Naziel continued to drink, and although he could feel the power flowing through him he felt like something else was needed to activate the power that was Dragon Force. He sat on on the bottom of the pool drinking and enjoying his meal but also contemplating everything that had happened up till now. He had gone at his master with all of his strength, he had tried countless attempts to stop her, but the ability to change her flames as well as her speed made her a truly vicious opponent. He had little choice but to keep trying. Even though he knew this was an exam and he needed to pass, he knew that he could not defeat his opponent. Not many could.
Naziel began to wonder what he heard above the water, the swishing noise of something sharp. Perhaps a sword? A spear? Arrows? The possibilities were endless but all he could do was consider what would be waiting for him once he resurfaced.

Chikane continued to look up in the sky, before her attention fell back to the pool of water and Naziel. The water dragon was a very interesting person outside of fighting, being one of the people who initially distrusted her when she first came to the guild. The young man had accused her of being a Magic Council spy, which had slightly gotten underneath the white haired demon’s skin at the time. It took some will power for her to not switch into her demonic form on the spot, but Chikane managed to power through. Eventually, the two spoke again and had gotten friendlier with each other after she continuously proved her loyalty was to Fairy Tail and not the Magic Council. When she accomplished that, Naziel had become fiercely loyal. Chikane didn’t exactly know what it was, but she was certain that the water dragon would come to defend her and the guild whenever it was needed. Chikane liked that about him, and wanted to get to know more about the water dragon after the exam was over and done with.
Chikane closed her eyes for a moment and thought about everything that had happened between her finding Hono no uta and now. She would have never thought that she would become the guild master of Fairy Tail, nor get as strong as she had. The young woman had improved leaps and bounds since she had acquired Hono no uta fully, and she could only grow stronger from now. It was an impressive feat to her, and she could only imagine what she could accomplish now on.
Shaking her head to clear the random thoughts, Chikane once again opened her eyes to the pool of water. Naziel should be coming out soon enough, and she needed to be fully prepared for that moment.
Naziel could feel the power rising within him, as he sat there biding his time until this mysterious power was unlocked. He was then met with flashbacks from his past. He remembered the first time he had met Hydrianna, in the lake deep in Magnolia forest he approached he lake when the mighty dragon rose from the depths and he felt no fear. He could feel his eyes shake as another image flashed into his head. Not a pleasant one. The image from his youth, the day his parents were murdered. He remembered being thrown under the floor boards as dark Wizards broke into his home and murdered his parents in cold blood. His eyes shot open as he could feel the water around him begin to shake, sending ripples surging through the water as he began to realize what Dragon Force was. The final image flashed in his mind of his welcome into Fairy Tail, his friends in front of him all smiling and laughing, the tears as Mari Windsor left and then the emblem of Fairy Tail burning bright like a light in the dark.
Chikane felt Naziel’s magical power rising, and knew that he would be coming out of the water soon. The white haired demon picked her blade up off the ground and started stalking away from the pool of water. She would pretend to be leaving the field, hoping that Naziel would take the bait to attack her. Even if he didn’t he would still have to eventually come out of the water in order to attack her at some point, and thats when she would begin her counter attack.
Chikane swung her blade on her shoulder, while still walking away from Naziel and the pool of water. The white haired guild master would have continued walking if a voice hadn’t made her stop dead in her tracks.
“The water dragon has caught your attention, young one?”A voice echoed in the mind of Chikane, making her stop and slightly smile at hearing it again. Looking at the blade in her right hand, Chikane began to speak out loud to it.
“Yes he has! Naziel has potential, so much in fact that I can’t wait to see how far he goes.” Chikane spoke aloud, which would definitely confuse anyone listening in.
“Hm. Just make sure you control yourself. You don’t want to fry the kid now, or make him never able to have children or something like that.”The voice reminded her, making her sheepishly chuckle and wince at her intentions of going slightly all out. The voice was silent, making the flame mage sweat nervously as she nodded slowly.
