Celestial Spirit Magic
Primary Magic: Celestial Spirit Magic
Secondary Magic: N/A
Caster or Holder: Holder
Description:
Celestial Spirit Magic is a Magic in which the user summons Celestial Spirits by opening their gates through the use of Celestial Spirit Gate Keys. These Keys are separated into two classes: the more common Silver Keys and the rarer Gold Keys. Keys for Celestial Spirits are counted in Units (collectively without regard of Gold or Silver), and a Celestial Spirit Mage is noted by how many Units they have obtained. Keys may be owned but before use the Bearer and Spirit must form a contract varying from the most important details such as requests in battle and devotion and small details on the days the Spirit is free.
The main point of this specific type of magic is the use of incantation, all gates require an incantation to be spoken to open the gate, unless the spirit has left to pass through their gate on their own accord, such incantations are usually along the lines of; "Open gate of the Golden Bull, Taurus" for example. The other important factor in this form of magic is its purpose as a holder magic. The Bearer must have the keys with them and use the specific keys to release their Celestial Spirits. The interesting part of this magic is the method in which it is cast; as the incantation is read each Celestial Wizard have their unique movement or releasing move and finally the turning of the key as if in a lock followed by the signature door bell to welcome the spirit.

Strengths:
- Keys – There are unlimited number of Celestial Spirits residing in the Celestial World and they can be bonded with contracts and keys.
- Abilities – Every Spirit have a variety of abilities and spells which are available to them uniquely.
- Strategy – Every Spirit is unique in their own ways and can be used with other techniques allowing the Bearer to plan all sorts of strategies.
Weaknesses:
- Keys – If a Celestial Mage happened to lose their keys, they cannot call forth any Celestial Spirit and their relationships will worsen.
- Losing Keys – There is a chance of losing the keys to another Celestial Mage.
- Contract – The Celestial Mage have to follow the terms stated in contract with every Celestial Spirit. If the Spirits are called when they have a day off, their relationship will worsen but some Celestial Spirits will not get angry but will follow their Bearer’s order willingly.
- Bonds - The Celestial Mage must have a good relationship with his Celestial Spirit to increase their power. If their relationship is bad, they might not follow the Bearer's order.
Abilities:
- Summon Celestial Spirits – A Celestial Spirit Mage is able to summon Celestial Spirits from another dimension by using the Keys of the Gates. Celestial Spirits can aid the Mages in battle, do chores for them, or even just play with them.
- Force Gate Closure – Closing the gates requires a mutual agreement from both the summoner and the spirit. However, some Celestial Spirit Mages have demonstrated the ability to force the gates to close in battle, compelling the Spirits to return back to the Celestial Spirit World.
- Multiple Summons – Summoning more than one Celestial Spirit uses up a lot of the summoner's Magic ability which may even lead to their death. However, some Celestial Spirit Mages have shown the unique capability to summon multiple spirits at the same time.
- Combination Attacks – If one is capable of using multiple summons, it gives them greater flexibility as he/she is able to combine the attacks of their Spirits to form new and more powerful ones, in a similar manner to Unison Raid. They can also use their own Magic in combination with another spirit to increase the power of an attack.
- Telepathy – On a couple of occasions, spirits have been shown to be able to communicate with their owner (via their keys) without being summoned.
- Taurus, The Guardian of the Gate to the Golden Bull:
Name: Taurus
Rank: D
Type: Offensive/ Defensive
Description:Taurus is an extremely tall, heavily muscular and athletic humanoid whose physical features are highly reminiscent of both a bull, as his theme implies, but, most notably, of a cow. His body is covered in a black and white pattern similar to those of dappled cows, and the upper part of it, from the waist up, seems more massive than the lower one. His head is bovine in shape, with small, elongated ears jutting outwards from the sides of his head, and a pair of horns, testifying him as a bull, sitting on top of it. He has dark eyes, and his flat nose bears a large golden ring in it, similar to those carried by real bulls. His muscular chest bears six udders, two on his pectorals and four on his upper abdominals, something which makes him yet again resemble a cow. The tail sprouting from his back, ending in a dark tuft, is quite small, if compared to the large mass of his body.
Taurus' massive body is mostly left bare: he's shown wearing a dark indument, similar to a pair of swim briefs, covering his groin, held up by a red, studded belt, with a circular, thin, golden metal buckle, with a pair of curved protrusions jutting outwards from it in its upper part. He also wears simple dark boots with lighter upper edges, consisting of three lines circling his legs, and has a red belt circling his neck, to which a golden cowbell is attached. His forearms are wrapped in bandages, and he wears brown fingerless gloves. Crossing his chest diagonally and passing over his right shoulder is a large, plain dark belt closed by a simple buckle, to which Taurus attaches his signature axe when he's not using it.
Taurus can be called forth when Negi has the Golden Key of the Golden Bull in his hands. Negi will swing his key downwards and says out the incantation; “Gate to the Golden Bull I open thee, Taurus!” A doorbell is heard and Taurus will appear coming out from his gate which will slowly disappear. Taurus will then withdraw his Axe, the Giant Labrys.
Negi’s contract with Taurus is on everyday except Mondays as Taurus would prefer to rest for a day even though he might sometimes appear to talk with Negi. Taurus also promised to give his life to Negi as long Negi promise to be his friend. That is how their friendship begins.- Taurus’ Spells:
Rampage – Taurus jumps into the air and swings his axe. He subsequently lowers the axe on the ground with both of his arms, generating an earthquake on contact, which moves in a straight line towards the target, splitting the ground and blasting rocks in the air. Whether the extent of this power is based on Taurus' own physical capability or involves Magic is uncertain.
Strengths:- Strength – As evident of his massive build and his role as a melee fighter, Taurus possesses a huge amount of physical strength, which is one of the main assets he provides his summoner with, being called forth when the situation requires a physically mighty individual. He's shown capable of swinging around his gigantic axe with ease, effortlessly chopping clean through hard objects such as rock or large trees, and can shatter the ground with his bare hands. He was also able to reduce a large barrier made of both wood and large boulders into pieces with a single punch, making it burst in an explosion of debris
- Master Axemanship Specialist – Taurus is a melee-oriented Celestial Spirit who utilizes an axe in battle, and, despite being sometimes portrayed as comically clumsy due to his perverse tendencies towards Negi’s female allies and his foes alike, has displayed great mastery in the use of such weapon: his attacks are not only powerful and capable of breaking through most defenses, due to his high physical prowess, but also fast, with him managing to assault opponents at high speed as soon as he's summoned.
- Labrys – Taurus possesses a signature weapon, this being a large twin-headed axe called a Labrys, which he's always shown carrying around. Such weapon possesses symmetrical blades, with light gray cutting edges and black central parts, which are adorned by light gray carvings; the carvings on both blades, when taken together, seem to represent a stylized horned helmet, in reference to Taurus' bull theme. The axe's blades are connected to a massive, long metal pole, which has the handled end wrapped in bandages and the upper, bronze colored end, near the blades themselves, ending in a conical point. When not in use, Taurus carries the axe around on his back, with the end to which the blades are attached pointing upwards, secured to the belt crossing his chest diagonally via an apposite metal hook.
Weaknesses:- Enormous Size – Taurus’ enormous body might not allow him to enter small openings that normal human can enter although Taurus might just break through the opening.
- Perversion – Taurus’ perverted attitude might cause him to be easily distracted by the female race.
- Fellow Spirits – Taurus does not like to fight fellow Celestial Spirits, even when he knows he must he still feels strange doing so.
- Easily Distracted – Even though not distracted by his perversion, Taurus can be carried away with his job to protect Negi that he might be too strict.
