it was a cool summers evening when Daichi finally arrived at the Beanstalk Village. His black suit jacket hung loosely around him, while he marched onward making sure to keep a close eye on the beanstalk in the center of the village. He was maintaining his cool demeanour, trying not to let people see the genuine excitement he hid beneath the slightest of grins. This was truly going to test just how well he could help people, and that's all Daichi ever wanted to do. these people needed his help, a cursed farmland would not allow the growing of crops. Daichi needed to know more, this vague description given to him before his travels didn't help much, so he travelled towards the farm, in hope of finding whoever tended the land, so as to ask them questions.
It didn’t take long for Daichi to get a feeling that something wasn’t right here, there was an ill feeling upon the wind. A shiver ran up Daichis back, enough to make him ponder whether doing this alone was a good idea. Still steadfast in his attitude to help, gaining more intel would be his best choice of action from here. Finding the farm wasn’t to difficult, after a matter of moments, Daichi stumbled across an area that seemed to glow with an eerie presence, like some kind of dark magic was afoot. “The curse!” Daichi’s excitement shone through as he let slip the slightest of whisper to his thoughts. Suddenly Daichi saw something through the corner of his eye, movement, something unnatural, something unhuman and not of this world…

A group of about 8.. no  wait 10 creatures are all feasting upon the crops. They Appear to have been cloaked somehow, but have revealed themselves simply from Daichi’s arrival, whether that boads ill, or well was yet to be seen. Daichi took a moment to stare at these creatures, who in turn seemed to be doing the same. In fact the creatures seemed to be gathering around him so they could all get a better view of what was happening. They appeared almost cute in nature, with their giant bulbous red bodies, and tangled vines for hands and fee t. Daichi was unsure of what to do when they began to talk.
“ Lookie what we have here boy’s,  a bonified mage. I wonder whether there’s any skill to go with that power of his?” the biggest of the group barked out in what can only be called the most garish and squishiest of sounds now known to man. This first statement was quickly followed by a barrage of other statements along the lines of not likely, or you really call that power. It was quickly becoming obvious to Daichi that these tomato like creatures, were not as cute as they appear to be.
It didn’t take long for Daichi’s suspicions to be proven, as The now to be thought of as leader of the tomato people, leaped into the air in an attempt to slam into him. Daichi simply took the hit, grunting slightly as the tomato simply bounced of and rolled towards his previous place shouting “ show him what real power is Boys!”

Almost immediately the tomato creatures flung themselves at Daichi, it was like a flurry of well… tomatoes. The first one went in for another body slam, much like it’s master before him, having seen the manoeuvre before Daichi easily blocked it by flinging his left arm up to his right shoulder in a wide arch, quickly doing a similar movement by sweeping his right leg up in a clockwise circle in front of him, blocking a secondary Tomato body slam, sending them both rolling away together into a small pile. The 3rd and fourth tomatoes were smarter though, and jumped on top of their brethren, and then from them, into the air, coming in for a belly flop from both the right and left hand sides. The left side came out of nowhere, this new tactic caught Daichi completely unawares, as a result he took a fleshy tomato straight to the head, sending him reeling backwards, and out of the path of the 4th assaulter, who simply smooched themselves into the ground. The next few seconds became a blur, as Daichi ducked and weaved, throwing all limbs up in a precise order to block not only the original preferred combat choice but this new belly flop technique as well. It was truly a wondrous sight to see, as the villagers all seemed to gasp or cheer at every new attack. It wasn’t until the last tomato made for its attack that Daichi noted that they had all somehow become lumped within a small group of each other. “This is why you should fear us!” it said before proceeding to vomit, what appeared to be ketchup right at Daichi, but luckily for him, the trash talk had made the poor little thing forget to aim, so it hit a nearby fencepost instead, throwing it clean from its hole. Definitely an attack which would be better to dodge when possible, but by the looks of things they were all getting ready to send one big Jetstream right at him together, leaving Daichi with no other choice.
Daichi placed both hands out in front of him, overlapping the fingers and thumbs, to produce a sort of triangular shape, he could feel his magic rising. A moment later a magic circle appeared from beneath the tomatoes, blanketing almost all of them within it…

    Exploding earth attack.