“I will….uh……..make sure to be extra careful!” Chikane spoke in a rushed tone, turning back towards the pool with a rising blush on her face. The white haired guild master couldn’t blame herself if she couldn’t control how wild and fierce she became during a good fight. Of course the last time she lost control during a fight, she nearly blew up a village with one of her S-ranked spells.
She didn’t know if Naziel could withstand one of those point blank.

Naziel's eyes had truly awoken as all of the memories he held came flooding back in a matter of seconds, all of the pain he experienced. He finally had drank enough as he felt the power explode within him. He had everything crystal clear in his mind. The swimming pool exploded as water was sent flying in every direction and a crater flooded as Naziel launched himself from the dust as it exploded away from him, his whole skin had gone a silvery blue, his eyes, gore red with a dragon slanted pupil that glared at the image of Chikane walking away from him. He launched himself forward; " ARGH!" He roared! He knew anyone that saw him now would have seen the image of a dragon. His Dragon. Hydrianna, fighting with him now. With one press on the ground, he was launched towards the Fairy Tail master; " You may be the Master of Fairy Tail, but don't you EVER TURN YOUR BACK ON ME?!" He appeared behind her with a deep growl, kicking the ground to bound over the top of her as he landed in front of her, his eyes were terrifying as they glared into her own, tearing into her soul; " Don't you dare turn your back on me! I know I cannot win this fight, but there's no god damn way you're gonna get the privilege of walking away." He took one solitary foot forward as he panted his whole attittude was different, he was no longer just an 18 year old boy. He was a Dragon.
"Fairy Tail is not something you just take over, Fairy Tail is the home of all of us! I have lost so much in my life, my parents dying, Hydrianna vanishing and then Sabertooth falling? NO MORE! Fairy Tail is the one thing I hold in my heart that can not be broken. IT WILL NOT BE BROKEN!" He roared; "The reason I get back up time and time again is because of one simple fact... I do it for my family, for every single person in that guild. I DO IT... FOR FAIRY TAIL!" The magic Seal appeared around his fists; " Water Dragon Pressure Fist!" He pulls his fist back with all of his might and propelled it forward. He was not sure if this blow would hit or not but he had the power of a dragon surging through him at this very moment and that is not a power to take lightly.
Chikane felt herself grow excited when Naziel finally appeared from the water and began his passionate speech. She felt proud that he would stand up to anyone, even someone with her power, for his beliefs. His loyalty to Fairy Tail was unquestioned, which just made the white haired guild master all the more happy. He was already proving himself to her more and more, he just needed to finish this fight strong.
And that meant Chikane had to let go of some of her own restrictions.
Chikane saw the dragon slayer approach for a punch, which moved a bit faster than his earlier ones but not fast enough to catch the guild master off guard. Chikane used her Cold Step spell again, flashing away and leaving the trail of blue flames that it regularly left. Using it twice more, she was now a good distance away from the dragon slayer. Chikane hefted her blade onto her shoulder once more, her face turning into one of indifference.
“That was a wonderful speech and all, but you must answer a few simple questions for me.” As Chikane spoke, her body began to undergo a few changes. Her hair began to darken, till it turned a complete ebony black color. Her skin paled, till it was a deathly white color. Her eyes changed from their lovely hazelnut color to a sickening yellow. On the pieces of her skin that could be seen, slight flickers of purple flames appeared every now and again. This change was one that Chikane was definitely used to. It wasn’t one she liked doing, but it was one she was going to do for Naziel to fight an opponent that would hold little back.
It was her demonic side, who looked at Naziel with apathy in her eyes.
“How will you protect Fairy Tail if you admit defeat? How will you protect anyone if you admit that you cannot beat someone even if you haven’t tried? You shouldn’t say these things unless they come true. So…” Chikane lit a purple fire in her left hand, looking at it for a split second before turning back to Naziel.
