Lets go to the Beach! || Open to ALL Lamia Scale Members

Quincy cried as she was frozen in her block of ice. She was no longer able to win the bet that she made and worse of all food was ready. "YOU BUTTHEAD LET ME OUT OF HERE BEFORE I BREAK YOUR NOSE!" She cried out with a slight quaver in her voice. She struggled as best she could in her block but to no avail. All she was able to do was move her head and she couldn't even use her arms to activate her spells. "Please just unfreeze me so that I can throw you under the water for only a second. C'mon its getting late please."

Fire Crackling at her feet, Kari just sat back as the conversations erupted around her. Kali was playing in the sand, making a castle she assumed, Lilly was scurrying around everyone and well Quinn was being Quinn. Speaking of that, for some reason she was now in a block of ice. Kariline just snickered and walked up to Quinn. " Well if you weren't so hasty," She said as she popped a strawberry into Quinn's mouth. She knew exactly what was going on, just some playful notions towards Kihia, but why where they trying to get him in the water?

It didn't matter to her, she just shrugged and walked back to her spot where Kihia had stepped forward. He had something important to tell her apparently. She nodded and walked away from the scene. Just a few meters, where everyone could se just not hear what was being said. " What's up?" She said with a slight smile.

Cyrus stood there, motionless, his feet frozen to the ground. He thought about any possible ways for him to get Kihia in the water. Then it struck him. The only way for him to succeed in getting his friend to swim was to pull him in. Luckily, Cyrus had a spell that just might work. Sir Kihia, forgive me when I say that I must try my best during bets. Anything else would be failure.

Cyrus... whatever you're thinking don't do it, warned Vulturnus. Cyrus paid him no attention.

"Cloud Make: Whip," he said. A stream of white clouds shot from his hand. This plan, as Vulturnus had expected, ended up going awry. It blasted by Lily, ramming into Kaligos's dinner blowing it to bits. It then swooped under Maria, knocking her off her feet, then past Kaseki's head, narrowly missing him. Finally it flipped over a bowl of fruit that Kari had prepared. It was still on track however and was about to ram into Kihia. As long as he could get the ice mage into the water, it didn't matter what else happened.

"Hm....I don't know...." Maria said quite puzzled, "But I'm hungry..." But before she could say hungry, she found herself tumbling to the ground. "What the??!" She exclaimed as she saw the chaos unfold from her position. She saw Kihia dodge the attack expertly at the last second. She blinked a few times and upon recovering from the shock, she quickly scanned the room. Her eyes narrowed at the sight Cyrus. "Watch it," was all she mumbled before calling out, "Is everyone alright?"

Kihia looked towards Cyrus as soon as he casted his cloud make spell and started to swing it towards Kihia. He watched the carnage it created in its wake and as it approached him he lifted up his left hand caught the cloud whip right before it wrapped around him. “Cyrus….what were you trying to foolishly…achieve with that….the amount of things it hit before reaching me slowed it down…” Kihia sent a surge of his magic power through the whip freezing it solid. Kihia then pulled down with his left arm shattering the whip entirely, He placed one end of Icarus in the sand and smiled I just had a wonderful idea…

Kihia started to form an catapult underneath(and out of sight) his two friends who had been causing trouble. “Now…I know you two have been trying to force me in the water…” Kihia paused for a moment while the embarrassing thought passed through his mind again causing his right eyebrow to twitch, “I don’t know why you are doing this…but at this point you two need to get far away before everyone Cyrus just hurt….gets back at him…” Kihia started to unfreeze them both as a smile formed on his face, The catapult is complete…. Kihia looked at his two friends and said, “Have a nice swim….” As soon as Kihia finished that he pulled Icarus like a lever setting the ice catapult off, launching Quincy and Cyrus into the Ocean.

Kihia nodded and then walked over to Kari, “About what I needed to tell you about, a few days ago Naraca, Talen and I came across a burning village… It appeared to be caused by one man who was still there, He called himself Alakai…and he said..he was looking for you….” Kihia finished saying that with a grave tone and expression, and waited for Kari to react.

"Hm?" Kaseki felt the breeze past his head. "Are you trying to kill me? My head has yet to be rooted to my body, I just forged a new one a few days ago. You know, growing limbs takes time. Hmph."

Kaseki always was frustrated when he wasn't involved in things, but grew furious to find others having fun without him. "Now, are we going to cook or not?" Kaseki hated flames, or even the sheer cold of wind. He laughed within his mind, after all, his powers were based on Ice, and his spirit.. was a firey one.

"You know, it's been a while since I ate cooked food. Most of the time I eat the young animals left behind or rather feed off our great star's rays of sunlight." He smiled.

"Dad... You don't really eat young animals... do you?" Asked Maria.

"I have sworn to never lie.~"

Lilyan was talking with mariana just before something passed threw her very quickly and made her lose her balance and fall in the sand, she was very happy it was in the sand and not in any other place. She rubbed her head and laugh a bit, she tried to do it as silently as she could. She heard Maria asking if she was ok. "I think I'm complete" She said joking a bit. Then Kaseski really said something kind of disgusting and kind of creepy, he ate dead animals, that was disgusting. Lilyan got up and gave Maria her hand. "Ill give you a hand" She smiled at her and before she noticed, Quincy and Cyrus were flying threw the sky towards the ocean.

