Interesting and...disturbing {Aedre/Hiro}

Hiro wandered around the supposedly haunted forest without any real worries. If this forest was haunted he would just eat the souls of ghosts that lived here. If it wasn’t haunted he wouldn’t be bothered so much and he just had to find the water source to go fishing in. Well either way he had to find a water source for well…water. So Hiro just wandered around bored keeping an eye out for some source of drinking water.

Hiro wandered for what seemed like hours. In reality it had only been an hour and a half but it felt like half a day had already passed him by until he heard some whispering. Hiro looked around until he spotted two souls nearby. Upon closer inspection they were the souls of some really stupid bandits that had probably gotten lost in the woods or ate some poisonous berries. How they died didn’t really matter all Hiro knew is that they were dead and that their sinful souls looked fantastic. A little spark of blue flickered off of Hiro as he turned and began chasing the bandits.


“WHAT THE HELLL HE SAW US!?” the bandits yelled as they turned tail and ran. The bandits had yet to realize they were dead and were trying to sneak up and take Hiro out with his stuff as Hiro’s entire body burst into flames as he laughed maniacally. This only caused the bandits to get even louder and ran…well floated, even faster than they were to begin with.

The malicious spirits continued to run as they slipped into some thick bramble in an attempt to escape our villainous predator of the dead. Hiro continued chasing them out of sheer hunger for the sins of the departed. Murder, thievery and rape amoungst their many crimes were the worst of them and the most delicious, especially murder and rape. Murder had a tangier flavor to it whilst rape, among other and most sexual crimes, was spicy and the combination always seemed to get Hiro’s taste buds. Hiro’s innate flames burned through the bramble but it was incredibly thick and thorny as it tore into his clothing.

The souls made it out the other side of the bramble completely unharmed since they were ghosts, panting and hoping they had gotten far away enough from their devilish pursuer that they would be able to escape. This would not be the case as their jaws dropped as the blue flames fully engulfed the bramble. Not long after, Hiro burst out of the bramble covered in scratches from the bramble. Not only that but the bramble had stripped him of his clothing…he had appeared before his prey in nothing more than his underwear laughing all the same. “DINNER IS SERVED DREGS OF SOCIETY! HAHAHAHAHAHA!”

“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!” The spirits yelled in response to Hiro’s extremely awkward appearance, completely forgetting the fact that he was trying to devour them.

"What the hell???!!!" Hiro heard a female swearing loudly and looked around out of instinctual curiosity. If somebody had seen him in this form it would be more trouble for him. When he looked around he didn’t see anything. He simply thought he was crazy and just went back to preying on the not so innocent souls before him. Souls may project the original body of the owner of the soul but the only physical form was a round floating lump which usually originated near the heart would be. Devour it and everything else disappears. So that’s what Hiro did and devoured the two of them.

Hiro heard something. Yelling... somebody was giving an order to somebody to somebody else to put pants on. “Huh?” Hiro looked around to see nobody. Hiro thought he might be crazy and wondered what the hell was going on. This voice sounded really close. Hiro looked down for no real apparent reason as his gaze flattened. “Where are my pants?” He said to himself and the empty forest.

Well I’ll have to deal with the naked issue later there is a more immediate problem here. Hiro immediately turned around and ran off in order to get a distance away from whoever had seen him. Somebody had to have seen him with his flames bursting out this wasn’t a coincidence. People didn’t just come into this forest for picnics and camping for recreational activity. There were rumors of ghosts in the area that pushed people away from this place. Even if nobody saw him he simply decided to skedaddle just to be on the safe side. That voice was a little too close for comfort.

Hiro slipped through more brambles and after a short distance and setting a few bushes on fire to try and divert any attention away from him if somebody was following him and also slow that person down or stop them in their tracks completely. Hopefully this person wasn’t a saint and he or she couldn’t just walk through it.

