- Job: Afternoon Freakout
Rank: C
Player Requirements: Thread must be at least 20 posts long. C Ranked Wizards or Above. Or a combination of two D Ranked Wizards or more. 250 Words Minimum Each Post.
Job Requirements: Stop the paranoid Wizard and his cronies from attacking civilians in the market. Stop him before he's able too harm or kill 15 people. Must defeat ONE group of Henchmen or Cocky Fire Wizards and either the Insane Fire-Make Wizard, or the Mind Wizard. 3 wizards Max Allowed on this Mission / Job.
(Note: If you roll for the Mind Wizard and he appears, the Insane Fire-Make Wizard's spell will be broken, and he will flee the scene in horror of what he's done alongside any Henchmen, or Cocky Fire Wizards, who will also be freed from the spell, as the Mind Wizard is interested in fighting you with no help, on his own.)
Job Location: Oak Town
Job Description: A wizard is loosing his mind slowly, but surely in Oak Town. You've arrived on the scene shortly after a mission was hurriedly posted on the board. For the past few days, a Fire Wizard has been heading too the market with his band of wizards and attacking innocent civilians, claiming that they're Demons. It would appear that he's under some form of enchantment or spell that's controlling his mind. He still has his intelligence and still, he and his minions are a huge threat too those around them.
(Note: At the end of each round, he will roll a random Fire spell against a nearby group of civilians, a single civilian, or a shop / establishment. If you roll a miss, it misses. If you roll an attack, it lands and you loose 1 out of the 15 individuals you're supposed too protect.)
(Note: The name of the Wizard, and or his group of cronies is up too you.)
Enemies:
Weak: Henchmen Fire Wizard x3 (These guys use D-Ranked Fire Spells, mostly Fire Balls and Fire Streams that don't do too much damage. They can catch things on fire however. They go down in usually one hit, two at the most of any rank.)
Normal: Cocky Fire Wizard x3 (These guys use C-Ranked Magic, and are very skilled. They sling AOE fire spells at you, along with normal fireballs and fire streams. They take four C-Ranked hits each too defeat.)
Strong: The Insane Fire-Make Wizard (The source of the problem. A young wizard with a long blue coat with red runic markings on it. He has face length blue hair that sweeps around his face, with a deranged look and a constant toothy smile that just screams "I'm insane.", he uses a plethora of C-Ranked spells at rapid speed, and has a B-Ranked AOE fire spell that will deal incredible damage if you're hit by it. At the end of every turn, he rolls a "Damage Die" too see if he harms / kills one civilian or a nearby building / establishment. Takes 15 C-Ranked hits too defeat.)
Boss: Mind Wizard (The REAL source of the trouble in Oak Town, this guy brought the Insane Fire-Make Wizard under his control with his magic, so beware. He's a force too be reckoned with. If he appears, he will attempt too bring the civilians under his mind control, and force them too attack you. He uses Darkness-based magic along with his psychic abilities. Each round, he rolls a "Damage Die" if he misses, then he doesn't bring anyone under his control, if the Attack goes through then a group of civilians will attempt too impede your fight against him. Takes 20 C-Ranked hits too destroy. Will shield himself with Darkness-based magic, and strike with blasts of Shadows, and cause whipping shadows too jump from floors/walls/alleyways. Is very quick, and can have clouds of darkness lift him off the ground too get aerial and fight from rooftops. Good luck. His spells are C-Ranked, and B-Ranked.)

Indar walked next to the girl, eyeing the job parchment. This job seemed weird, though it could be one of the most influential jobs Indar had done so far. Though he wasn't considered a good mage anymore, as he didn't follow the magic council's rules no longer. He was kinda curious, as to which guild this girl belonged to or if any for the fact. It would be interesting if she was from a guild, like the likes of Eclipse Soul or Lamia Scale, as Indar had never met a mage from those two before and what he had heard of Eclipse Soul intrigued him. A guild on the edge of the law, but still too close to the law, it wasn't a free guild, it wasn't a guild Indar liked. All legal guilds were wrong to him, their ways, their motivations, their goal, all seemed wrong to Indar now. They were siding with the Magic Council, though he didn't know if they liked it or not, it was still unacceptable. Everyone who followed laws like that, was an inferior being. Nothing different from a heard of sheep, running after their leader.
Indar sighed, he had drifted into his weird thoughts again. This new magic did make his mind work more like Ombrias's mind. He did remember the time he met with him, but he didn't like it. Though at the moment, he was together with this girl, who's name he didn't even know. She was kinda cute though, even if her personality wasn't that great or so he thought, considering the earlier talk. Indar placed his hands behind his head, looking up towards the sky and said: '' Well, if we are going to do this together, we should at least know each other's names. Mine's Indar. ''

As she walked decidedly in the direction the mayor pointed towards, she felt the unfamiliar presence of the unknown man fall into step next to her. She fought the urge to sneak a peak out of the corner of her eye, just a curious glance that could maybe give that person the impression that she wanted some kind of social interaction. Oh no- she definitely didn’t. Gemma was already way too distracted to even think about conversing. Thoughts jumbling in her head alongside the sudden realization that maybe she had thought too highly of her self. This mission screamed problematic and she had decided to jump right into the monsters jaw. Or the mages spell.
Doubts and thoughts were interrupted however when the man spoke, his voice bringing her back to the present as she finally brought her eyes towards the stranger – well more like her temporary partner now. Her face scrunched up a bit as this seemed like the starting point of dumb chitchat but he did have a point. Indar would be a much more time saving way to call him out during battle than random blonde guy. “I’m Gemma” she answered simply, looking back towards the road for a bit before turning her gaze back towards Indar.
“So- what guild are you in? You’d think I would have been notified if someone else picked up the same mission as I did” she said, her tone sounding light but her nagging suspicion evident on her features as she waited for an answer.