Quincy ate the strawberry quickly as Kari put it in her mouth. She liked strawberries on beach days. She took a deep breath and the ice dissipated as she fell to the floor shivering. Not even paying attention to what Cyrus had done. After she hit the ground she heard something about swimming and then noticed the catipult below her. She let out a scream as again she was launched into the ocean, this time with a companion. The day was almost over and the bet looked like it wasn't going to be successful for either of them.

Talen hurried along the streets of Hargeon, trying to reach the beach as soon as he could. He had overslept and was missing the beach party Kariline had organized, and there was always one thing at beach parties that Talen did not want to miss, barbecue! To make up for his lateness, Talen had grabbed a piece of Joya style spiced meat that he had been saving for a special occasion. He loved the spices that could be found in Joya, they offered a depth of flavor few others could offer.

When Talen reached the beach, he was surprised to see the chaotic mess that had been made prior to his arrival. Some guild members were on the ground, some of the food bowels were strewn on the ground and he could see what appeared to be a catapult made of ice. What did I miss? Talen asked himself as he took out two of his keys. "Gate of the Gambler, I open thee, Melissa. Gate of the Gorgon, I open thee, Medusa." Talen had promised the two spirits that he would bring them to the beach, Aello had wanted to come too, however he did not think that he could stop her from flirting with every male on the beach, and Talen did not want to deal with that.

Melissa had appered in her bathing suit, and went straight for the food that had not been knocked over yet. Medusa had appered in her normal clothing and simply found a nice spot and started sunbathing.

Talen walked over to Kihia and Kariline, and said "Hey guys sorry I'm a little late." Talen looked at the ice catapult once more before raising an eyebrow at Kihia. "Did i miss anything... exciting?"

The air grew dark as she slowly stood up. Her eyes were shut and her fist clenched. Earlier, she witnessed her bowl or assorted fruits getting knocked off the table and onto the sand. The precious food she had spent time planning and cutting. She worked all morning to make this possible, and they just pushed it aside. A black aura appeared around her, like she was wearing a cloak of shadows.

Kariline looked at Cyrus and Quinn. They were going to die. This was all there fault; and him! Kihia, couldn't he have just gotten in the water. With blood red eyes and a hungry power behind her, Kariline lashed out. Her voice thick and heavy, like a demon was speaking within her. " You... Y-You knocked. Over... MY FRUIT BASKET!!" She said.

Her eyes glared at Quinn who was currently launched off into the ocean by a catapult. She bucked up and was about to go off and retreive the girl who caused this trouble when Kihia mentioned a name. A familiar name that gave her nightmares. One she prayed to never hear again. This caused her to stop in her tracks, and her aura vanished. She stood there, wide eyes and not moving, barely even breathing. All that she could see was images of her past and her family. Alakai...

Kariline looked back at Kihia, with tears building up in her eyes, she wanted to be strong, but really.. she was afraid. " What? " She couldn't believe that they had met him, and made it out of there alive, and why didn't Naraca say anything? He was the only one that knew her past, and what Alakai had done.

At that moment, Talen had walked up, she just glanced at him, her facial expression said that she was lost, mostly in thought. Softly, and slowly she walked away from the group and sat off into the sand. He was coming back for her. He was coming to kill her. She then plopped back on the sand, Her hair stretched out behind her, and her bare skin showing as the sun sat in front of her. She had to get stronger, Alakai may have not killed them then, but what is to say he wont do it next time. She couldn't let that happen to her family.

Kihia looked at Kariline with a concerned look on his face, a mood change that quick over one person name was never a good sign. He saw Talen arrive, and looked at him with a frown on his face, “I just told her about what we came across a few days back…” Kihia gave Talen a solemn nod and walked over to Kariline and sat down next to her on the beach. He didn’t know how this Alakai person was related to Kariline, but it didn’t seem to be a good relationship…

Kihia sat there for a moment, and eventually said, “I know I may not be the best person to be asking this… but my teacher tried to instill some knowledge into me, although I have yet to grasp its full meaning or apply it yet… He said that some burdens are not to be carried alone… that they are to be carried by a group of close friends along with you…” Kihia sat there next to Kariline, he raised up his left arm and gently placed it on Kariline’s shoulder. “May I ask Kariline….just who is this man who is looking for you?...” He felt bad after asking this…he hadn’t told them about his past…his scars…but he felt those didn’t need to be brought to the light just yet…

Cyrus landed hard on the water, sinking down a bit before slowly floating back up. He began to tread water. Clearly his plan was not as thought out as he thought. Then he started to fear what awaited him when he got back to the beach. He sighed and decided to stay in the ocean a while. Looking to his right he saw Quincy in the water as well. To the cloud make mage, it appeared that she may be in need of his assistance. Despite the fact that she must have been a capable swimmer, that suit had to restrict her movement to some degree. He placed his arm under her shoulder blades to provide support and placed his hand below her ribcage. Using his other arm and his legs, he managed to stay afloat. "Let's just call off this bet Lady Quincy. I'll still go with you on that... err..." he said, thinking of what they had called it earlier, "Date, so long as you'd like me to."
