A Wizard's Grace

Yesterday, Destiny had been looking through the list of jobs when he found one that looked rather intrigueing. It was about a supposed curse placed on all the farmlands in Beanstalk Village, so off he went hurriedly searching for the village as fast as he could to find out more.

Present Day...

It had taken him roughly 4 hours to get to his destination from his guild but he had finally made it. "Here at last, the location of my next mission!"He had been anticipating his arrival here ever since he took off and not just because of the big reward he was going to receive at the end of all this, but mostly because he wanted to know what kind of curse had been inflicted upon the village. Destiny decided to walk farther into the village to find out more about what was going on...

As the Shadow Mage began to explore farther into the village, he already saw many townsfolk trembling in fear for some unknown reason, although he guessed it might have something to do with the job request. He searched around looking to see if he might be able to find the whereabouts of the chief of this village. He asked a couple of people but they gave no answer but then he came across a small, rather strange old man who carried a walking stick.

Destiny had learned numerous times that when it comes to non-wizards, often the most intelligent people seemed to be older people so he wondered if he might know where the Chief might be...

Destiny walked up to the old-looking gentlemen and asked him, "Excuse me, but do you know where I might be able to find the Chief of this village?" He looked at me for a few seconds with a puzzled expression on his face before finally giveing his response. "Ah, yes, well now... I guess that would have to be me. My name is Nickolas, although if you want to, you can call me Nick. Everyone else does in this village anyway. Well I've told you who I am so who might you be?" He questioned me, not too suprisingly, after all I hadn't yet introduced myself.

"Sorry about that. I guess it was awfully rude of me not to introduce myself first. my name is Destiny. I'm a mage from the high ranking Sabertooth guild who I'm sure you must've heard about. I came here after hearing about this job from my guild and looking it up on the job list. I must admit, I did find rather intrigueing actually and quite strange and mysterious at the same time. So by any chance could you perhaps tell me more about it?"

The old man thought this over for a little while before finally making his decision. He had come come up with quite a great idea, "Why don't I actually show you instead? It's right up ahead."

Destiny walked slowly behind the village leader so that he could lead the way to where they were going as he was new to this area so didn't know his way around quite yet. The chief had said that he would actually SHOW him the reasoning for the urgent job request that had been sent to all of the legal guilds that could be possibly found nearby. As they neared the location of where they were headed, the chief said "you should be careful, I believe that this is no ordinary job for mages even of your kind and you may have some difficulty. The problem is within the farmland, the crops have all withered, whilst at the same time they have gotten some sharp thorns, but the most mysterious thing about them is that they seem to glow with this strange eerie light." Destiny was quite astonished by this, as he could not have ever expected this at all, well at least not the last two changes. "Hmm, very... strange indeed. I might have to keep my wits about me if I'm to learn about what could have caused all of this..."

They finally arrived at the location of the farmlands where all the crops were grown. Destiny noticed that the old man's statements seemed to be true enough as they had done all THREE of the tings that he had said...

Suddenly, he heard a rumbling sound from underneath the ground and then Destiny noticed that some of the 'crops' seemed to move slightly. "I think you should return and go back to the village, I don't think these are ordinary plants and might not even be the same crops that you had grown in fact. You should go back and find some safety... HURRY!"

As the chief made his way back to the village some very weird-looking creatures appeared... They looked like plants but they were moving, they must've been plant demons he thought...

'Monster Dice' :

As Destiny turned back around after seeing the old man heading back down to the village, he noticed something strange about the creatures that had appeared. They looked almost exactly the same as the plants that usually grow in this area, however not completely the same. Theys till had their thorns sticking out like the man had said and the strange light eerily glowing around them.

Destiny had heard a little bit about these creatures, they were called Plant Demons and were created by being put under a curse.

Destiny then rushed out and charged towards the creatures and whilst ducking a swipe from the first Broccoli, went past it and then continued running towards the others who were starting to group together. He kicked one in the stomach, before jumping off it's head leaping to the 4th plant demon kneeing it in the face before falling to kick it back in the stomach while still in midair. Upon landing, Destiny finally dealt a lethal elbow jab behind him to hit another one in the ribs and turned to punch it twice in the stomach.

Before all 10 broccoli plant demons could gather and manage to surround him, he ran back to open ground where he would have enough space to fight, while at the same time be on the lookout for other monsters like these as Destiny was sure they weren't the only ones...

