Likes:
Silence - There is nothing better in the world than a moment of silence where a man can gather his thoughts. In Darius' case this is also a moment where he will look to his Gods for guidance.
Rain - The skies hold many things that are essential to life with rain being the one that truly sustains all. While this alone is enough for Darius to appreciate the rain, he himself is rather partial to standing within the rain and letting it soak his skin, cleansing himself for any task he has ahead of him.
Reading - Not everything that Darius follows is down to religion. Reading various religious texts are not uncommon for him, but he is perfectly happy to read anything that is put before him so long as it is well-written and interesting.
Justice - Although it’s usually his own special brand, Darius likes to see justice served to those who willingly spit in the faces of those they deem below them.
Dislikes:
Churches - It is perhaps ironic how a man who is so religious can hate churches with such a passion. This is due to his past dealings with them as a templar where he discovered how many churches would take money from their patrons as an 'offering' or 'charity' only to spend it upon their own selfish needs. Such a deceitful act has left him disillusioned.
Over-eating - Nothing is worse than eating far too much. Not only is it supposedly sinful, but it makes a man drowsy and potentially ill. It is for this reason that Darius will eat little and often rather than sticking to a set amount of large meals per day.
Snakes - These reptilian vermin are comparable to demons in the eyes of the ex-templar. Only very well-tamed snakes are permissible in his sights without him threatening to destroy them
Wasted time - If you’re going to meet Darius then make sure you’re on time (or better yet, early). He is not patient when it comes to getting things done and he won't wait around for anyone who can't keep track of their own time.
Motivations:
To create a new Templar Order - Having seen through the lies and deceit of his former order, Darius wishes to create a new order that truly acts in the interests of the people. Naturally this begins with the destruction of the Old Order.
To find answers - Religion always brings up a million and one questions that no-one can answer. These questions are what cause feuds. Darius wishes to be the voice that ends all doubts and wars raised and caused by religious debates.
To try different things - While a part of the Old Order there were many things Darius was unable to do. Now that he is free from their binds he wishes to try out all of these things in time and make up for the experiences he missed out on.
Fears:
Failure - To fail at his task is to show weakness. To show weakness is to give the opponent free reign over you. Therefore failure is not an option.
Rice - Darius has an unexplainable fear of rice. Perhaps it was due to hearing about someone being tortured with it, or perhaps there's simply something about it he doesn't like. Whatever the case, he hates it more than anything in the world.
Eternal Life - While many would see eternal life as a blessing, Darius would view it as a vile curse. He doesn't wait for death, but will openly embrace it when his time comes. To live forever is not only selfish, but a waste of a life that is supposed to be precious.
