Alistair's alarm clock started buzzing and woke him up. Alistair had just recently moved to Fiore from Minstrel and still had nothing to do with his days. He hadn't even looked at any of the guilds in the area yet. He did manage to find a job board for the guildless mages posted in Clover Town Square. While he was still in bed he thought to himself "I could really do with some more money and something to do. Looks like I'll have to get up and go get a job." Alistair proceeded to get out of bed. He walked into the bathroom and brushed his teeth, he then proceeded to shave his face as closely as possible. He jumped into the shower for a good five minutes or so. He then got out and dried himself and his hair. He began to dress himself, thinking to himself about which tie he should wear. He decided on a nice black tie for today, which he tied in a full windsor knot after layering up the rest of his suit, without the coat, as it was rather warm outside.
After finishing getting dressed he walked himself to Clover Town Square and found a job posting that said "Please help! We have a huge banquet tonight, but most of our staff, including the head chef, have come down with a bad case of food poisoning. We need someone to take over in the kitchen as a cook. We have an expeditor and a few chefs left for you to manage. Please have experience in Minstrelian cooking." Alistair looked at the bottom of the request and saw that it was from the head manager at La Vigne, one of the most famous restaurants in Fiore. The job was in Oak Town and Alistair only had a few hours to get there for the start of the job, so he ran to the train station just in time to catch the train heading to Oak Town.
