Personality: However when he is with Janna Shade is a monster first and foremost, not caring about who or what he hurts to get his goals. He is a sociopath, not feeling the emotion of others and actually enjoying inflicting pain physically, emotionally or mentally. A sadist at heart he will continue to enjoy inflicting said torment on others. He does not feel remotely like a human and does not even try to hide it. Why should he? Very prideful and arrogant, he considers humans beneath him and Janna. In fact all lives are second class except him and Janna, but only because Janna is the reason that he is alive. If it weren’t for that, she would probably be his victim as well.
Shade is an interesting dichotomy, he can be described as a smart feral creature. There are times that he shows much more intelligence that he pretends to let out. However that seems to also means all of his actions are consciously evil or predatorial. The concepts of good and evil lost completely to him, except when taught by Janna who has mostly the same problems. As thus he shows no regret, no remorse and no pity. Everything is done with confidence of an alpha predator and with a world of prey there’s a lot of people to be eaten.
his personality is calmed down and changed. He becomes actually a mischievous and chaotic friend that is always supportive of her and the actions committed by this individual. He starts being this overprotective dog of sorts and makes sure that nobody touches her or hurts her. Otherwise those people tend to die a lot. Like the good pet that he is, he will obey and protect his host. Heck in a lot of ways this creature could be Jannas friend. Whether this is because he can’t survive without Janna or actually cares about her remains to be seen.
When he fights, it is like a monster hunting his prey. Always toying and taunting his prey until they are beaten, scared and alone. It is then that he will attack savagely and brutally, ignoring any screams for mercy. Mercy is for the weak and helpless, not granted for those that are too scared. After he is done killing them however, Shade will proceed to eat the enemy piece by piece until it is consumed and there is not a trace left. He will then proceed to eat any more bodies that are present, because he is always hungry. However despite all of this he also acts like a feral guard dog to Janna, protecting her as much from any damage He works in complete tandem with Janna’s magic and ability, boosting her combat strength with the manipulation of shadows and sometimes even becoming one with her. If there is anyone that’s on same side as him and Janna, then he completely disregards his safety in favor of Jannas. In fact if the ‘ally’ were to go down, he would gladly consume the corpse. One must never waste food.
Likes:Shadows- He is a creature of shadow and thus feels at comfort being in the darkness.
Janna- He was born from a fragment of her soul getting filled with shadows. Without her, he wouldn’t be created
Fear- He feels empowered when other people are scared of him. He is a monster after all.
Eating- He is the shadow that always hungers and thus will eat anything, food or people are the same.
Dislikes: Light- The brightness irritates Shade immensely and thus tries to stay away from it.
Janna Hurt: This will put cause Shade to go berserk and kill the culprit slowly… or eat him.
Innocent people: How can they have light in their souls in a world of black? They need to be eaten.
Motivations: Janna: She needs to live a long and prosperous life if he is to have one as well.
Survival: His main motivation in life is to survive as long as possible and live to fight another day.
Satisfy Hunger: He is always hungry and wants to be full, but it is never satisfied.
Fears: Janna’s Death: If she dies then so does he. He cannot exist without her and thus will live as long as she does.
Separation: He actually fears total separation from Janna, because he will cease to exist.