“Come at me with the intent to win. Otherwise, I will never respect you.” Her voice was harsh, cold and left no question that this was almost a different person than the kind and bubbly guild master that was sparring with Naziel earlier. But it also held a hint of warmth, as even while she was a demon Chikane would help the water dragon slayer grow.
Grow to be a legend worth noting.

Naziel stared at his master for a moment as his punch had missed, but her change in form would not alter his will to fight. He launched himself forward once more;" ARGH!" he cried as he propelled himself at the guild master. He threw another volley of punches hoping one would hit before diving to the right taking a knee as he launched himself into the air to go for an airborne volley; "You don't understand do you... You misinterpret my words. As a strategist I know that I cannot win this fight with my power alone, our levels are on different scales, by my Fairy Tail heart will not let me lose!" He growled as another Magic circle formed before his legs; "Water Dragon Talons!" He cried as he legs became incased in high volume water , scaled and fixed with talons as he threw the leg towards his Master's chest.
He predicted that she would make a move or disappear once more but if not he had a surprise waiting for her. "One thing you have not noticed yet master..." He let his words hang in the hot air.

Dodging the punches he threw at her as elegantly as she could, the demon side of Chikane had no problem making the water dragon slayer more aggravated at her. When he went to take a knee, Chikane scoffed at Naziel’s words. Her demonic side didn’t understand the point of making excuses of why he believed he couldn’t win. Strategic disadvantage or not, he should never admit defeat towards any opponent in any way. This was the case with herself, as she knew that it took as much brawn as it did brain and heart to defeat someone. Chikane would never admit defeat, not until she was beaten and broken on the ground. And even then, she would still be defiant till she could no longer.
“You seem to not have heard me correctly then.” She coldly stated after using Fire Flash to gain some distance between the two of them, also dodging his water dragon talons. “You admit defeat as a strategist, which I find all the more disappointing. You should never give anyone the information that you believe you will not win. Because it proves that you don’t fully believe in yourself, and no amount of Fairy Tail heart can change that. You always give it your all and leave it all on the battlefield.” Chikane spoke while her blade’s flames began to increase in height. Her short speech was attempting to shed some light towards what she meant for Naziel to do. Hoping to keep lighting the flames underneath him, Chikane continued to speak. “I don’t want you to admit that I’m better than you in any way! I want to see the dragon in you fight me as an equal, not as your master. Right now, I am Noriko Hitsugaya. A fellow mage, an equal, a fighter just like yourself. I am not your guild master, I am someone you aim to defeat! I want you to leave it all here, otherwise I will not respect you at all. You have the spirit of a dragon, show me it now!” Chikane’s voice had grown in tone slightly, but her impassive face had stayed all the same. She was proud of Naziel already, but he had to respond carefully to her speech. Even in his dragon force state, if he said the wrong thing towards her demonic side, he would pay for it.
“Show me what you are really capable of Naziel Stormbringer! I want nothing but your best!” Chikane exclaimed while preparing herself for a move she wanted to use for a while now. It wasn’t her strongest spell by any means, but it was supremely fun to practice.
She wanted to test it out in actual battle however, so she wanted Naziel to slip up slightly.
Naziel gritted his teeth at his master; "Why don't you just shut the hell up! You want me to treat you like an enemy then so be it!" He screamed in fury. His let out a trumendous roar that sounded like a terrifying animal, his true self was being set free, after all the years he had to deny its existance he was finally becoming the dragon he was born to be. He charged forward, he had the overwhelming feeling like he had something that he never knew he had. He charged forward, kicking his talons, throwing punches after punch. "You want me to fight like I have no option then fine I will fight with every intent to WIN!" The dragon slayers eyes were glaring into the demon's in front of him.