Daichi could feel the earth beneath the tomatoes begin to solidify, and charge itself ready to explode. A thought crossed over his mind, if he could feel it, could these tomatoes, quick to answer the leader of this amalgamation of tomatoes tried to make the others run from the circle, but only a couple followed in his path. A few seconds later and the earth beneath them shattered and exploded, sending shards of reinforced earth in every direction, shredding through the tomatoes, exposing the fleshy ketchup from within. The shards travelled at frightening speeds, tearing through them, and then suddenly it was over. There was a hole in the ground about half a meter thick, covered in a fleshy ketchup mess. Shards of earth scattered in every direction. The leader of the tomatoes was obviously not impressed and quickly responded with a blast of its own. Through the dust of the attack, Daichi didn't notice it coming until it was too late, he was sent flying into the crops, and could feel the wind beaten out of him.
It wasn't until Daichi crashed into a nearby scarecrow that Daichi realized the funny side of his food fighting back. The once adorable little tomatoes now just made him laugh, and he could see this enraged them even more. Dusting of the remains of the scarecrow Daichi could see the tomatoes coming back for him, but wait they were being followed by…

A small group of corn, no wonder the tomatoes felt so brave and talkative, they weren't the only ones in the area, and they clearly didn't mind fighting in a group, this was a fight that Daichi didn't want to last long, who knows how many more were out there, and if they were as smart as they seemed they wouldn't fall for his exploding earth spell again. This situation kept getting worse, but Daichi kept a calm head, he knew he had to keep the plants intact, and also needed to clear the area of these creatures. But their numbers and strength was unknown to him. There were at least 5 of the corn creatures, and only 3 of the original tomato creatures left. Daichi was outnumbered, he needed to change that, or at least disorient them. “That’s it you yellow beauty’s pop his corn!” The tomato leader apparently taken control of these corn creatures, obviously holding a grudge for turning his friends into a salad.
After a few seconds the corns had Daichi surrounded and began to barrage him with what can only be explained as a continuous wave of corn. Each one that hit stung like hell, Daichi could tell he was going to be covered in bruises after this fight, but other than simply making sure his eye’s weren't hit Daichi made no effort to move, he needed to find out where his tomato friends had gotten to, another gush from that, and He wouldn’t know his surroundings enough to fight back. It took him a good few seconds to take in his surroundings enough to see that the lead tomato had left his 2 followers behind to keep an eye on the corn, while the leader had most likely gone for reinforcements.
Taking this into account, Daichi needed to get to that squishy little devil before he found more reinforcements, Any more creatures and Daichi might not be able to handle this on his own. “ not so tough now are you!” there off to his right, he just needed to get through and take that one out, then he could double back on these creatures, and regain his bearings before another group arrived. Daichi ran straight for one of the corns, who simply increased his barrage in an attempt to make Daichi think twice, all it did was give him what he wanted. Daichi focused his mind, and could feel the earth underneath the corn bending to his will, and simply threw his left arm from the right to the left, sending the corn and it’s barrage barreling of in the direction of its allies. That was the opening he needed and he rushed of only turning back to glance at what damage he had done..

Turns out they weren’t expecting for that to happen either, 2 of his corn brethren took a full blast of corn to the stem, almost rupturing them to pieces, but not quite. Where the earth and corn had landed the nearby tomato got completely ripped into pieces sending a ketchup mess all over the corn that had managed to duck behind a nearby rock for cover. 1 more tomato down, good, and 2 of those corn looked badly damaged. This fight will be going a lot better if Daichi could just find where that wretched tomato had run of to. “Hungry for another but whooping, that’s fine with me boy!” Just to his left, Daichi barely had enough time to dive roll forward out of the reach of the tomatoes attack. Which was perfect for him, as it allowed him full access to the tomatoes location. Pushing himself immediately back onto his feet, Daichi made a dash to the left, weaving between some particular long pieces of corn, and cutting of the Tomatoes retreat.
A nearby plant erupted in a barrage of corn, obviously Daichi’s previous group had recovered and were close on his heels, no time for them now, the tomato was the most important target. Daichi could hear it panting as it ran for its life, obviously trying to direct him to another of his little friends, not this time. Daichi needed to cut it off, while giving himself a chance to take it out without being attack, he gathered both his hands up in front of him, and pushed them of to his left, pushing with all his magic. In about 3 seconds a 6 feet tall and wide wall had appeared in front of the tomato and blocked it’s path, it ran straight into it and lost its Bearings for a few seconds. This might be Daichi’s only chance, so he took it, dancing in between the crops, and the barrage of corn, Daichi dived for a nearby rock, grabbed it and then rolled to the left, and with his right hand smashed it into the Tomato, sending it into the newly erected wall, forcing it to explode into a ketchup mess. Target down, Daichi barrel rolled to the end of the wall and sprung back onto his feet, dashing behind it again to regain his bearings.

