For most jobs it's believable that an event would happen over and over again for mages of all guilds and ranks to do over and over again, they're repetetive and simple. Something you could expect would happen again and again.
Then there are 10 yr and 100 yr jobs: Take The Beacons (100 year job) for example. It's totally believable that this event would happen, but only once ever. I know that most mages wont even attempt this job, but even then, if two seperate groups take it, it seems a bit unbelievable and insincere. There is only a very few number of times where the world is in peril, if it happens ever other week is a bit boring.
I know this is really nitpicky, and I dont expect anything to happen any time soon regarding this, if ever, what with all of the systems coming soon. But this is something to think about
I propose when a team takes on a 10 or 100 year job, and maybe even an SS one, the thread gets locked and if they fail, it gets unlocked, but if it is completed successfully, it stays locked and the mages who did it go to some hall of fame or something. These *are* supposed to be the most insane jobs in the mage world after all.
Just something to think about, please share your thoughts down there
Kira's amendment: I agree it should apply to other jobs as well. But select ones that it makes sense for, as mods or admins would need to hunt them down individually and it could get confusing.