Naziel jumped back and made an all out sprint digging his feet into the ground as launched himself into the air above his opponent, with a Spin a new Magic circle appeared as the Image of Hydrianna would be seen in his opponents minds eye. The dragon was finally set free within him; " WATER DRAGON WING ATTACK!" With a looping of his arms two giant torrents of water exploded from his arms like maelstroms as he screamed down at Chikane; " Chikane! Dragons are feared for a reason! HYDRIANNA!" He roared with the voice of a dragon as it echoed thorough the guild hall, through the streets... All of Magnolia was awoken to this dragons fury and heart. He slammed the colossal attack down upon the ground where he believed Chikane was stood, the earth exploded in the area sending debris flying 20 feet into the air as a massive dust cloud exploded through the Guild's grounds.
(OOC Chikane permitted to use Water Dragon Wing attack as I am in dragon force currently putting me to B rank and it will be a B rank spell of mine.)

Chikane taunted Naziel once more while he was angered, basically giving him a bring it motion with her free left hand. Chikane wanted him to attack with all his fury, anything he had left in his tank should go towards attacking her. She was his guild master yes, but she was also someone who wanted him to grow. And as her teacher Akosh would always state, she believed that one could only be taught if they are shown the harsh realities, shown what life is truly like and how one can grow stronger only by pushing every limit they have. When the water dragon rushed her with attacks, Chikane dodged once more, but she also allowed a few to connect so that he could get some anger out on her currently. Her blade was still blazing with the icy cold blue flames, but she stayed her hand until he gave her a clear shot at knocking him down a notch.
As Naziel hopped in the sky, an image of a dragon appeared to Chikane. However, she was no longer impassive. Her face was formed into a smiling visage, as she was now content with how much the water dragon was putting into this fight. He finally took her on as a complete opponent, and would not hold anything back.
That meant she could finally use her attack.
Naziel attacked with a dragon’s wing attack, sending a torrent of water her way. Taking that as her cue, Chikane cocked her right arm back and let her entire blade be engulfed in those blue flames. She then took a single step forward, and called out the name of her attack. “HONO NO BUMERAN!” The white haired guild master launched the blade in the air directly towards his water attack. The blade managed to slice through the water, neither destroying or being stopped by the attack, and continue on its path directly for Naziel. Meanwhile, Chikane had to deal with the torrents of water coming at her. Deciding to take the easiest path, she held her arms up in a ‘x’ form and waited for the attack to hit.
When it did, she held her ground for as long as she could. The guild master allowed it to hit, simply so she could be hidden in the aftermath of the attack.
And when the dust settled, she would then make her move.
Naziel watched the destruction but through it came a arc of power that sliced his shoulder as he cried out heading to the floor, blood exploded from the wound as he came crashing to the ground. The impact crater his body made only pushed him harder as he let out a demonic laugh, pulling himself up as he slowly began to walk forward, the smirk on his face as he laughed, his gore red eyes still held their dragon appearance but his aura was pure dragon, Naziel had allowed all of his power to explode forth and he now was relishing in the fight as he still had a few tricks up his sleeve.
He sprung forward, fist pulled back, but instead of aiming for Chikane which it appeared he would do, he slammed his fist into the ground forcing a massive crack in the floor that sent a explosion of boulders in front of the dust cloud as he had one final idea. Magic circles formed on his arms; " Water Dragon Whirlpool lash." His voice was cold and unrelenting as he swung the whips at torso height. Not to slash her, but to catch her.
Chikane raised her right hand up after her blade had been gone for a slight amount of time. Knowing what would happen in a few short moments, she simply patiently waited until it came back to her hand. Feeling the familiar weight settle in her hand, Chikane waited to see what the water dragon slayer would come up with. She didn’t exactly have to wait long to know what became of him, as a loud crashing sound echoed throughout the area. Certain he would attempt something, Chikane held her blade behind her in case she needed a quick movement for an attack.
She didn’t really expect the slayer to grab her torso with two whips.
Chikane’s demon side, which normally is used to being cold and ruthless, blinked before turning her head to the side confused.