After running an okay distance away, Hiro took a quick look back and stopped paying attention to what was in front of him to see if anybody was following him. A mistake as he fell over a small ledge and into a river a little too deep to walk in…and our little devil didn’t know how to swim. Hiro tried desperately to get his head out from over the water and gasped for air and flailing about as the river carried him downstream hoping he could grab hold of something that could keep him above water level.

“Sh-i”  Hiro gargled as his head bobbed above and below water level. He was struggling as his body beat up against some large rocks jutting out of the river. Hiro tried to grab onto a few of them only to slide off because they were too slippery and smooth from the water and erosion that it caused. The lack of oxygen he was getting from the drowning was suffocating and his strength was quickly draining until eventually, he passed out and fell under the water.

Hiro jumped up in a rage as his flames burst out. He didn’t really know what happened except that he had just landed on his head and that he was pissed off about. “WHAT THE HELL!?” he yelled out, his tail flailing and around in his anger, not aware that somebody much more powerful than him was watching from above. The person who dropped him. The person he would be pissed off at.

OOC: All spoilers are considered dream mode and actually doesn't have a huge, if any, importance to the thread. They are however relatively entertaining if I do say so myself and may give you a chuckle but your character would have no idea what is going on in them.

“Take a breath, will you?" Hiro looked over to his right and saw a cute pink haired girl standing nearby. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit! Hiro’s head screamed. He was coated in blue flames and his tail was lashing out. The forest prevented his escape and he had nowhere to slip out. He wasn’t going to be able to get out of this one easily. Any tiny hope of escape was quickly silenced as she showed off some raw magical power to establish some dominance and threw a shirt at the emblazoned half devil.

Hiro’s hand reached out on instinct and caught it without thinking. In almost an instant, the girls shirt ignited and burst into pale blue flames, quickly turning it to ashes and even burning the ashes into nothing. Hiro blank gaze stared at his now empty hand for a moment. Perhaps almost drowning had slowed his thought process a little since he needed a moment to figure out what he just did. “Oops,” was the only word to come out of his mouth. A moment passed before he suddenly tried to make an escape and tried to run back as his tail whipped around behind him. He didn’t say a word or even make any indication he was trying to escape but the survival instinct just kicked in the moment he realized he had probably pissed this girl off.

“MENTAL CASE!?” Hiro yelled out loud in anger. As he turned his head to yell back at the pink haired stalker. “Huh?” The girl’s form quickly turned black as a shadow and became distorted. It rushed forth at him quickly and was easily able to pass by Hiro with ease. What the hell!? Hiro’s head exploded as the girl appeared in front of him from the quickly moving shadow. SHE’S A MAGE!? MOTHER FUCKER!? Hiro’s brain continued to scream.

"First, you have to pay for my shirt"

Yep. I pissed her off, Hiro’s thoughts calmed down for a second but that second took too much of his time as his throat slammed right into the gapping maw of her outstretched hand. Hiro gagged as his tongue popped out of his mouth comically and it almost looked like his eyes were about to do the same and were just barely able to stay within the sockets.  It felt like his Adam’s Apple was just pushed through his esophagus and into his spine. SHIIIIIIIIIIT! Hiro’s mind continued to yell. I’ll kill you! Damn it! Hiro wanted to yell out. He couldn’t though. His throat was in an enormous amount of pain and he didn’t even have the ability to scream in pain, not that he would of course. He’s experienced worse pain falling off of buildings trying to get away from people he stole from or perhaps the rune knights. He would obviously be in the worse of the two in this situation but it seemed this girl wasn’t smart enough to know you’re not supposed to touch a guy on fire.

OOC combat stuffs: Passive magic ability to deal progressive D-rank damage on prolonged contact.

OOC: Yes I know its not a fight this is just a habit.

