"W-what? But... I-I... Uh... I d-didn't... M-mean to..." was Ayeseru's reaction to Sephiria's reaction to the near collision with the tree. His cheeks were very clearly red from just the thought of Sephiria's "goods". He wasn't certain exactly what the young Poison Slayer was attempting to achieve by this, even though to others it'd be a smack of obvious. He wasn't certain how to break the awkwardness he felt; perks of never really being used to women and them actually showing such an interest in him.
Luckily for him, though, Sephiria was there to break the silence for him. "G-geez..." was his first response, directed to her sentence earlier, as he looked away in embarrassment; regaining his composure and normal speaking, he could respond properly, "Well... I would definitely like to hope so. It definitely doesn't seem boring, what we'll be doing."
Ayeseru paused momentarily, some redness returning to his cheeks, "H-hey, Sephiria...", Ayeseru began once more, "Do you think that after this job of ours... That... Maybe... We could...", he cut himself off immediately, shaking his head. "Never mind, it's not really important. Well, it shouldn't be that important to you." Ayeseru was outrageously not confident and completely oblivious to all signs that were given to him, which would even make him face palm if he ever saw himself from an outer source.
But then, that strange thing happened.
Once again, as Ayeseru was taking his normal glance towards Sephiria, it happened; the very same eye as before flashed the same colour and shade of red once more, bringing a sense of alarm in Ayeseru. He wasn't worried about her suddenly going on an outrage or hiding something; though her magical power was astounding, his was more than enough to keep it in check, he was more worried about what was causing it. Sooner or later, he would have to ask her about it.
He glanced forward and saw the dark orange sunset beginning to settle in nicely. They wouldn't have much time if they wanted to see the village and speak to them while they were in a good thinking fashion. Luckily, though, they were already at the eerie and rough "entrance" to the village they would be entering. He carefully placed Sephiria on her ground on her legs and sighed deeply. He shifted his head towards the young girl and spoke in a more concentrated and serious tone, yet it remained gentle at the same time.
"Alright. Sephiria, I know you're a Rising Star, and I know you're powerful, I'm just not certain if you've been in a job such as this.", he began, muttering, "I'm... Not sure how I can say this without seeming like a jerk, but... It's only because I care for you that I say this." He took a deep gulp, and spoke all at once, "This is going to be a very dangerous mission. The power of these beasts will be something unlike you've ever faced before, and, well, wearing that thing that's sealing away part of your power...", Ayeseru pointed towards her limiter, sensing its reducing output previously, "...It's going to be even more difficult. Just... Be careful here, alright? I dunno why but...", he stared at the ground, with a saddened look in his face.
"I feel as though... I want nothing to happen to you..." he muttered the last bit ever so quietly. He took another deep sigh. "If we're lucky, we might find the village leader with a functioning mind and still possessing the appearance that of a human before we have to do the deed. If not... Well, you know what we need to do. Aim to stop, not kill." He felt terribly bad about giving commands and such long talks, especially to Sephiria, so...
Carefully and nervously, he placed his regular hand on Sephiria's head, gently running it through her hair to possibly lower the possible tension, smiling brightly. "Let's get this job done before dusk. A personal challenge to both of us. However..." Ayeseru withdrew his hand, only to point it as though he had an idea, "I'll make things more interesting for you. If we can manage that... I'll give you anything you could possibly want, so long as it's within the realm of possibility. This only applies to you, and not me, so no worries!" He couldn't help but giggle.
"That seem like a goal worth aiming for?"