Naziel smirked as glowing red eyes were the only thing that could be seen through the dust cloud along with his black silhouette, he tightened the whips as they coiled more and more around chikane's body. Naziel walked forward through the Dust could his eyes and face were cold and expressionless, like a hunter staring at prey. He stopped just short of her; "I figured you out. Your flames show a lot about you Chikane... Your red flames burn and your Blue Flames freeze... So what happens if you are covered in water I wonder?" He was no more than 2 feet away from her as the Magic Seal appeared as he took a deep breath, his chest expanded expenentially; "Water Dragon Ocean Spray!" He bellowed hoping his torrents of water would hit her body like bullets. It could only be seen as a waterfall of water that could begin to cling to her body, his whips holding her tight.
"I expect that water will freeze on your body before long with those flames... But just too be sure... I'LL END THIS NOW!" He cried as his leg exploded in water as it formed his dragon talons, pulling his leg back and with an almighty bellow he aimed a kick for the side of her head, if it connected she would be propelled into the wall on the other side of the court yard.
Chikane’s face returned to its impassive nature once again, as Naziel came out. When he began to speak about her flames, Chikane silently changed the nature of them from icy to burning once again. Him blabbing slightly about his thoughts only made her own mind run at a faster pace. She would have to kick that habit of his, hopefully he wouldn’t mind if she proved him completely wrong about it. Chikane watched Naziel throw a spell at her, probably hoping that the water would probably freeze on her body. What the water dragon forgot, is that her entire body could morph into flames. This meant that anything that would touch her body could pass through the flames, barely or not affecting her at all.
Chikane didn’t do that. Instead, the water hit her but evaporated on the touch. The white haired demon calmly dropped her blade on the ground, to where her right hand was free once again. Igniting it on fire, Chikane waited for Naziel to make what she felt should be his final move.
Once the water dragon moved his leg towards Chikane’s head, the guild master acted once again.
Ducking his kick, Chikane raised her body temperature so that the whips on her person would boil and turn into water vapor almost immediately. Chikane then jumped slightly in the sky, with her fist cocked back in preparation. Once her body had reached Naziel, the normally white haired guild master launched her fist directly for his face. It was an improvised version of her Flaming Superman Punch, but it was the same spell nonetheless.
Once the attack hit his face, Naziel was sent flying away from his guild master. Chikane made a few ‘tsk’ noises, and shook her head after her landing.
“As a strategist, you should remember everything about your opponent. You failed to remember that I also could evaporate the water on touch, hence why your plan failed to come to fruition.” Chikane scolded Naziel, but was secretly worried on the inside. She didn’t know if he could take a full A-rank spell to the face, which was why she refrained from attacking him directly during the fight.
If she hurt him too much, she would never be able to live with herself.
Naziel felt her fist connect as his body shuddered from the force, he was sent in a spiral as he crashed to the floor, slamming several times against the hard cold soil beofre he finally came to a stop laying on his back, he could feel bloody trickle down his face and body, one of his eyes was forced closed with bruising and he let out a small chuckle; "huh... I'll remember not to go shouting my mouth next time..." He coughed for a moment showing blood. The impact from the punch had caushed him to hit the ground at around 50 MPH at least, he knew full well he probably had a few cracked ribs in there somewhere.
Regardless of how hurt his body was he knew he was beaten, but yet he laughed... Why was he laughing? Was it for his own knowledge of defeat? No. It was because much like his master, he wanted her to try, to try like he did. He didn't want an exception because he was a lower rank. He couched once more as he spoke, knowing she would hear his words; " Hey Chikane... Do you know the true symbol of Fairy Tail.. A symbol we alone know?" He lifted his hand slightly as he continued to speak; " It is our symbol, our knowledge that even when we cannot see one another we will always be with them... It is also our symbol of unison, our symbol of our devotion to one another... T-Thank you..." He couched again and lifted one arm to cling to his ribs; "You gave me a match I will not forget... Now do me the final honour of letting me get myself up... I want you to walk back to the Guild hall on my own two feet... Please. That symbol I spoke of.. Is shown when we believe in that person, when we know they are doing their best... When we accept the pain of one another." With that he shakily lifted his remaining arm into the air as a fist. Slowly his fingers unclasped to form an L that showed clearly to the Guild Master as he lay still on the ground, he smiled; " Fairy Tail.. You got a good one here..." He thought to himself as he gave a sigh. Naziel's eyes began to darken and his hand fell hitting the ground, still holding the heart of Fairy Tail in his hand in the shape of 'L'.