The pink haired vixen immediately quickly let go of Hiro as he fell to the ground and landed on his feet albeit with a stagger to catch his breath. Hiro immediately tried to jolt away out of instinct. Hiro was a good runner so he knew that anyone who could catch him would be a problem to fight. The moment Hiro tried to slip away with a hard lunge to run his feet didn’t move and he fell right into the pinkette’s trap. He was like a fly in a spider’s web now. Helpless.

Hiro struggled and yanked away with no avail, trying to burn the webbing of shadows with his flames but too little avail. Unfortunately this girl was far more powerful than Hiro was so he couldn’t do anything. Demanding one or two things the woman loomed over Hiro. He was to either state his name or pay for her shirt. He had no money so paying for the shirt was not a possibility and he didn’t feel like licking the girl’s feet and being her little man servant to pay for it. Hiro also didn’t want to divulge his name. He carried his mother’s surname and his mother was known as a heretic and gave away his satanic origins if anybody knew about her and the helpless little devil had a feeling just his given name wouldn’t be enough and he hated the name his father gave him, Belial. Hiro simply continued to struggle and burn out his flames until eventually his strength wore off his flames subsiding and his devil form reverting back to his usual look. His ears still pointy and his teeth still sharp but at a more humanly level that could be explained as by birth defects or other things. His tail was still dangling out but his flames were gone and he panted with exhaustion, glaring the woman down. He really had no choice in this situation but to give up his name. “H-Hiro. Hiro Villenn,” he finally gave in after losing his obviously wasted strength.

Hiro’s eyes narrowed.  Don’t make fun of my name damn it, he thought. He found it rude to his mother who gave him the name and that only fueled Hiro’s anger and enmity towards the pinkette. He just wanted to rip out the girl’s throat and eat her soul at this point. She was just pissing off a devil which in almost one hundred percent of circumstances would be an incredibly stupid thing to do. This circumstance must be why it’s ALMOST one hundred percent because Hiro was completely helpless against this woman. Also he was kind of weak.

Her next question was a bigger problem to answer. Hiro had a reason he was stuck in the forest but it wasn’t a good one. He was stealing from some caravan in a neighboring town and happened to be caught. He was able to get away from the guards but he was driven a good ways into the forest. He had only been in the forest over night and wasn’t really doing much except looking for food. He had found the wandering souls of some bandits whom he tried to eat until she had gotten in the way or at least gotten Hiro’s attention. So more or less Hiro couldn’t really explain why he was here. He didn’t want to be turned into the authorities. “I was hunting until you came along,” Hiro decided to answer bluntly. There wasn’t another answer he could give that was remotely honest, not that he was a very honest person.

Speaking of the bandit souls he was hunting recently, they were back as Hiro turned his head to see the two hiding in the bushes with their heads poking out, snickering at Hiro. All this did was make Hiro’s flames start to seep out a little as he hissed and bared his fangs at them. “I’ll kill those bastards,” Hiro muttered under his breath as the two bandits slipped back into the bushes in fear.

Ah shit, she heard me, Hiro thought to himself as he tried to figure out a way he was going to have to explain this. The problem was he couldn’t. Even if he did she would probably just think he was an asylum escapee.  Heck she probably thought that already. Hiro couldn’t really explain things unless he proved or showed it to her and that would be more explanations he would have to give that he was not going to be willing to give.

Hiro continued to be taunted by the two ghosts which only pissed him off more as he tried to wiggle a hand free. Or at least free enough, which was doable. Twisting and turning his hand around, Hiro positioned the palm of his nearest hand toward the bush as a devious smile grew upon his face. Hiro’s flames burst out again albeit incredibly weaker than before but enough to get the job done although the bandit ghosts didn’t seem to think so. That would be something the ghosts regret as Hiro shot a small ball of fire at the bush out of his almost arthritically contorted hand. The bush quickly burst in the blue flames and the ghosts’ invisible and intangible bodies were now coated in an invisible flame as they ran around screaming in pain. The woman wouldn’t be able to hear them but Hiro could as he sneered through pointed teeth.
