"Ooooooh it's a MARVELOUS day!" a strangely dressed fellow cried out at the top of his voice, causing a few passersby by to glance in his direction in confusion and disgust at such an obnoxious outburst. Maximilian Hexworth was sat outside of a cafe in Magnolia, feeling the cool breeze and the warm rays of the sun...or rather the heat of it from beneath his bright pink parasol. It wasn't often that Maxie would laze about like this. Usually he'd be too busy singing and dancing or starting a massacre - or both - to even have time to consider lazing about. On this particular day though Maxie simply wanted a nice cup of tea in the sun. Who could blame him? He slogged through every single day to make himself renowned. Everyone deserves a bit of a break from time to time.
He was just taking another sip of his tea when suddenly the eccentric dark mage found himself shadowed by more than just his parasol. He lowered the cup to the saucer and placed it onto the table in front of him before raising his head to look at the figure that had approached him. The man was fairly scrawny, moreso than even the God Slayer himself. He had shoulder length brown hair and was wearing what Maxie assumed was a bakers uniform or something of the like. "Excuse me sir but...you look like a man who is here to see Estelle, so I was wondering if perhaps you could help me and in return I can help you."
Maxie had no idea who this 'Estelle' was, but nonetheless he nodded. "Ooh, do tell me more!" he replied eagerly, watching in mischievous glee as the man's face lit up. "Oh great! Well erm, basically I was hoping you could take this letter to her. If you can get within earshot and tell her Edward sent you, she'll tell the security guards to let you pass. I would take the letter myself but I really need to work." the man explained, holding an envelope out for the dark mage. Ooooh he had no idea what he was asking...
Maxie took the envelope and smiled warmly. "I will do exactly as you wish. I do so love 'Estelle', so the chance to speak one-to-one would be simply divine!"
Edward gave his thanks before heading off, leaving Maxie alone with the letter and his tea...which had now gone cold. Maxie's expression changed from one of serenity to one of pure disgust. The God Slayer got abruptly to his feet and stormed off towards the gates of Magnolia...and a large crowd of people. As he attempted to slip through the crowd he found himself thrown backwards by a larger man who glared down at him. "We were here first. Wait your turn asswipe." he snarled before turning away.
The snap in Maxie's head was so loud, it wouldn't have been surprising if anyone else had heard it. His rage was only fuelled further when he saw the body guards laughing at the chaotic crowd in front of them. He was livid. "Take this letter to Estelle...oh...don't you worry Edward...I'll take good care of this for you..." he muttered with a dark smile plastered all over his face.

Estelle stepped out of her carriage, her face stricken with sheer horror at the site before her. Magnolia, a town usually bustling with life and noise was now...lifeless and silent. Bodies lay strewn across the town's entrance, some dismembered while others were disfigured beyond recognition. But what terrified her the most was the figure walking calmly through the corpses with his parasol held open to shield the sun as he approached her, an envelope in his hand. "A letter from Edward Lady Estelle." Maxie spoke softly, offering her the envelope in such a casual tone that the celebrity felt almost sickened. "Oooh, please do open it! The suspense is KILLING me!"
This was the last straw for Estelle, who screamed at the top of her lungs, tears streaming down her face before passing out from sheer shock. Maxie tilted his head to the side and released a sigh. "I guess they just weren't meant to be..." He chuckled softly to himself for a moment then, unable to hold it back, burst into a fit of laughter. "Oh Maxie! At this rate you'll be as dead as the rest of them! PWAHAHAHA!" he howled as he removed his bloody gloves and rested them on the unconscious lady. "I do it all for free, your tears are all the pay I'll ever need!~"