Chikane picked up her huge blade, grabbed her cloak from where it had fallen and walked over towards Naziel’s downed body, her face showing general concern even in her demon form. She had hoped that she didn’t overdo it, but from the looks of it she did a real number on him. The water dragon slayer looked like crap, one of his eyes was shut against his own will and he had blood pouring down his face. The guild master was also sure that he had a few other injuries, as the bouncing he did while flying away was definitely not the kindest thing to happen to anyone. In all of the flame mage’s honesty, she would have thought him to be a bit bitter about the loss. To have been saddened that he could not defeat the opponent he had fought with all of his heart.
Yet he was laughing. Which made Chikane smile, as her body shifted back into her human form.
Naziel gave his guild master a heartfelt speech about Fairy Tail’s true symbol, which only made her smile grow slightly wider. He was a fighter, and she was certain that his abilities would only help him go far in life. Chikane listened in intently to each and everything that the water dragon told her, feeling all the more proud of taking the opportunity to become Fairy Tail’s guild master. She was proud of all of the members, even if some didn’t like her like others did. She wanted them all to succeed in life, with her guidance as a small beacon.
Chikane wanted all of them to achieve their dreams.
Once he had finished and gave Chikane his request, it seemed that Naziel had finally drifted off into the sweet bliss known as unconsciousness. Chikane had to sigh and shake her head, placing her sword on her lower back using her cloak as a makeshift holder. “You know Naziel, I am going to have to deny that request. You can’t move worth a damn, and I kinda need to get you some help.” Chikane hoisted the water dragon up on her shoulders in a fireman’s carry, although she teetered a bit before standing straight. She huffed before looking towards Naziel’s unconscious face. “You know you’re heavier than Hono no uta, right?” The flame mage joked, not sure that he could actually hear her or not. Chikane walked towards the guild hall again, but while she was walking the guild master decided to speak to the dragon slayer once again.
“Naziel Stormbringer. You truly have amazed me. Your heart and determination are well noted, and you have talent that many can only wish for. While the end of our fight wasn’t what I was truly expecting, I have to commend you for fighting with everything you had until the end. I might have been the better fighter, but you didn’t exactly fail at showing how smart you truly are.” Chikane chuckled at the end, knowing that he was close to trapping her with some of his plans. The white haired demon looked towards the sky, a soft smile still playing on her face. “Fairy Tail has taught me so much in my little time here. You have all already become my family, and I will do anything to keep you all safe. Even if it costs me my own life, I want to ensure you all stay the way you are.” Chikane’s smile turned into a saddened one, as she looked at the ground while still walking. “I remember my own family. They taught me to always keep what was precious to me safe. No matter what the cost. I didn’t understand it back then, but now I think I know. All of Fairy Tail would fight for the guild, even if they died in the process. So long as what they loved stayed standing, they would be at peace. I would do the same for all of you.” Chikane decided she had done enough babbling, and turned to Naziel one last time with a bright smile on her face.”You will make a great mage Naziel Stormbringer. I hope you like being known as a B-rank mage now.” Chikane finished, before noticing they had reached the guild hall doors.
“Oh! Well…...that’s awfully convenient.” Chikane spoke while looking like she had forgotten she was going towards her guild hall.
At least she was serious for the fight.
((OOC: Congratulations Naziel, You are officially a B-rank mage now.))