Brocolli Plant Demons: 10/10 Remaining:

Destiny new that, by far, he clearly had the upper hand on these, seemingly menacing broccoli-like creatures, and had a great advantage as they seemed only able to use physical attacks and no ranged attacks. This would mean that Destiny would be the clear winner as due to his magic, he is unable to be hit physically in any way. Due to this fact, he knew that these monsters would be absolutely no challenge to him whatsoever. Knowing this, he started to envelop himself in a shadow, thickening around both his arms and legs. The shadow would increase Destiny's speed tremendously in both movement and attack as well as defense (if needed). His speed would've now been increased by a grand total of 20%.



Destiny decided to make it quick so decided it would be best to take out the weakened ones first. He ran towards them with aburst of speed, taking them all by surprise. He sprinted even faster as he started to close the distance between them. To make it easier for the next attack, he firstly gave the Broccoli #1 an uppercut pushing him backwards slightly, before kneeing him in the face and then whilst in the air, kicked the Broccoli downwards, slamming him into the ground. He thenrushed on towards the next line of his enemies. There was 5 of them in total lined up to face him, but he knew they would have no chance. He charged towards 3 of them (#2, #3 & #4) and kicked all 3 of them in the stomach at the same time and then kicked #2 in the face and by also using the momentum from this, launched off and attacked #3 and #4. Destiny using #2 as a launching pad, launched himself towards the 2 broccoli and using both of his fists, punched both of them in the stomach with 1 fist each knocking them to the ground before he then lashed out stomping on both on them in the face as he landed, as they had both landed next to each other on their backs.

Destiny had decided to then head towards #5 and #6. He had started to attack #5 first... He first gave him a blow to the face and then gave him a kick to the back before punching #6 twice in the face and then kneeing him yet again in the stomach as Destiny had noticed on previous encounters that this area seemed to be a weak spot for many creatures as well as some mages.

Broccoli Plant Demons Remaining: 9/10

After finally disposing of the first demon, Destiny gained more confidence from it so started to really start getting into the action more and start giving out more lethal blows to finish off these hellish plants. Destiny rushed on to get some strikes in on the rest. However, first off, he had decided to finish off the two that were directly to the side of him which were the fifth and sixth demon plants.

He finished off #6 with two kicks to the chest, and then disposed off #5 just as easily by bouncing off #6's chest to leap sidewards towards #5, delivering a superpowerful fist to the jaw finally finishing off both enemies.

"Well that's another 2 down for the count it seems. That makes 3 in total... With only SEVEN more to go... With another burst of speed, Destiny headed back towards the way that he had came towards where the first ones stood. He had started off with two almost rocket-speed punches to knock out #3 before then attacking #2 with a flying kick to the face and then punching it in the jaw to take down 2 more. He went ahead to dispose of #1. He had finally managed to find it after a little and used his lastburst of speed and raced towards it. Destiny then thought about how to end this one and then settled on his decision. He finished off Broccoli Demon #1 by firstly by kneeing him in the jaw and then giving it a solid punch in the throat defeating it leaving only four left.

Destiny, the master of controlling shadows, charged towards the last 4 demons to make which would hopefully be his last attack on them. He looked on towards the 4 annoying green demonic weaklings (who in his opinion they were actually quite weak according to him).

He made his move and building up momentum started to charge into the battle once again ready to finish this once and for all. He stormed right up to the first one and gave it a good 4 solid punches before bringing his foot back found to finish it off with a well-aimed kick. "1 down, 3 to go", Destiny said with pure confidence. He smiled to himself in amusement as although he probably wouldn't admit it, Destiny had in fact been rather enjoying this. Destiny had quite quickly afterwards found himself faced with the next one, quickly dispatching it by kneeing it in the stomach, with a quick 2 punches to go with it before jumping up, over the other side so he was now in the air behind the creature. Destiny then finished it up by kicking it just below the neck and then by putting his two hands together, came down and smashed them into it's back with great force. Grinning widely, Destiny soon was done with the third of the four remaining when he gave two punches to the jaw, a kick to the throat and then another two kicks, slamming into it's ribs. "Interesting, there seems to be only one left... Wow this might even be just a little bit TOO easy!" Destiny exclaimed almost laughing. Finally, he steadied himself to fight the last one and take it out... He jumped up and punched it with great power in the face, before landing a powerful blow to the back of the head with his foot before giving a nice uppercut to the underside of the jaw, followed by a kick in the side of the ribs and then putting his legs and feet together, slamming downwards and crunching into the demon's knee dealing out the finishing blow to this horde of Broccoli Demons. "... And that's the last of them it seems. Let's just hope there aren't anymore similiar Plant Demons around, although as these creatures are usually brought about by a curse, I think I'd like to take on the boss behind all of this and teach him a lesson and make him/her regret ever bringing harm to any innocent citizens in villages and towns like this one and make him pay for what he has done..."
