Eyewitnesses also reported that a giant squid appears before the arrival of the green fog. Your mission is to find out if the green fog and the giant squid's appearance are related. If so, find a way to stop it.

Creatures who are strong but not very smart.

As big as a house and can shoot poisonous barbs, so be careful.
Boss: Mother Giant Squid, the source of the green fog (A-rank)
Has tough armor like skin, and monstrous strength, able to crush its pray within moments of clutching it within its tentacles. It can shoot out a vast amount of poisonous barbs out of it's head that will paralyze anything B rank or lower, A rank creatures or mages will suffer severe dehydration, and hallucinations. The squid can also spray a highly toxic green mist from it's mouth that can tear through steel; though the mist doesn't paralyze, it will distort vision and the longer one is exposed to it, the more the poison eats away at their body.
Prize: 25,000 Jewels and the Mother Giant Squid's tough skin (the skin can absorb poison of A rank level, protecting the mage who fashions it into armor.)
NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. “Freezer Burn All” LYRICS. “Do the impossible, see the invisible.” NOTES. | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki A white haired young man stood at the gates of Karakuri City with his back leaning against the gate posts with a cup of shaved ice in his hands. It was here that Reiki Shikon had agreed to meet his adopted daughter, Sephiria, to undertake a rather peculiar mission. According to several eyewitnesses around the city and from those who live within the general vicinity of the Phoenix Mountains, a peculiar green fog could often be seen drifting down from the peaks of the mountains. According to the mission briefing for the job, if this green fog is inhaled, it causes a rather severe disease that corrodes the human body from within the longer one is exposed to it. Naturally, people have gone into a widespread panic all around the mountains, so it fell to Eclipse Soul to quell this epidemic. Reaching into his back pocket with his free hand, Reiki pulled out the mission flyer the Magic Council had written up for this job. In the report, it was said that eyewitnesses also saw a giant squid appear before the fog descended around midnight. A giant squid that lives in the mountains?? Seriously? Likaan…. though, I was technically raised by a talking lizard, so I guess I’ve experienced stranger things in my life. he said to himself, shoving the flyer back in his pocket and continuing to eat his shaved ice as he waited. When he actually thought about it, Sephiria had been gone away for quite some time since Reiki administered her B rank examination. It was quite a pleasant thing to finally hear back from her after so long; especially since she mentioned in her letter that she wanted to go on a challenging mission with him when she returned to the guild. While he wasn’t sure whether or not it actually existed, Reiki decided in his own mind that a giant, poisonous squid would be a suitable test to see how much Sephiria had grown in her time away from the guild doing jobs. While it seemed too soon after her B rank exam to be thinking about whether or not Sephiria was A rank material, Reiki had a gut feeling that told him she would be ready. Sephiria had already grown so quickly since Reiki had first met her but a month or so before the attack on Era. Reiki cracked a smile at the thought of Sephiria soon being just as powerful as he was. Turning his attention to the moonlit sky, Reiki kept his smile as he watched a forming storm system off in the distance. You’ve been a lot busier than I have… I guess being higher up on the Wizard Saints means they regard you as more valuable for dangerous jobs. I’m sure Sephiria misses you just as much… Kos tirahk, Alye, kolosalun hei los. Reiki muttered as he closed his eyes, remaining silent for a time. He then opened them as he laughed slightly, continuing to stare at the forming storm. Jeez, look at me, talking to a storm system as if you could hear me. I guess Azrael’s starting to rub off on me if I'm talking nonsense! I’m not entirely sure thats a good thing… he jested, tuning in to a loud snoring inside his head. Azrael was fast asleep at this point, which was a welcome change to Reiki. Perhaps for once his head would be quiet during a job. |