The population of living vegetables around here was definitely not a friend of Those who choose to interfere with their feeding habits. Daichi’s wall was standing up against the attacks for now, but with small fragments already falling off from it, he knew it wouldn't take much more from their constant barrage. Daichi needed to find some kind of weapon, something to use to fight back with, he couldn't hold up against them for much longer using his magic alone. Scanning his surroundings, all Daichi could find was the tall stems of the nearby crops, with what looked like some kind of… wait it was another scarecrow, if Daichi could make it there he could cannibalize it for a quarter staff. Or just a simple club, anything would be helpful. A large clump fell from Daichi’s wall, now or never was the thought running through his mind. This was not how Daichi liked to fight, he could only react right now, and there was barely any chance to act, or force his own strategy.
Sprinting of at full force, Daichi could feel the ground beneath him almost push against his feet to give him an extra boost. Every time it did that Daichi felt as if the Earth itself was saying go for it, I believe in you. Running at full force Daichi managed to make it their in no time at all, but he could tell that his pursuers had demolished his wall, and were quickly gaining on him again, he had to act fast. Staring at the Scarecrow Daichi was struck by a few things, firstly, it too seemed to have been affected by this cures, seemingly taking on a sinister aura, and appearance, as if to say this land belongs to the evil and dark, back of. The second being, whoever put it together obviously was having a sever pest problem, and lack of sticks, because they had used a scythe to create the arms of the Scarecrow, adding an extra eeriness to the structure.
“He’s over there; get im hurry up you corn heads!” Sounds like the only surviving Tomato was trying to rally its allies, time was running even shorter. As Daichi reached for the scythe, he could feel the scarecrow moving to watch him steal it’s arms, and could tell that if it could, it would try and tear him apart were he stood. Luckily though it appeared the curse had yet to give it full mobility. That didn't stop it from being creepy as hell. Taking a moment to weigh and test the scythe in his arms, he familiarized himself with its reactions to a few basic movements. This battle was about to change, Daichi took upon an offensive stance, Scythe raised up to his left, both hands gripping it, body lowered ready to pounce at a moment’s notice, they were nearing, this was his chance. Still as the night he waited, barely breathing, for the first sign that an enemy was within reach.

Each second seemed to drag on forever, but like the hunter he now was, he patiently waited, until his prey was within sight. They had lost him, and obviously split up to find him, just beyond his reach was a healthy looking corn, and one he assumed was hit as a result of his attempt to escape their first barrage. One more step towards him and then they would be his prey, just take the step do it. Daichi fought the urge to speak out loud his thoughts, but then something struck him, the healthy corn was patting the other one. It seemed like it was trying to make it feel better. Was it in pain, no it didn't seem to be, what was wrong? Then it motioned to place a fairly attractive plant into one of the damaged ones holes. What was going on, what was happening here, they were meant to be hunting him, why were they getting dressed? Then it struck Daichi, the corns all seemed to be vain. The tomato earlier kept calling them beauties, maybe they were very vain, and maybe Daichi could exploit this. “ Hurry up and find him you worthless vegetables” Daichi witnessed the healthier corn punch it’s fist in the direction the command came from, apparently this tomato wasn’t as good at controlling them as the other was. Ideas began to spring into Daichi’s mind, they were suddenly more logical, more predictable, more manageable.
“ Ah good the reinforcements have arrived!”, not good, this already annoying group had grown larger, but Daichi couldn't see how many or what had joined the group. This didn’t change his plans though, he still knew what he needed to do, he just needed to get closer without being seen.

Waiting for an opening to move on, Daichi began to feel like he had been frozen by accident. His legs were primed to sprint, but all he wanted to do was crawl, it was a slow transference, but he finally managed to make it. Creeping slowly, making sure to avoid moving as many of the crops as possible, made harder by the carrying of his scythe. If he wanted this plan to work he might need to drop it, he had barely managed to move 4 steps before debating the likelihood of it giving him away, when he came face to face with a stray injured corn. It stared at him for a moment, jumping up and down; clearly trying to get the attention of the others, but for some reason it couldn't talk. Still enough movement would grab their attention soon enough, and not knowing what else was out there, Daichi didn't have time to think this through, raising up the scythe, he quickly spun his body putting all force behind the downward swipe of his scythe. Not caring about the nearby vegetation at this time, he needed to take this corn out before it gave away his position. Within seconds his scythe had made contact with the ground and had made it’s swing back up, Daichi spun around for a second swing only to find the corn, split right across the waist, and fallen to the floor taken care of. ! more corn down, but that attack had surely drawn some attention, he needed to move fast, so Daichi picked up the remaining pieces of the corn and threw them through the crops to his right, making sure to make as many of them move as possible, then made a quick and careful dash of to his left, circling around to try and catch them from behind as they came to investigate.