Indar averted his eyes towards the road, away from the girl, who by now had introduced herself as Gemma. A name Indar hadn't heard before or even didn't know of. But it did sound fairly nice. The question, that Gemma asked though, left Indar speechless for a little while. Yes, he wasn't in a guild at the moment, but would be joining one very soon or well until Alexander sends him the letter informing about the completion of the guild. He sighed quietly, and said: '' Well i'm not in a guild right now, but am planning to join one very soon. But as for now, I'm guildless. '' He smiled at Gemma, though not knowing if it was the right call, as she didn't seem like the most friendly person in Fiore.
Indar decided to focus on the job now, but something was still bugging him a little bit. He had multiple questions about this Gemma girl still, what guild was she in, what was her magic, who was she exactly. But the most important question was still in his mind, was she a legal or a dark mage. This simple question could determine Indar's attitude towards Gemma, although it may not. He sighed deeply, turning his head towards Gemma, as they were nearing their destination: '' So... What guild may you be in then? '' He wasn't going to ask more for now, as just the guild name would reveal her status with the magic council. Thinking back, he may have sounded a little bit snobbish asking it like that, but really he didn't care for it that much.

Gemma chuckled slightly to herself as she saw Indar look away, laughing at his unidentified discomfort. She felt a bit bad for doing so but it wasn't everyday that she managed to have people look away for whatever reason. At least not without sending a particularly intense and hate filled glare their way. The smirk wiped off her face quite fast though as he answered her question in a way that displeased Gemma- lone mages were never good signs. Cast aside, bitter, on the wrong side of the law, there were many reason why those people held that status, and it was rarely voluntary nor a good thing. "How did you get that request then?" she asked- worried about pushing but trying to subtly have some kind of information on Indar's background. Something to be able to read him better, something that would tell her if she should keep watching her back whenever they run into whatever evil was waiting in the city. "I really doubt the poor mayor would have advertised this particular issue on all job boards in Fiore for all to see- only a select few in the privacy of a guild" she said, looking pointedly at Indar, not responding to her smile in any way other that a single lifted eyebrow. "Then again, I'm just hypothesizing" she added in a falsely carefree voice, looking away, back to the road in front of them.
Cogs were still turning in her head as to what she should do with the unwelcome- but probably helpful- addition to her mission. The line between boost and liability was very thin and she couldn't figure out in which section to pin Indar in. Something she should do quick as they got closer to their destination. Gemma turned her gaze back to him as he turned her question back at her. Unsurprisingly. She let out a small huff of annoyance, more out of general irritation regarding the road this was taking than from his expected question, before lifting the short hair off her neck and turning the back of her head towards Indar quickly, showing his the teal Eclipse Soul insignia before dropping her hair back in place, only a small shade of blue visible behind the pink strands of her short bob. "This should be good enough for an answer I suppose" she said coldly, narrowly avoiding a child who almost ran into her, grumbling to herself.
"This is stupid" she exclaimed suddenly, stopping in her tracks as a realization just hit her, turning her gaze back to the blonde man. "I shouldn't have agreed to this, it's a dumb decision" Gemma, more to herself than to Indar. "I don't even know what you're capable. Hell, our magics could be opposites and you're going to screw me over in battle by mistake. Or just carry the brunt of the attack if you can't keep up" she added with a scoff.

Indar went into his thoughts over the question of the job request. He didn't exactly want to say that he took it from Sabertooth as a souvenir or as a back up for times when money would be scarce. He sighed, but right before he was about to say something, Gemma stopped in front of him and moved her hair out of the way, revealing the guild mark of Eclipse Soul. Indar really did have a faint idea now of where this mage stood with the Magic Council and this wasn't the side Indar supported anymore. He was actually quite annoyed by it, he did like this colder attitude, it did carry it's charm.
Indar sighed, wanting to say something, but yet again, was cut of by Gemma, who now snapped at him. It did come out as a blurry of words, seemingly aimed towards hurting Indar or well just being bitchy. This really did annoy him, the girl was making assumptions really based on nothing. He did look angrily at her, now placing one of his hands onto the girl's shoulder. '' You are a bitch, you know that. '' He took his hand off her shoulder and walked past Gemma: '' Make your decision about how useful i am in battle after you see me in one. '' After this Indar felt fairly strong, but angered. This wasn't really like him, but people like Gemma made him angry, with their bitchy nature.
Though his mood changed, right when he noticed a vendor, selling a couple of metallic swords on the side of the road. He quickly crabbed a few jewels, threw them at the man and took two of the swords. Indar then bit a piece out of one of the swords, silently continuing on the road. '' This may have given you an idea what kind of magic i use. '' He was in a weird mood now, a mood in which he enjoyed to be in.
