "Simon go on ahead I got this guy." He said as he shot a bolt of white lightning at the scorpion as it popped up. It lashed out at him with its claws and tried to sting him. The claws started to make a cracking sound as they hit his boots due to the titanium plates in them and the tough material they're made of. Catching the tail to his side and avoiding the stinger from making skin contact he shot two black lightning bolts at the connecting point of the stinger severing it an making the scorpion screech in pain. At the same time he caught the tail it was electrocuted by his Elettro Guard which due to the sheer amount of electricity going through the scorpion it sort of popped. Wiping the scorpion goo off of himself he went to catch up with Simon.