It wasn't long before a herd of what appeared to be 9 Corn creatures, and the 1 tomato creature turned up looking for what all the commotion was, and quickly went after the remains of the corn. This was his chance, with so much corn, it wouldn't take much, and hopefully Daichi wouldn't have to do much. So from behind them all Daichi slowly walks up to them and, hiding the scythe behind him to appear non-lethal, makes himself known. “My what a wonderfully radiant color of corn you have, is that natural or do you do anything to keep it that way?” suddenly all the corn start to act as if they were the one Daichi was talking to, they all begin to show off their corn a little more, with the one damaged one left seeming to simply drape it’s head in shame, obviously feeling less of a … corn? Daichi’s plan was working, for now at least, they all seemed to be dumbfounded by this compliment. “What do you think you’re doing, get him, blast him you stupid excuse for Demons!” This tomato was no leader; it didn't understand the logic of people, not like Daichi. The corn all seemed to turn on the tomato, and in a volley of corn vomit, was no longer a fully functioning tomato, but simply a ketchup stain upon the land. Poor creature, it didn't stand a chance without it’s leader. But now the corn had no one leading them, no common enemy, and they all seemed to be turning back around to him again. They all had their focus on him now, as if they were asking which one of them he was talking to. Not good, getting them to attack each other out of common vanity was the plan, not making himself the centre of attention, not good at all.

Daichi noticed that the damaged corn was still not looking at him, his only hope, the only one that looked different from the rest, the only one that could provide uncommon ground to work from. “And those holes, very flattering, you look so.. so ….. Original in your perfect beauty!” He had the damaged ones attention now; the others had turned round to look at him to. All focus was now pointed at the damaged corn, Daichi could control this he knew he could. “So flattering, I bet all your friends here are so very jealous of you right now, even that flower you wear pales in your beauty.” Daichi knew he was layering it on thickly, but he had to try his best to bend them to his will. It seemed to be working to; the others were looking at themselves as if they were lacking something important. Something that they needed, like they needed to look the most beautiful. Before anything could happen, Daichi heard a noise from behind him, it sounded like movement, not good, if another group arrived now the entire situation would change. Adding chaos to his controlled logic, that would not be welcomed, he had to speed this up. But pushing them to far would just make them trun on him, he was stuck in this trick he was trying to pull, they were getting closer now. Those footsteps,thump…thump..THUMP! “See your friends are obviously jealous of how good you look, they just can’t stop themselves from trying to measure up to your bad boy damaged beauty look.” Throwing damaged in there, hopefully that would be enough, those footsteps would be upon them soon, time was almost up. Just a few feet away now, they could probably already see Daichi, not good, that meant they knew about his scythe.

Daichi needed to know what the creatures behind him were, they were to close now, if they told the others about his scythe, his whole plan would fall apart. Just when he could feel the plants behind him move, all hell broke loose. It was like a war of the corn, with every corn out for themselves, the only one not acting upon this was the injured one, who seemed to be more focused on the fact that Daichi had complimented it. The injured corn, who Daichi had decided to name corny, he wasn't good with names, was making its way towards him. It was a miracle that neither he nor Corny had been hit, in fact it seemed like they were all deliberately avoiding them, possibly out of some morbid want to be compared to Corny by Daichi after the fight was over. The creatures behind Daichi were also corn; they seemed to just throw themselves into the fray, trying to break the fight up. Luck appeared to be on Daichi’s side once again, they hadn't noticed his Scythe. How Daichi had no idea. All he could do was watch the carnage in front of him, as corn ripped into corn, for the right to be named the most beautiful. Daichi wondered just how long this animosity would last, and whether the numbers would have dwindled enough before the fight ended. For now though he needed to keep a firm eye out at the collection of corn, to make sure that neither he nor corny got hit by any stray attacks.

This had to be one of the weirdest situations that Daichi had ever come across, vegetables beating each other up. Daichi couldn't hold back the feeling of pride over the fact that his logic had once again won something important for him. This still wasn't over, Daichi could feel corny tugging on his scythe, and pointing at it, obviously he had noticed that this was all a plan to get them to fight each other. Suddenly all up his right hand side Daichi was blasted with a stream of corn. The sudden shock sent him barreling into the fray of corn Battle Royale. Suddenly getting bustled about by the carnage he had created, he couldn't help but think that Corny was smarter than he looked. Raising his scythe, Daichi knew this was once again turning into a fight for his life; all attention was slowly turning back onto him and his Scythe. With around 10 still fully functioning corn still able to fight, Daichi was surrounded by a naughty Child's worst nightmare, Vegetables that fight back. Spinning his scythe as fast as he could, and rotating it around his body, Daichi blocked the majority of the initial onslaught of attacks heading his way, but he was definitely beginning to feel bruises form all over his body. No one ever said being a wizard was going to be easy. For a moment both sides stood still, obviously trying to size up the competition, and see just how well they were doing themselves. Daichi could still move at full speed, but he knew that much more injuries and he would suffer drastically. Pain was already starting to stretch all over his body. This was a fight he could not last much longer in if he were to continue taking hits as he has been. But the corn didn't look much better off. Most looked barely able to hold themselves together, let alone be able to fight back. Others looked to be slightly better off, but none had escaped without some harm. Taking a quick count Daichi could make out a definitive 8 still up and moving. This was good, but he needed better, he needed to take them all out and find the source of this curse. Who knows how many more of these creatures were left, However Daichi knew his limits were beginning to draw near.

Springing straight back into the fray, Daichi took a swing with the scythe, pulling it down from up high on the right, to low on his left, while dashing to the left. Quickly following up with a spinning jump, turning counter clockwise, using momentum to spin the scythe round with him. Doing a full flip during his spinning jump Daichi lands on his feet to continue turning round with the scythe, only to end up with it back in the up behind his head on the right hand side position, while keeping a low position. Each and every swing of the scythe designed to either decapitate or severely injure at least one of the corn creatures. Staying still for only a moment Daichi takes in his surroundings to locate another nearby corn creature, the one furthest away, but still within reach, Daichi pounces in that direction, keeping his body low, and swinging his scythe round in an attempt to split the creature in two. By now Daichi would have taken to many hits to keep moving at full pace, even with the ground providing him an extra little burst of speed. Daichi’s best chance is to divide and conquer now, dashing off into the crops once more, using them to hide behind while planning his next move.

Daichi took a moment to look back at what he had achieved while turning around to circle back into the fray; apparently he hadn’t taken any of them down, but had simply damaged their excessively durable arms. These corn creatures were starting to make a mockery of him, Daichi was covered in a collection of injuries now. His left leg was straining to respond too it’s orders, and Daichi knew that he had most likely cracked a rib. But he wasn't going to give up anytime soon. He needed to help these people, and he would accomplish that at any cost, these Demonic corn cobs were going down. There were corn pieces flying everywhere, apparently they had lost track of him and were trying to reacquire his position. That was good, that meant that if Daichi played his cards right he could get the next attack in before they knew what hit them, Corn suddenly flew right past his head, forcing him to duck. Grimacing Daichi fought down the urge to grunt out in pain. Waiting for the right time to strike Daichi saw a group of 3 badly injured Corns standing together trying to keep an eye out for each other, Corny wasn't far behind them. Funnily enough it looked like Corny had taken over control of this force of fury. They must have some way to communicate with each other, some logic to control this chaos, but Daichi didn't have time for that, the main focus of his enemy was on the other side of the field. Readying himself Daichi charged out from his hiding place, and swung his scythe low, managing to cleft the 3 corn in half, Quickly flicking the blade around, Daichi made a dash for Corny, making a quick succession of 3 attacks, first from the left to upper right, then straight down the middle, and then spinning round to do a middle vertical slash. Stopping to stare at what he had done, and the whereabouts of the remaining corn.

Daichi felt exhausted, the strain of moving after taking so many hit’s was beginning to seriously take its toll on him. He could taste copper in his mouth; obviously he had begun to bleed, but that was unimportant. The life threatening issue was the array of corn in front of him, with Corny only being able to block his first attack, and now cut into 4 quite similar quarters. The smell of freshly cut grass graced his nostrils helping Daichi to keep his calm, His logical thoughts taking forefront in this mess of a battle. Each and every leader keeps getting cut down to size, the corn are once again in slight disarray, with some trying to flee, while others try to make them keep fighting. Now would be the best chance to Attack those trying to rally the others, if Daichi could succeed then the others would likely flee in an attempt to escape further torture. Daichi had them on the run, with only 4 Corn left standing, 2 trying to run, and the other 2 trying to rally them, none were paying attention to his actions. A chance for a breather Daichi readied himself, knowing this might not be the end, if even on escaped, more could come. Having felt his mind clear of all worries, Daichi sprang right back into action, almost as if his logical thoughts had triggered an autopilot. A quick leap to the left, with a swing of the scythe to follow, then a land and roll, Block the escapees path. A quick but powerful kick to the fleeing corn creature, sending it reeling back towards the rallying corn creature, in an attempt to keep them close together. Before sprinting past them both towards the other two remaining corn. Bringing the Scythe up over his head, Daichi used the blunt end to shove both back towards their friends. A powerful swing of the blunt side of the scythe being the reason to send the creatures together to group as one.
